This is about leadership and not about undermining any state or region. Theg do it because of open mindedness because other ethnic group suspect them. If you are in midst of people that don't understand Ur language the best u can do is to lower Ur voice or change to English to make dem feel among. This does not mean that they don't speak Igbo when they are alone. You need to travel to understand Nigeria bro, this country is not same as the media or internet portray.

Igbos is South west Speaks Yoruba and English

Igbos is the North speaks Hausa and English.
