Hello,
I applied As a dependent together with my wife, she got her cos and everything, she did her police report but I was told I won’t be needing a police report since I’m not the MA, few days after our biometric at TLS I received a mail to send additional document and that is the police report.
Please is a police report and English proficiency Necessary for a tier 2 dependent visa ?

Why would you take them say them say .... when you should check the guidelines and following it word by word. The guidelines clearly states the adult dependent also needs police report

If I were you. I would immediately book police report tonight and be at their office on Monday to capture. Without police report it is rejection and you wasted your application fee...better hurry .lol

I’ve just been very uncomfortable and scared but thank you anyway , I will wait.

Does that mean you don't trust this comment you posted below if you are uncomfortable and scared ? ..... if you dont then why post it as others might read it , taking it as gospel truth and submit early which can lead to rejection.

Kinkwin:

Thank you for this because I know someone that it happened to.. he submitted online and was waiting for his 28days to elapse then he printed out his statement , applied and got the visa. Like you said better safe than sorry, I pray I get the visa cry

Kinkwin:

Thank you for this .. some people think that UKVI are robots , they are human beings like us , even though the website says otherwise , it’s still up to their discretion to give you visa or not. I am pretty sure some people have submitted bank statements one day less than 28days and they still got their visa.

You only need to show your own maintenance funds.

festacgirlie

Is this true mimilyrics ? .... because if yes then the main applicant can easily apply then use that same money to apply for the dependent... meaning recycling the money

I would say it the main applicant maintenance plus dependent that should be shown

Just wise I think I seen a very old comment from you on this topic of recycling money

See that plan of someone ready to pay your school fees, do you know how many people have been disappointed . Even Parents can run into hard time and disappoint .......how much more Uncle and Aunties...... them dey make promises but when reality reach to bring the money , story go enter ..(but u can understand why , to train someone in dollars is not easy )...... Forget about using f1 to run , e no easy like that (forget about that waka oo) . although i know you are not thinking about that

Fine WES might be expensive but you have a good GPA of 3.6 , settle down well and find a good school that has good funding . There are schools out there that give full ride for international and 3.6 is good. if it means u have to pay for WES or do SAT to give you a foot into funding that is better than getting admission with no funding and then when time to pay , story enter

He is not attacking you the way you thought but trying to tell you that not all fingers are equal and not everyone who got F1 visa are going there to study and everyone are not genius like you .

For instance someone who had C5 parallel in his or her waec result and went ahead to evaluate it just wasted the money because the Gpa can't even reach 2.2 Gpa and am sure there is a condition that attract awarding of the scholarship..

The bold above is getting really difficult to survive with that strategy ...... you can be stuck in limbo for years, Also Uncle Trump is not playing . It still easier to pick up your book, try and read pass the exam and find funding as an F1 .... And then shine your eyes well during your f1 status wink. That really should be everyone focus here

Please what's your opinion on IGlobal University in Virginia? I got an offer for their MBA program

mevisbleek:

Good Morning Sir,
Hope you having a splendid weekend. Congrats on your admission. I'm of the opinion that any MBA program that doesn't not require GMAT is not a strong program. I have a strong feeling that the VO will ask for test scores when they hear that you are going for an MBA.

Been an MBA grad, I will advise you to take GMAT and get into a better school that will offer you internship opportunities and one that has a strong alumni network.

That been said, I'm in no position to tell you what to do with your life. I know that GMAT is hard but it better to do things right the first time.

Thanks for helping me type this grin. You must have taken it from my head. Lol

Also when it comes to MBA if you plan to get a good job in the US to gain some work experience then aim for good MBA programs. Its so competitive for jobs and its all about the school, the network and offcourse how u perform in the interview but a good school will coach you as well.... so my person its not how far but how well. Go take GMAT study very well for it and get into another school.

But if u want to come back immediately and just spend dollars then yeah go for it but and even crossing that Vo that another topic

I got a full funding from Montana state University together with a GTA for an MS in Mathematics . My visa interview is for next week, I want to ask if I still need to go with a bank statement for the interview?
Thank you.

Full funding thats great. Congrats on that. If u have a bank statement take but it wont be so necessary. What u need make sure is to be very prepared for d interview. Send some people transcript to review if needed. Your full funding must complete to visa success ooo ...Once u prepare well u will be fine. Ur bank statement wont be an issue for full GA at all

Also next week is full of holiday so u need to comfirm that ur date is not falling on salah or monday holiday

Searching for cheap flights is another work o...

I'm not even seeing direct flights to Montana... Somebody please help!!!

Thanks in advance

Congrats on your visa ..........But how u "won take" find direct flight to Montana tongue grin
how na...lol. Its not a popular route from Africa .
You will have to get a flight which might not even be direct to the big cities like Newyork and Chicago and then take a local flight to Montana the city which is closest to your school........Montana is a state, ur search should be the city not the state . Except if you mean Montana in West Virginia. Clarify so you dont book to the wrong place
Factor that the local flight dont include luggage so you pay an extra cost for your checked bags on the local flight .

Hello guys,i want to clarify, if i secure an F-1 student visa and get to the US, is it possible not to show up at the school due to the high school fees and just find my way??!!!

Best to target other countries such as those in Europe with free tuition if u dont have money

Find your way ,not showing up ....will mean u most likely be illegal. Do you know d emotional tension that goes with that. Also u cant get a job because u dont have papers so emotional stress with financial issues. You will just be a mess and wished u had remained in naija .

Nigeria has its own issues but at least u sleep in a house and apart from mosquito disturbing ur sleep or no light but at least sleep straight . If Ilegal u be crying every night maybe on d street too .

Best to make sure you are always in status

vo: so why did you choose southwest Minnesota state university over others

me: I said it organizes an undergraduate research conference annually this which would challenge me to develop my self academically so I can showcase my intellectual ability.and also the school tuition and living expenses are affordable compared to other school and it has a good students to faculty ratio which is 16:1.

Sorry to read this...maybe its becoming harder. That been said this above wasnt a very good answer.

Most undergrad do research conferences so its most likely all ur other schools do it. Then to ur next reason and next faculty ratio...most schools have good ratio . So nothing stood out to make it memorable.

.next time stay away from generic answers and make it unique. U have the first 10 second to make a good impression so if they are now asking 1 or 2 questions then its key that u are on point from beggining. All the best

Thanks..Reason i said that, when i checked d school website and on google found details that the school has been ranked by Us news & world report as a top tier uni for 24 consecutive yrs and Forbes also ranked d school has one of america best colleges for 7 yrs. He didn't allow me finish my sentence. D min I mentioned top tier was when he said that.. Anyway all dat is gone...

Have gone thru some transcript from page 8 and now here. But its my main question I need answer to which u didn't answer. Anyway thanks..

Reading or reading with the intention to learn are 2 different things. .. go back to the thread and read with the intention to learn . You will find all the answers you need and read of others who had similar experience as yours... Take it slowly and u see what i mean

** I answered your main question that yes you can apply again in July and u just need to be better prepared

The consular in window 1, a man interviewed me.
He asked the following questions
1. Why the school, I told him
2. How many schools did u apply to, told him 2 and named them.
3. Then he said why murray over the other uni.
Me: Cos the school has been known as a top tier uni....

According to forbes list ...Murray State is #195 in Public Colleges.... so u see d first problem. A school that is 195 in public college in the USA u then said the reason its a top tier Uni. ..... d bells would have rang na she must be joking

Go through all the past transcript and i think u will learn a lot and be better next time .you can go in july but be better prepared

Pls guys is it cool telling the vo that my uncles church in newyork is sponsoring me and how can I even get research topics and scholarship.

Confirm that in writing before u leave oo or else hunger and frustration fit enter ooo . For tax reporting of a non profit makes me say u really need to be sure what they will sponsor for u. So u know how to plan urself and not get a shocker ....

Back to the question yes it ok but u need documentation to prove the sponsorship if asked at interview official letter from the organisation and others. So when asked it is not my uncle church but xx church or the official name.

How did you get it. The church has a sponsorship program and my name was recommended by my uncle and i passed the selection process

I really don't get the logic.. If i apply to just one school and gain admission, and I state it quite clearly, why should the VO ask for other schools and deny the visa based on single application?
Does applying to just one school portray unseriousness?.

I dont think the issue is that you applied to one school , it is Do you have a reasonable explanation to why you applied to this School only . If you have a good logic behind it then there is no problem .

Also a serious student ideally should apply to more than one school.... Because who puts all their eggs in one basket , if you are determined to go to school this fall and apply to only one school. If that school doesn't give you admission ...Then you just wasted a full semester as you have to wait for the next admission circle .

It like saying you are applying for job only in one company, who does that ..Definitely not a serious Job applicant when dey find work

i think its also a cultural thing because Ideally if you grew up in the US, Americans rarely apply to only one school U see intelligent competitive student applying to all the IVY leagues at once except if they is a logically reason .. . Maybe all your generations are Yale graduate and you must attend only Yale .Fine but you see here there is a sentimental reason to it. If it that you want to remain in a state to claim instate tuition, there usually more than one university in a state . . Nigeria Jamb system is one school but their system they apply to multiple programs to get the best fin aid package and then choose .
Even during recruitment time, U see students with 3 job offers they will still be hustling for more interview so they can pick and choose from options
