F.maths was the only subj dat put a dent in my result ,honestly i didnt hv a teacher until late ss2 . i am really interested in computers and i initially opted for comp. Engr but sumone said i cant study any engineering course witout f.maths so i am considering computer science . Pls i need opinions i also wrote neco and i know i will make f.maths i am also open to other courses. Thanks . It depends on the school's admission requirement....for UNILAG, further maths is required for all engineering courses, mathematics, physics and even Computer Sciences.... Raymondboyvic: Please let know which is better one sitting with cs or 2 sitting with bs and as some schools don't accept 2 sittings eg UNILAG... so I'd rather say a sitting is better....but now that O'level and Jamb result are being used in getting the aggregate of a candidate... I'd advice the person to take the O'level exam again if he/she is going for a competitive course like MBBS, Law, etc except the person can get a very high score in jamb... about 300 and above |

Trudiee: Good afternoon people.. I'm a student in one of the Nigerian Universities in the south east.
Our results have been uploaded and I checked mine and did necessary calculations and got a GP of 3.8. I have no carry overs or D's. Lowest grades are C's.
Currently, I'm on the brink of tears considering how hard i worked and the sacrifice i put in. I feel like I could've done better.
I'm wondering if I can still get a first class with this kind of GP in my first year. Also, what can I do to make that happen?
All comments will be appreciated please, thanks. It's still very possible. For every semester always try to target a GP of 5.0 and not a 4.50 ,which means getting an A in all courses, so even if you don't get 5.0 you'll end up getting something close to it.... but make sure it's not below a 4.7.... |

The only difference between GCE and Senior waec as you'd call it is that one is written earlier(may/june) than the other[GCE]( Nov/Dec) |

Mhizgracie01: It's not a lie..it's on vanguard and dailypost. I think the increment will take effect from next session. just because it's on vanguard doesn't make it true....yes my school ( UNILAG) for example, the school fees was increased for this session from 53,500-63,500 for fresher's and 18000-22000 for those in the college of medicine, I don't know of that of other faculties but I'm sure they don't pay as much as what is paid at the college of medicine as school fees.....the person that wrote that report must have mixed everything up |

Donpre: Seriously what's with Nigerians and shortcuts?
You may have forgotten that his D.O.B in waec can't be changed and could conflict with his certificate in the future, especially if he decides to go abroad.
The kid seems smart. Waiting a year won't kill him If you say so, only gave my opinion on the matter....But an affidavit covers all you said above and he won't have issues in the future....its just like someone whose names were arranged in a different format on all his certificates, he uses an affidavit to correct that.... |
