aduke4real: The moment you seek asylum in any EU country, your information is recorded in a database accessible to all the participants according to the Common European Asylum System (CEAS),that is why it is not possible to seek asylum in two countries within the EU.Once your case is denied by a member state, you are not eligible to travel to any other participant country to seek asylum. Now in your case, Ireland has flagged you as an absconder, they have issued a removal notice and updated your information in their system as an absconder and failed asylum seeker. Reason why you are faced with this problem. My advice, request for any information the Irish Immigration is holding on you, do this under section 3 of the Data Protection Act. “ Individuals may make a request from Data Ireland as follows: Right to establish existence of personal data (section 3 Data Protection Acts). Under section 3 of the Data Protection Acts an individual may write to us asking whether we keep any personal data on him or her. Where we hold such personal data on you, we shall respond within 21 days of receipt of the request, giving you a description of the data we hold on you and the purposes for which it is kept. You do not have to pay a fee for making a request of this type under section 3 of the Data Protection Acts. Please make your request in writing to us at: Data Protection Co-ordinator, Data Ireland, 3rd Floor, Chapel House, 21-26 Parnell St., Dublin 1 stating that you are making your request under section 3 of the Data Protection Acts. Please note that before we respond to your request we may require that you provide us with satisfactory evidence of your identity and address. We do not accept section 3 requests via telephone, email or text message.” Once you know what they have on file about you, you can then proceed to seek legal advice as to what to do if you think it isn’t correct. 1 Like |

Mickom: Tell your friend not to waste his money. Most of these travel agents are dubious, moreover,it's not easy getting a job anywhere in Europe now due to the recession.I believe the dude in question is just trying to scam your friend. For any Polish company to employ a foreigner and file for work permit on this regard, the company must provide evidence that, there are no Polish nationals/EU nationals willing to occupy such work position and recruitment to such position among Polish nationals/EU nationals is impossible. So as you can see,it isnt that easy. Moreover, jobs are very scarce in Poland at the moment. |

jerryben12: Determine the maximum amount of watt the inverter will power at a time ‘peak load’,in you case, lets assume you will run all those appliances at the same time. To determine the peak load, you have to sum up the maximum rating of all the appliances, you can easily find the information on them. Lets assume that: 32'' Plasma TV: is rated 120W (my LG 32’ TV is actually rated 120W) standing fans : lets say 70W (70 x 3) =210W Bulbs = 40w (40 x 4) = 160W Peak Load = 490W according to the state of Vermont's "Better Building Series. inverters should be sized to 25 percent more than your expected peak load, hence you need 125/100 x 490 = 612.5W round the figure up and go for something slightly higher say 700W. Inverters alone cannot power your appliances, Inverters only convert direct current (DC) electrical power into alternating current (AC) electrical power. DC comes from batteries, just like the one that is used to start a car. AC power is the same type of electricity that comes from the home's common wall outlet. Hence you need a battery bank where the inverter will draw DC current from. |

All the best. |

Travel / Re: Can I Fly To Any Schengen Country Without Stopping At The Country Of Issuance? by Davedavy: 4:21pm On May 19, 2011 |
cyphanet: The Schengen visa once issued is good to visit all the participating countries, you are supposed to get the visa from the country in which you'll be spending the majority of your time or the point of your first entry into the Schengen zone, so applying in a country you will not spend any time in could end up as a very bad idea. It will definitely be a bad idea not to visit Portugal at all, whether you stay there or whether you just land and fly mmediately to another Shengen country or to the country where you will spend most of your time in the Schengen area during your trip does not matter, but if you mention Portugal on your form as your first point of entry into the shengen zone, having an entry stamp of Portugal to play safe is definitely a good idea. They can also ask you for an initiery, hotel bookings etc at the point of entry, note that having a valid shengen visa is no gurantee that you will be allowed into the shengen zone,if they find you suspicious they will question you,my advice is, play safe and fly to Portugal first.

Properties / Re: Average Number Of Blocks For A 4 Bedroom Bungalow by Davedavy: 2:48pm On May 18, 2011 |
Dereformer: Yes a plot of land will contain 4 bedroom bungalow perfectly.Standard plot of land should be 60 ft x 120 ft (18.288 m X 36.576 m).You will need about 4,000 blocks. You can calculate the approximate number of blocks you will need to complete your project from the plan your architect gave you. Formular B = P/460 X R Where B = quantity of blocks P= perimeter of walls in mm R = number of rows which is usually 12 rows(Taking for a general or average purpose, the blocks from foundation to dpc(german or oversite concrete) is 4 coaches/levels. From dpc to the base of window another 4 coaches, from window to linte level 5 coaches, after lintel to roofing 2 coaches) The lenght of a block is 0.45m or 450mm or 18″ The width of thickness varies -150mm or 6″ and 225mm or 9″ which are most common. 12 Likes 6 Shares |

@ spyder,am alone Wonderful job you guys are doing?i have learnt a lot frm this thread and still learning i am trying to calculate the amount of cement I will need to set 4000 blocks, from your experience how many bags /50kg of cement do you think I will need? I am thinking 40 bags should be enough, but I need your advice. I am getting myself prepared for my project when I travel to Naija later this year. Thanks. |

justhustle: My business is headquartered in Poland, but i have branches in other countries within Europe,so i be ajala the traveler . justhustle: It is not easy anywhere in the world,Europe just came out of recession with some countries still deep in recession, but your goals should be of paramount importance here and not what people say.Finland is okay, you pay no tuition fees, quality of Education is very good, you are legally allowed to work part time during school term and full time on holidays(if you are lucky to get a job).so what do you have to lose? except you have a well paid job in Nigeria. |
Travel / Re: Nigerians At Ukraine by Davedavy: 11:03am On Apr 01, 2011 |
lanlo: i've traveled extensively through out Europe including all the ex soviet bloks.Ukraine and Russia are almost the same except that Russia is richer than Ukraine, wages in Ukraine is still very poor and finding any kind of part time employment is very hard. The locals (especially d guys) do not like foreigners at all, they will readily get into fight with you, especially when they see you with their girls, going out alone is very risky as you can be easily attacked.Lots of their youths are jobless so what they do all day is drink cheap vodka or piwa and look for troubles. You are not protected by the police,a policeman called me a nigga,i was called monkey on countless occasions.I can still remember one occasion where a police man ordered me and my friends out of a club for no reason, dude just came in,saw us with some cute chicks, and called us,he demanded for our identification (passport, registration) we showed him and he said 'idi damoi' meaning go home in Russian,i asked him'pashimu? meaning why? my friend just asked me to stop arguing with him and we took the next cab home. Ukraine is full of corruption and administrative road blocks,Police will want you to bribe them because you are black, every time they see you asking for your documents,if you provide the correct documents, they will start asking you silly questions just to get on your nerve. The country is very unfriendly to foreigners of different skin color. And yes, there are some good people in Ukraine/Russia,i met great guys,my Ukrainian friends were always helpful, but lot of young people in Ukraine have nothing better to do than to fight for fun,and foreigners are their targets. I can't tell you not to go there,it is your choice actually,it depends on what you are going to do and your expectations. If you just want to study, you have the means and after your studies go back to Nigeria, then no problem. But if you are looking for somewhere you can possibly get a permanent residency/Passport and call a second home someday,Ukraine is not that place .I advised some guys sometimes ago about Ukraine, well, they decided to go because their agents in Nigeria told them otherwise, the agent told them it is easy to get a visa to UK/USA and shengen from Ukraine, after some months in Ukraine, these guys had to borrow money to return to Nigeria.Ukrainian citizens require visa to travel to almost all the countries in the world,if you eventually become an Ukrainian citizens, you will still need visas to travel to almost everywhere in the world. You are better off going to smaller EU/shengen countries.By the time you add all the money you will spend to get to Ukraine, and all the money you will spend in Ukraine for the duration of your course, you will find out that it is economical to have chosen a wiser and better option. 74 Likes 7 Shares |

Travel / Re: Are There Opportunity For Nigerian Migrant Wishing To Enter The Island Of Malta? by Davedavy: 1:17pm On Mar 31, 2011 |
naijaspeak: Malta is a beautiful country but a very small island with a population of about 410,567.Malta is not a good choice for immigration purposes because The Maltese labour market is strictly controlled, even all EU citizens wishing to work in Malta are required to apply for a work permit before they can seek employment. This exception to EU law was agreed on in order to save the labor market,Malta cannot cope with massive influx of immigrants the way other bigger EU countries can cope hence they have a way of discouraging immigrants. For instance, international tuition fees are very expensive;medicine cost about 24,000 Euro/academic year at University of Malta for international students. Also getting a permanent Resident permit and citizenship is not that easy. |

snowdrops: Racism is very rampant in Ukraine, enough said! lanlo: Money from their relatives in Naija or from personal savings. If your plan is to offset living cost by doing part time job, sorry to disappoint you,it is impossible, there is nothing in that country.Go there only if you have enough money to take you through your program (tuition fees plus cost of living) 1 Like |
