How can one tell, if she has hormonal imbalance. A friend has a year old baby and she said she has been trying to conceive since her baby was 9months nd no show, my question after giving birth is there anything a mum should do to prepare herself for another journey, nd what could possibly go wrong?
I had the same issue. Been trying for another baby since my baby was 9mths too. Just conceived now that he is 14mths. She need to track her ovulation, and also very importantly stop being anxious.

Mehnnnn!!! I have been through alot this past few days. Even as a nurse I got so confused. So DS(almost 8months) was a little bit warmer than usual on Friday night,by Saturday morning he had a temperature spike of 37.8,I gave him paracetamol syrup and started lonart, antimalaria syrup for him that morning. By Sunday,I told hubby this boy is still having fever o let us take him to the hospital at least to run test since he has had 3doses of the anti malaria already and the fever is still there. Hubby started saying shebi you are a nurse na,and that his dad is a nurse and he never went to the hospital as a kid. I foolishly said ok o,oya go and buy us Zinnat antibiotic (which he bought for 4,450naira),we started that one too. Sunday night I didn't sleep,my son had a temp spike of 39.3 I kept on tepid sponging him after giving him Nurofen syrup while Hubby
Well said. Self medication is really bad. I have my own experience too. My 11mths old son usually have boils but it ll go on it s own. This particular boil came up as usual. We thot it was the normal boil.So we started applying mupiderm n antibiotics as usual. But d boil was getting bigger by the day.
After a week , we had to take him to d hospitalLo n behold he was admitted n spent 5days for common boil. He had to be placed on antibiotics thru IV.
It wouldn't have resulted to this if we had gone to d hospital much earlier.
Please no matter how small you think any ailment could be, let the doctor decide d treatment to give

It all depends on you.
Some parents never give their kids anything with sugar for the first 3 years sef.
Some start from 6m since from that age they can eat adult food.
Some start from a year.
It depends on you and what you believe in.

For me.
I used to water it down with plenty water for my babies.
But at least for the past 5-6m ,my kids haven't had a taste of all these packed juice. I don't even give them to school with all the yamayama being discovered in them we take plenty snacks and water.
Thank you ma

Let me also add this since prevention is better than cure.
I started bathing once a day depending on d weather.
Then when bathing him I close d bathroom window n door then steam up the bathroom before I remove his clothes
after bathing him I dress him up inside d bathroom diaper oiling d body everything before we come out infact we both come out sweating grin
Exactly what i do for my baby too. It sure helps

My 2 cents
Don't leave your baby with a nanny at home, talkless of a teenager that has other things she's thinking about. Please I beg you. 2 options though:
1. Hubs can sacrifice the car for you (If you drive), problem with this is you'll be carrying your baby long distance and with traffic and traffic robbers in this Lagos it's not a good idea
2. What I did. Find a creche near the house, You and hubs leave home together and drop the baby (Or hubs drops her/him if he doesn't want to leave same time with you). Then either of you pick up after you close (most likely your DH since he may get home earlier). This saves your baby stress from Lagos waka. I suggest you find a good creche and start your LO a week or 2 before you resume (a few hours everyday not the full day) to ensure both you and the baby adjust because separation anxiety is a serious thing and it showed me pepper grin
@ spiceemiee. Pls follow hunniesuzzie's advice. I had d same question abt 2 mths ago too. We eventually found a good creche on my street. I just come n pick my LO after work and we stroll home. The good thg is d caregiver uses her house for creche wch leaves room for flexibility..

I am so worried dat i am contemplating resignation.. Please , i need ur advice .. thk u
gd morning mamas. I remember my post about 2mths ago. I was freaking out dat time. I am happy to tell the house dat we eventually found a good creche just close to my house. The caregiver has been wonderful and my son is doing great. No bout of infection wch was part of my worries. A special thks to @hotmomma, @mizbaby and @enque for your encouragement.

Ehen ehen ehen! Resign kee? Sis abeg e never reach. Many mamas here are working and coping fine so would you.
Getting a random nanny to stay home with a child is a no no for me grin
Look for a good creche esp attached to a school and be a generous mummy wink pray hard and everything would fall in place.
On the lookout for a good creche... No more thots of resignation again..lol.. Thank you

Hi, I'm a ftm too. I had to put my son in a dayhome at 2 weeks old because I'm in school and want to finish my program on time without any extensions. What I did was give him formula to take during the day and breastfeed him only at night. He is doing fine, he will soon be four months old. His care provider spoils him even, and he is always excited to see her. I don't regret my decision one bit. My studies is going fine and my supervisor even nominated me for two conference trips. I couldn't be happier and my baby is happy too. Its better than bringing in a random nanny into your home. Its a difficult decision but you won't regret it. Abi no be your pikin go chop the salary.
2weeks? wow u really tried. Lucky u though.. I pray for ur kind of care provider.. The thought of resignation popped up out of frustration jare. I urnestly feel better nw. Searching for a good creche nw.. Thank u

My son had it at about that age too! I read that it could be caused by dehydration so step up on his feeds and give little water if need be. Most of the reviews I also read online also said not to worry that it'll go on its own and that's what happened!!!
I am relieved.. thk u ma
