The Edo state police command have arrested a 49-year-old man simply identified as Mr Raphael, for repeatedly raping his 15-year-old stepdaughter with the approval of his lover who is the victim's mother.

Activist Harrison Gwamnishu who shared the story online, said the victim stated that she was molested by her stepfather and physically assaulted by him and her mum whenever she refused to have sex, Igbere TV reports.

According to the victim, her mum and her stepfather agreed for the man to continually have sex with her in the bid to widen her vagina in preparation to send her abroad for prostitution (human trafficking) and child pornography.

When interrogated, the victim said her stepfather has had sex with her over three times now and has perfected plans with her mum to take her down to Lagos for the both of them to feature in a pornographic film after which she will be flown to Italy to engage in prostitution.

Harrison says the suspect Mr. Raphael was apprehended yesterday and is currently being detained and will be transferred to SCID Benin for further investigation and prosecution.

South African High Commissioner to Nigeria, Bobby Moroe, has said not less than seventy suspects have been arrested over the xenophobic attacks on Nigerians living in South Africa.

He disclosed this on Tuesday during a Joint briefing by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama in Abuja.

Moroe also said the South African government is doing everything possible to bring the perpetrators into justice, and will protest the interest of all foreign nationals legitimately living in the country.

He further stated that the South African High Commission will be meeting with the students leaders over the issue to prevent reprisals in Nigeria.

Reacting to the High Commissioner’s comments, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, promised that Nigerian government will push for accountability and compensation for Nigerians that suffered losses.

A Nigerian man, James Agbaeze, has been charged for assaulting an Immigration Customs Enforcement officer carrying out his deportation order at George Bush Intercontinental Airport.

The 53-year-old became combative on July 11, 2019, amid a verbal dispute over their use of handcuffs for an Atlanta-bound Delta flight.

According to Houston Chronicle, Agbaeze punched an officer in the face, knocked him in the ribs and tore off part of his fingernail.

The suspect went to the U.S. as a lawful resident in 2005, but lost his status following a 2013 conviction for aggravated theft.

He later appealed his 2017 deportation order, but on June 18, 2019, the 5th U.S. Circuit denied his final appeal.
