It’s such a shame that approval of the payment of utilities bills is part of the job of the president of Nigeria. The president should firing whosoever is responsible for paying utility bills which has a budget allocation and not reapproving what has been approved. |
Just spotted this Obidient foot fan at the international friendly clash between Germany and France in Dortmund today! 🇩🇪⚽ France put up a strong fight, but Germany emerged victorious with a 2-1 win! 🙌

Tony is a Lobbyist visit Buhari because his pay masters ( Whether governments or private entities) ask him to do so. May Tinubu stand defend the interest of Nigeria just like Tony is doing for his people. This not an achievement, it is more of an achievement if Tinubu visits secondary schools or aggrieved communities than meeting all this guys. All the best to you incoming president - May days usher a new era of prosperity for Nigeria. We can only develop our internally and through international partnership - nobody can help us. |
This is a very valid reason to support Tinubu. The decision of who to support in an election is very personal. Can Tinubu buy house and pay the house rent of every majority of us? If yes, will get it? If yes, please will vote for him and Nigeria will be a great country. |
Some people who would claim to have fought for democracy in the trenches will not give an answer like this one. Those people did not fight for democracy but a civilian. Obi for president. |
I came across this podcast where some nigeria asked a virologist based in Germany tough questions about covid-19 vaccine. I think it will be an interesting listen for nairalander. https://pod/1536342070/episode/M2E5MjIyNDctZWZjMy?00NGMwLWIyMDQtN2ViMjU5NTlkYTc5 |
This is very welcoming. If Nigeria are made to pay more and more tax, they might become more politically active. We will elect leaders they trust can manage their tax money and not just out of tribal or religious loyalty. If the money embezzled by NDDC where to Nigeria Deltans tax money, they would have all been on the street calling for the arrest and prosecution of all NDDC staffs involved in the corruption scandal. |
Dear Nigerians, Kindly note that herbalists are not necessarily spiritualists. They are just people that heal sickness using herbs. |
It’s quite cheap. |
But Munich security conference was from 14th to 16th Feb. 2020. What will be doing in Germany till Tuesday 25th feb? |
FactBoyz:Jeff Bezos married his erstwhile wife when he was nothing but cheated and divorced her when he became the richest man in the world. ♂️ |
immaculatesense:No, the article did say he was the speaker. He was a member. “The serving governor was alleged to have received N1, 475, 144,199.15 of the withdrawn cash for the purpose of lobbying members of the House of Representatives to convert PICOMS into an agency. The name proposed was Maritime Security Agency. The governor was chairman of the House Committee on National Security, Intelligence and Public Safety at the time and he was said to have convinced Atawodi’s PICOMS to part with the cash. The sum received was such a top secret that a former Speaker was given a “ridiculous N1million” as his share.“ |
immaculatesense:He is right. Two people were made governor by the Supreme Court (Zamfara and Imo state governors) and only Zamfara state governor was a member of the representatives. From the report, the governor wasn’t serving as a governor before the Supreme Court validated his election. Otherwise his immunity wouldn’t have made it possible for them to invite him for questioning two days before the Supreme Court judgement. “He was to appear before our detectives two days to the Supreme Court judgment but he stayed away to await the verdict and avoid being detained” The report only said that the former speaker was only given one million naira. “While going through records, detectives were able to confirm how a paltry N1million was given to a former Speaker of the House of Representatives.” |

I don’t get it. The police man is doing the Nigerian way because he is operating in the outdated Nigerian security structure. If he doesn’t hold the Keke guy while waiting his boys, the dude will run away and he might not be able to get him again. He would only behaved maturely if there were systems for him to easily track the guy after the incident. If any enlightened mind ask for such systems, he will get the answer “no be Oyibo land we dey o”. As if logic and common sense is something exclusive to the Oyibos. It’s very expensive to behave Maturely in an immature society. |
madridsta007:Iran does not recognize dual citizenship under its law. |
Thanks for sharing bro. It was really informative. We need more of this on nairaland. |
Congratulations!!! See you in Freiburg soon. MissGlamorosa: |
One thing I can say is that protest is a civic responsibility of every German and a pivotal tool in the German democratic system. While the Nigerian embassy could invoke the above law to get the attackers of Ekweremadu arrested, the attackers could also invoke another German law in their Favour. A German court will ultimately decide on the matter. One thing you guys should note is that many Nigerians in Germany are asylum seekers that have (in some cases) already misrepresented Nigeria to German authorities just to be granted asylum; his attackers could be one of them. They could just claim that Ekweremadu as a top Nigerian politician was responsible for the ordeal that brought them to Germany. |
Unfortunately, I don’t know anything about Tübingen from a Nigerian perspective. However, I would assume it’s a great University town since it’s only about 30km away from Stuttgart. chimax1: |
I am sorry for the late reply. Mine was sent to me by the coordinator of my program via email and post after I accepted the provisional admission. If you haven’t heard from them yet, you can write your department for more info. Good luck bro, I looking forward to meeting you in Freiburg. Vinclass: |
I tend to agree with the OP. It doesn’t just ends here, most whites argue with facts while Africans argue with emotions. That’s what most of the guys condemning the OP are validating here. The first way to solve a problem is to recognize it as a problem. Do you ever wonder who runs most of the top Nigerians companies aside the CEO? Indians, Lebanese, Europens etc. Go to Dangote group and you will see this in plain black and white. Chris Rock said a similar thing few years ago in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mEa0ex1XP4c |
chimax1:No! I am in Freiburg. There are both in the same state. There is an association of Nigerian students in Germany called “Nigerian Scholars in Germany (NISIG) with local chapters. if you wanna contact someone in your city, you could reach out to the local chapter executives in your city. Their contact information can be found here: http://nisig.de/ |
Magma012:Yes. Just the 1500€ tuition fee. |
Ketu223:I would say Sparkasse Bank because they have the most branches and ATM outlets in Germany. These are important as banks usually charge 6.5 Euros when you use another ATMs. It’s also quite easy to open an account with them as a student. However, there is a ridiculous monthly charge of 3.70 Euros (if you are less than 27 years) and 7.40 Euros (if you are 27 and above). I have a friend that uses an online bank called N26 https://n26.com/en-de. They operate zero charges customers accounts. It’s just that they don’t have any outlet. You can only make deposits at supermarkets or through bank transfers. Withdrawals from all ATM outlets in the EU are at no extra cost. |
Magma012:You will likely get an exemption if you selected the option for an exemption during your. Candidates from low income countries like Nigeria are usually granted such exemption. however, if you ain’t sure, you could contact the admission office for the possibility of getting such exemption. Most universities in Baden-Württemberg grant such exemption. All the best. |
Congratulation Boundlez! Go scale more heights. |
sistaj:I have been accepted into Process, Energy and Environmental System Engineering. What course did apply to study? Have uni-assist confirmed that they have forwarded your application electronically to TU Berlin? |
MabraO:It's takes up to four working days to get a confirmation email after they receive your documents by regular post. I can you assure that EMS has also delivered your document. Try this method to track it: I. visit http://www.track-trace.com/post ii. Enter your shipment number iii. Hit 'track with options'. (this would only track ur document while in Nigeria) iv. By the top right hand corner of ur screen, hit 'select country' and then select the destination country, in this case Germany. v. Finally, hit 'Click here to show results without frame'. Here you would get the status of ur document. |
Elder4sure:Hmmmm.... You know how we duplicate offices in Naija now. The office is like the office of the IG of police, EFCC , ICPC and the Code of conduct Bureau Chairmen, most recently the DSS head combined. |
debuchy:Winter. Any helpful tip, please. |
