Build bigger hospitals- No Build bigger factories- No Build iconic schools- No Renovate your tourist centres- No Let’s build a worship centre the shape of a dolphin to accommodate more poor people in the same place - Yes Oblitz: Nestled in the heart of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, stands a testament to faith and architectural ingenuity - the International Christian Worship Center. More than just a place of worship, this colossal structure has become a symbol of unity, hope, and cultural significance for the region.
A Beacon of Interdenominational Harmony
Conceived as a space for Christians of all denominations to come together in fellowship, the Worship Center transcends individual churches and fosters a spirit of unity under one roof. This inclusivity is reflected in the design itself, devoid of specific denominational markings, allowing each visitor to find their own spiritual connection within its walls.
Architectural Marvel:
Stepping into the Worship Center is akin to entering a modern-day cathedral. Its awe-inspiring design, resembling a majestic aircraft taking flight, soars skyward, symbolizing the ascent of prayers and aspirations. The central cross, enveloped in the flowing curves of the building, serves as a constant reminder of the faith that unites the diverse Christian community within.
Beyond Worship:
The Worship Center is not just about Sundays. It pulsates with life throughout the week, offering a multitude of facilities and activities. A sprawling museum showcases the rich Christian heritage of the region, while a well-equipped library provides a haven for knowledge seekers. For those seeking solace, dedicated prayer rooms offer quiet spaces for introspection and communion with the divine.
A Catalyst for Community:
The Center's impact extends beyond its physical walls. It serves as a hub for various social initiatives, offering medical assistance, educational programs, and vocational training to the local community. This commitment to social responsibility underscores the Worship Center's dedication to not only nurturing the spiritual well-being of its congregation but also uplifting the lives of those around it.
A Journey of Faith:
Visiting the International Christian Worship Center is an experience that transcends religion. It's a journey of faith, a testament to human ingenuity, and a celebration of the unifying power of shared beliefs. Whether you're a devout Christian seeking spiritual solace or an architecture enthusiast marveling at its grandeur, the Worship Center leaves a lasting impression, reminding us that even in our diverse world, unity and hope can soar on wings of faith.
The International Christian Worship Center in Uyo is more than just a building; it's a living testament to the power of faith, community, and architectural brilliance. As its spires reach towards the heavens, it serves as a beacon of hope and unity, not just for Christians in Nigeria but for people of all faiths around the world.
If you ever find yourself in Uyo, take some time to visit this architectural marvel and experience its unique blend of faith, community, and artistic expression. |

Career › Re: Going Back To School At Age 34 by DaRuud(m): 4:31pm On Dec 21, 2023 |
If you have the passion and financial capabilities, go for medicine , I have a friend who went back to school at 35 , 10 years down the line he obtained his master's degree and Doctorate degree , inicyril: Hello family! My future is posing so much threat to my mental well-being and calls for serious help. I've always been of the school of thought that decisions burdening on one's future should be the product of the person's deep thinking and not advice on social media platforms. Alas I was wrong!
THIS IS MY SITUATION I would be 34 by February next year. I am a graduate of Biochemistry and I have been working as a teacher in a state government owned secondary School for the past 3 years. Growing up, I've been passionate about studying medicine but couldn't due to financial constraints. When I got my present job in 2021, the passion started coming back gradually but I ignored it and opted for a side hustle in software engineering. Late last year I got enrolled into alx software engineering program. I'll be done by the 22nd of this month. I've learnt a lot and acquired a lot of skills as well. Despite this, the passion still keeps staring at me. The issue here is, at my age is: 1. Is it a great idea going back to school to study medicine? 2. Should I go for computer science so as to boost my chances in the field of software engineering? 3. Or should I settle for PGD in education, then masters, to encourage my career growth in my present job?
I NEED SERIOUS ADVICE PLEASE. |

I can't imagine that one use*less nonentity will be in far away Finland , where everything is working fine , electricity, water , governance, internet , school , market , healthcare , transportation, banking system , safe and conducive environment, CCTV Cameras , you can go fishing 🎣 at 2am and come back home any time you want . . . Is commanding millions of people who don't have basic amenities, no good road. , no steady source of income , bad governance, corruption, poor health care , insecurities, . . . To sit at home on Monday and using their fellow children to kill themselves if you come out on Monday , over the treasonable offense committed by NK , and the Finland based Idi*it is enjoying. Some people are just so dumb CASTOSVILLA: Sometimes I wonder if my people are really as wise and smart as we claim to be. How can you continuously crumble the economy of your home to protest for the release of your son MNK. We've done this for the longest of time and it's not yielding any result because other regions of the country are not feeling it and do not care! Many of our brothers and sisters cannot relate with this useless protest because they prefer Nigeria and not Biafra.
In my opinion:: the best way to go about this is to hold our leaders accountable using force if necessary in our respective states. Chanel all our resources to the East, develope it more and create for ourselves those amenities that the government at the center has failed to deliver on. Rid ourselves of the bad eggs and improve the security of our region.
Simon Ekpa and his boys must be eradicated for peace to reign in Igbo land and with this mindset, other regions will take us seriously and also see the positive nature of our struggle.
Let's stop this NZOGBU NZOGBU attitude that we have, it's not helping us at home and beyond.
I come in peace ✌️ |
