Good evening mamas and papas of this great forum. please my DD have been having boils upon boils. Biocine syrup was prescribed, the boils cleared but will reappear after the completion of the dosage. she was placed on augmenting suspension last two weeks. At our 9 months immunization I still complained but her doctor insist is part of teething since all the test result are good. Duno what else to do. The healed part lives some black scar and my dd is fair in complexion. what should I do bikonu. am using rising powder and Shea butter

I have exactly the same issue with my 5mths old baby. We went to the hospital 3times but the antibiotics given didn't do much. The doctor had to advise us manage it and stop the drugs. He still has boils. I usually apply Shea butter till the pus comes out and give paracetamol to ease the pain. I know he will outgrow it soon. For the scar, it will blend with skin color with time because they are still growing.

This eela suffered I and my baby for months, after spending so much, it was cacatin, one brown soap that smells like S.T soap of those days and the red flower that cleared it in less that two weeks.

Hello mamas. Please I need your advice. We went for immunization for 10weeks, a week ago. However, the injection site is still swollen and hard but not that painful. Is there any home remedy for the swelling or should I just head back to the hospital...

This same thing happened to my mum. Immediately after she had me, she took fp pills. Hers was not implanon tho, hers was pills. She developed goitre and it was discovered that it was caused by the pills. She had that thing for years till she went for surgery to remove it. She since warned me not to take pills.

Hello mummies, please i need help.
My 18 Month old has been having difficulty pooping for a while now. He can go two days without pooping because it is usually hard. He strains, runs around the house and cry before passing it out. It’s becoming worrisome because i give him oranges everyday to ease it but it still comes out really hard and painful.
I’m suspecting cerelac or custard as the culprits but i havent been able to establish it because i have tried to take out these two from his diet but sometimes it comes out hard.
Other foods he takes are potato, noodles, pasta, rice and the likes. We hardly do swallow.
What can i do please? I need a lasting solution asap oo.

You can add vegetables to his meal. He can take rice and vegetables instead of stew. Add vegetables in his potatoes and noodles . To me, it works faster than fruits. Fruits are also essential though

Hello mamas. Just to pass a message about FP. Please ask questions from caregivers and also research before deciding on which type to do. My cousin has 3 children and decided to do fp, she opted for the one that is put under the skin. Shortly after, she started feeling ill only for her to be diagnosed with goitre. Curiously, upon checking Google, she found out it is one of the side effects of the fp. She immediately had it removed and complained to them about not sensitising people enough about the side effects.

For the poo, it was egusi-like, until two days ago it became plain, still yellowish but no longer seedy like egusi, hope we are safe o

Also, I noticed something like dandruff at the center of his head, it made that area kinda rough, I've been applying coconut oil and brushing it, and I just want to confirm if its the cradle cap I do hear about or if its something that requires me to take him to the hospital.

Your LO and mine are of the same age and you just described my baby poo. It is normal. Your child is ok
As for the dandruff like stuff, it is probably cradle cap. Just moisten the place with the coconut oil, leave it for sometime, then use comb to remove the dandruff.

You are welcome. I had my doubts too during my first pregnancy,but gave birth through VD, even had tear and was stitched successfully without affecting the hemorrhoids. My second child was VD too but no tear. The doctors in the two cases of delivery didn't even raise an eyebrow when I was in the labor room, to tell you it is normal thing they see. Nothing to worry about.

I understand perfectly what you are going through because I have been there. I don't think it is life threatening, but you need to manage it well. Why not cut down on those fizzy drinks,take more of fruits, vegetables and water instead. You can sit on warm water after defecation to sooth the pain. I have been managing hemorrhoids even before I met my hubby. Mine will usually come out so big after using the loo n painful that I had to meet a consultant in UCH. He advised me to manage it cos hemorrhoidectomy is very painful. And here I am, with 2 handsome boys, both delivered successfully through VD. You will be fine.

What I did that worked for my 3week old son was that I started bathing him once a day and that was even at noon to avoid the cold harmattan in the morning.I also covered him well and gave him vit c. The cold disappeared within 2-3days

My EDD was 12th Dec, but I was thinking I will give birth 2weeks before EDD like my first child. That was why I was a bit nervous when I had to travel for my brother's wedding on 1st Dec. I traveled with my hospital things but hoping not to deliver yet till I get back to Lagos.
Luckily for me, baby decided to still chill even with my going up and down with my big belle to satisfy guests and also dancing because it was a proper owambe party.
I came back to Lagos on Monday Dec 3rd and went for antenatal on Tuesday which was on the 4th. The doc examined me, and broke my heart when he told me my baby's head is still high up and if there is still no sign of labor that i should come on the 20th for induction. He however advised me to do exercises and kpekus to aid natural labor.
For my mind, I was surprised d baby was still high up with all my wahala at d party. I resolved to be serious with t exercises and kpekus because d stories I hear about induction are not palatable. I started going for long walks, carrying my son a lot, carrying bucket of water just to put pressure down below and also kpekusing.
On Saturday 8th Dec, everything was normal until I suddenly started having contractions at about past 12 in the afternoon. I thought it was false labor until I started timing it. Told my hubby and we concluded to wait till evening before going to the hospital. Soon, the contractions were becoming intense and intervals were getting shorter.
At about 3 pm, I could not hold it anymore. We started going to the hospital which is 30mins away. I was just holding myself on our way because I already felt like pooing. Eventually got to the hospital, and I was taken to labor ward immediately. The matron on duty checked me,broke my water and told me to push at d next contraction. I tried pushing severally but d matron was just laughing at me that I was just playing not pushing. She eventually helped me by injecting me on my thigh with oxytocin. Within a minute, I just felt the power to push my adorable prince out into the world with no tear at 5mins to 4pm. At first, I didn't believe I had given birth.
I give God the glory for the swift delivery with no complications. We were discharged the next day.

To the Glory of God, I welcomed my handsome boy yesterday 8th Dec without tear. Edd.. 12th Dec. Weight 3.2kg.. It was indeed a supernatural birth.

So today I did scan to confirm pregnancy and the result was a partial hydatidiform mole. I am just devastated right now. I don't want to post this on TTC so as not to dampen their spirit. Have anyone experienced this before? And how was it handled. Tomorrow labour goes on strike so I have to find a good gyne in a private hospital in PH to handle this. Don't even know where to go. And I am so rich right now. God!!!!

Potty training should start when a child is able to communicate. Anything outside that is trial by error!

My son and urs are age mates (he will be 2 in January too) and I dont sweat it with potty training. Sometimes he will poo or wee in the potty, sometimes he will do it on the couch, my bed or the floor. I dont blame him. He cant talk. What I do is I keep putting him on the potty...if I have time on my hands. if I am busy, then I simply wear him diaper and have my peace of mind

Thks for the response. It was actually just a very light spank. Trust me , they might not kno how to communicate yet but very intelligent. My son usually comes down from the bed n couch to pee on the floor, but he just intentionally peed on the bed n couch dat day just to be naughty. It was just a correction measure and he has stopped doing that after dat day.
As for potty training, you are right, i just have to be patient and not relent.

Happy sunday mamas. Pls help me out. My son will b 2 yrs in January, but we are still battling with potty training. I normally dont wear diaper for him on weekends n try to use that time to make him use the potty. But my baby will just sit on it n start playing and urinate on d floor immediately he gets up from the potty. I had to spank him yestday cos he naughtily pee on d couch n bed.The potty is very fanciful. Just how do i relate peeing and potty to him.
