At least we agree that the Northern border is also closed, that is the first step in the right direction.
What part of the northern border exactly is closed? Because those of us in the North can see that it's still busineses as usual. FG can play politics with anything but security, you can't hide those stats.

Seriously? There are a lot more serious reasons, with far reaching consequences, than sexual preferences of consenting adults please.

Politics / Re: '2023 Is Not Right Time For Igbo Presidency' – Shettima, A. Y. C. F. Leader by darqly(m): 11:10am On Dec 28, 2019
The South-West is a direct beneficiary of this administration because they occupy strategic positions while the North is left with nothing other than the Presidency.

This Shettima is what Hausa people refer to as "makaryacin banza", aka Worthless liar. APC will end before the 2023 elections, so they can field any clown they wish to.

From the small footage of the fire fight I saw that unit in Damaturu knew what they were doing , the put up a solid firewall to halt the Boko Haram offensive and damn they had tracer rounds to light up the battle field ...Solid unit , I was impressed .

The video with the tracer rounds is NOT the firefight mind you. That video isn't even of the Nigerian army.

Politics / Re: Kaduna Dry Port: Nigeria Losing 100,000TEUs Cargo To Benin Annually by darqly(m): 7:43am On Nov 02, 2019
There's a way our business community reports news that is not altogether accurate. We condition ourselves to think we deserve to get business opportunities because we are Nigeria or because we built the "Biggest" (Insert whatever), not minding the ease of doing business. If Benin Rep is getting XYZ number of cargo, it doesn't translate to we are losing business, we never had it in the first place! It's not a zero sum game either, they have a share, we must fight for a share too. You build a dry inland port, then stupidly close the border (just one of the random things..) and expect them to choose patriotism over profits? That sort of dumb argument flies in Nigeria, not in the real world.

FarahAideed:

He should secure it with what? Does he have a single policeman under his control? Give him state police and see if he doesn't

Lol, before that time, everyone in Taraba should be murdered or kidnapped abi? You have state resources, your state looks like S**t. Giving him state police will yield nothing different, in my opinion. The man is hardly ever in Taraba in the first instance. Real clown of a governor.

executive12:

Don't mind him. And he probably opposes restructuring and State and regional Police.

You soliloquizing on whether I support or oppose restructuring is your problem bro. Our governors designate themselves as Chief security officers and receive a security vote to boot. If he cannot use the resources at his disposal to protect the people that voted him and you're waiting for him to build state police before he can, then your issues are clearly different from mine. "He doesn't control police", this assertion has emboldened our governors to just become stupid figureheads while we provide that alibi.

Pocket your ignorance.

Taraba is the second largest in landmark after Niger state.

We used to travel for about 2-3 hours on bike inside one local government for our clearance when I was serving there.
Scarcely populated with mountains and forests.

This is how you read to respond instead of reading to UNDERSTAND. I said Jalingo, you're talking about Taraba State, are they same thing? I lived and worked in Jalingo and you want tell me about my surroundings? If you served in interior Taraba, good for you, but at least camp was in Jalingo. You can traverse the ENTIRE Jalingo, from the entrance at Roadblock to where Govt house is, in literally 15Mins, no traffic.
Crime / Re: Kidnappers Kill Imam Mallam Gambo, One Other In Taraba by darqly(m): 11:28pm On Oct 30, 2019
The entire Jalingo is as small as Ahmadu Bello way in Jos, and Darius cannot secure this small stretch of road of a state. Useless governors everywhere, north, south, APC and PDP.

Politics / Re: 2023 Presidency: El-rufai’s Men Rev Up Campaign by darqly(m): 8:36am On Sep 28, 2019
Buckubuck:

How is the north being betrayed? They voted massively for buhari despite his forgettable first term. Abba kyari was there throughout the first term doing his thing. No northerner came out to complain against him. So where's the betrayal coming from?

You clearly don't understand what betrayal means then. If they voted for PMB, despite his OBVIOUS flaws, expecting him to somehow do better, and it gets worse instead, what is that termed? The entire country is experiencing insecurity but the worst hit regions are in the North, with daily killings and abductions, mostly going unreported, meanwhile the entire security hierarchy is Northern! Is this not betrayal? And the mistake people make is lumping muslim north with the rest of north and calling us North. Muslim northern voters are mostly swayed by religion, not so for the rest of us, so we didn't vote MASSIVELY for PMB either. We have a term in hausa "Cin Amana". If you claim you're from Northern Nigeria, you understand that term and what it means in this context.
Politics / Re: 2023 Presidency: El-rufai’s Men Rev Up Campaign by darqly(m): 11:45pm On Sep 21, 2019
Buckubuck:

I'm in northern Nigeria and I know what i'm saying. Those youths you say may be from southern Kd. Dat is naturally understandable. Besides that, educated and politically conscious northern youths esp muslims like El-Rufai as much as they detest Tinubu. I hope you're aware that presently in northern Nigeria, the narrative is that Tinubu is a thief and therefore not fit for the presidency. Most of them prefer an Osinbajo presidency to Tinubu.. Most of them see El-Rufai as Buhari's godson and a fearless defender of northern interest and hegemony. Osinbajo's problem is with the cabal though. He has offended them heavily and they intend to deal with him this second term as events in the past week has proved

Interesting take. The pulse in Northern Nigeria right now isn't anywhere near looking forward to a PMB successor, the North is being betrayed presently, and we're learning a brutal lesson. El Rufai is in a grey area, pseudo intellectual who wants to appeal to the northern mass by pandering to ethnic and religious division. I can't see the future, but Abba Kyari is the de-facto president of Nigeria, and he's not having any of this El Rufai repackaging, thankfully.
Politics / Re: 2023 Presidency: El-rufai’s Men Rev Up Campaign by darqly(m): 3:37pm On Sep 21, 2019
Buckubuck:

I'll have you know that most northern youths see El-Rufai as a presidential material, a natural successor to Buhari

You can't make this assertion without hard data bro. Are you in Northern Nigeria? What research did you carry out or how have you been able to make such a sweeping statement? I have a cluster of northern youth mainly from Kaduna who cannot stand Elrufai's guts but I can't use that as a premise to state that the north is anti-ElRufai. The only similarity between Rufai and PMB in my opinion, is their nepotism and religious bigotry, one only hides his own better than the other. Outside that, ElRufai is not as unintelligent as PMB but he's more dangerous and power will uncloak is megalomania.
Politics / Re: 2023 Presidency: El-rufai’s Men Rev Up Campaign by darqly(m): 12:17pm On Sep 21, 2019
How the mind of Nigerian politicians and their supporters work needs to be studied as a malady, and a cure proffered. This is just 2019, ElRufai has not done anything remotely remarkable for Kaduna, except stoke ethno-religious division and chase invisible bandits on Kad-Abj expressway when he's idle. People that moot him as presidential material really need to step back and assess their own life choices thus far. It's the sacred duty of every Nigerian citizen regardless of tribe, religion or sexual orientation to ensure ElRufai NEVER gets close to the presidency, well unless he's visiting the president. He's an awful, awful, awful hate-filled little man who has taught his children to also hate.

I expect the DMI, NIA, DIA, DSS and other intelligence agency to break this BHT intelligence network.

Actually, it's the other way round. The soldiers withdrew BECAUSE an attack was imminent. Recall that insurgents had attacked Baga, Bama and Benesheik before Jakana. The FG can keep spewing half truths about the potency of BH/ISAWAP, one day, the military will have had enough!!

When your card is retained by another bank, you cannot be assured of the integrity of the card. This is because you don't know who has had access to the card details, PAN, Security and expiration date. I'm sure you know that is all that is needed for card-not-present transactions to be approved? Even your own bank will insist you indemnify them before they return your card back to you after it has been retained.

Please who can spot "Monday Chikwunka" amongst the suspects lined up in the photo? The Nigerian government is an enemy of the people and will play us against ourselves to achieve their agenda. How can a Monday lead bandits in Katsina, NW Nigeria? HOW? And how can anyone with even a partial brain believe this hogwash? How come non-northern Nigerians turn up in the North to lead kidnappers and cattle rustlers, but northerners cannot go to the south and lead criminal gangs successfully?
