Nezan: I have been a silent follower of Spyder on all his threads and I must confess he is good. I just finished building my 4 bedroom bungalow all rooms ensuite with main and children's sitting, POP, step alluminium all courtesy of the Spyder inspiration. Kudos my man! you are doing a wonderful job. Nice one bro.Seriously speaking,Oga Spider has been a great inspiration to many people me inclusive,i wouldnt have started my building project if not for him and am alone,my 4 bedroom is almost completed now.At times when i discuss with the guy supervising my project,he go just dey wonder how come i sabi about house construction like this . Infact, due to the immense knowledge i have garnered here,i had the idea of how much each stage of the project was going to cost before even asking the supervisor,i was able to haggle prices better and i was able to make better decisions. Thanks a great deal Mr Syder, may God continue to bless you and your family. |

Taha Waqar: I have read on internet that if some embassy rejects your visa then you cant get schengen visa again from any other country unless covered by a new visa from that same consulate(is it true??). No,it's not true. Each time you apply for a Shengen visa, your application will be assessed based on your present condition and your supporting documents.Prior refusal does not necessarily mean automatic subsequent refusals. |
Travel / Re: Food Items You Can Travel With From Nigeria To Europe, Most Especially Italy by Davedavy: 8:41am On Sep 14, 2012 |
boss-man: Meat, dairy and other animal products are not allowed into the EU from countries outside the EU.Moreover, meats are very cheap in Europe, you really dont need to bring it.I believe there should be no problem in bringing in beans and groundnuts though. My mum often bring me foodstuffs like egunsi powder, beans powder, gari, pundo yam, okro whenever she comes visiting. So i believe you will be fine bringing in those ones.It is better if you can get them in retail packages, that way the custom officers wont have problems identifying them. 1 Like |

Ikem44: Hello Ikem,i might not be able to chat on yahoo because i am very busy,i rarely chat.I believe what you need is NDLEA clearance certificate, the information i have about that might be outdated,i did it almost 6 years ago,so i might not be the best person to advice you.Anyway, this is what i believe you will need: 1) two guarantors 2) a sponsor who can provide you with his/her bank statement or if you have enough money in your account you can use yours you'll go to the nearest NDLEA office and get the form, fill it out and submit it back to them, they'll give you a date to come with your guarantors, you guarantors will be interviewed, your certificate will come out after that.It is really no big deal, just go to the nearest NDLEA and they'll tell you how to go about it. |

In that case,i think you should appeal. If everything you stated above is true, you have a very good chance of winning the appeal. You can write the appeal letter yourself, there is no specific way to write it,address it to the right authority (details should be given to you by the French embassy).Explain to them in the appeal letter how important the training you are going for is to you as well as your organization,as you have stated above, you have your client base in Europe and you need to meet them from time to time due to the nature of your line of business, and as a newcomer, let them know you have to understudy your senior colleague and that is the reason you want to travel with him.You can also let them know how long your company has been in business, how much you earn,if you are married,or have kids let them know that as well,if you have any landed property, real estate to your name, let them know that also, this will further support your claim that you have close ties to your country. All in all,it's not rocket science, just tell them the truth and support it with all the relevant documents you can lay your hands on,if your customers in Europe can write you a recommendation letter or invitation letter,it will also help. Wishing you all the best. |

sissi : 1) They need a proof that you have paid for the course you are going for, they also need proof that you have enough money to take care of your accommodation and living expenses in France. You ought to provide them proof of accommodation paid for in France for the duration of your course as well as your bank account showing that you have access to enough money for your living expenses. 2) They are interested in knowing that you will not abscond once issued the visa, hence you need to proof to them that you will return back to Nigeria, probably back to your well paid job or successful business. |

Manthan: Dear friends, Please help me. How is the training you are going for relevant to your present occupation/course of study ?.Why are you going for the training in France and not elsewhere?is this type of training not available in your country?Who is sponsoring the training, you? If you,why do you want to commit such enormous amount of money to the training? How recognized are the organizers? These are some of the questions you need to ask yourself before filing an appeal,if you are sure the answers to the questions i asked above are positive, then you can file your appeal. 2 Likes |

sissi : 1) You out to have included the proof of payment for the course you are going for,you should always back up your application with all the necessary paperwork. The onus is on you to do that. 2) What are you going to do in Spain?this might seem as desperation on your path,i will advice you to wait it out and reapply for the French visa,if all your docs are intact, you will be issued the visa. |

bukahands: Hey nairalanders, If you can afford Poznan,i will advice you to go to Poznan. There are lots of foreigners studying medicine in that University, you'll meet students from UK,America,Canada etc.Poznan is a lovely city. There are many Universities in Poznan,so there are lots of foreigners.Nice parks to go to,cheap pubs in the city center if you are into shayo. All in all, you'll enjoy Poznan. From my experience (i lived there for more than a year) people are generally friendly, have an open mind, make friends with the locals and network. There are few international churches in Poznan if you are a christian. You can ask more specific questions on valuemd forum : http://www.valuemd.com/poznan-university-medical-sciences/ or on PUMS facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/PUMS.UMP Wishing you all the best. |

abiatonye: Hello Nairalanders, First thing you should do is to start learning German now,as a student in Germany, you are permitted to work, though the amount of time you are allowed to work is limited, and getting any kind of part time job without the knowledge of the local language won't be easy. Before you decide to study in Germany, you must be certain that you can support yourself financially for at least one year. Please do not rely on finding a part-time job as soon as you arrive in Germany, which will provide you with enough money to cover the costs of living. This is not usually the case.Once you pick the language though, you should be able to get a part time job without much problem especially in the big cities. After ending your studies, you can extend your stay and spend up to one year looking for a job that is appropriate to your qualifications. Highly-qualified foreigners who have a job offer in Germany, can receive a (permanent) Settlement Permit (Niederlassungserlaubnis) without the need for any labour market checks or the approval of the Federal Employment Agency (Bundesagentur für Arbeit). |
