How long have you been living in Netherlands? if you have been living in Netherlands for 3 years,i believe you should be eligible to naturalize by now,why not take that route;naturalize first and them move to the UK.
I am guessing you have been living in Netherlands for at least 3 years because you mentioned you have 3 kids,if however you haven't been living in Netherlands for at least 3 years as a tax payer, you will probably be paying international fees in UK.

Dis Guy:

I thought one would need to have been resident in the country for 3 years thats my understanding

I am not too sure of the UK system but in all other EU countries, the criteria for eligibility for home/EU fees is to be ordinarily resident in the EEA or Switzerland(any country in the EEA) for the three year period before the first day of the first academic year of the programme. So if he has been living in Netherlands for the past 3 years he should qualify.

Justwise advice is spot on,that is the easiest way you can migrate to the UK. Since you are a family member of an EU citizen, apply for a visa under Directive 2004/38/EC.The visa will be issued free of charge. You have to travel together with your wife or be traveling to join your wife in the UK.With this visa, you can stay in the UK and look for work or start your studies, you'll pay home fees and not international fees.

According to the law,you don't even need to apply for a visa as long as you have a residence permit issued to you on the basis of marriage to an EU citizen, but am not sure if UK implements this law or not,so you are better off applying for the visa, after all it's free.

Business / If You Found $13,000 Cash On Your Trash Can,what Would You Do With It? by Davedavy: 11:35am On Jun 28, 2012
When Kenneth Allen picked up the paper bag sitting atop a trash can outside a Tennessee convenience store, he found two things: A bottle of cologne and nearly $13,000 in cash.

"It never crossed my mind to take it, because that's not the right thing to do," Allen told local affiliate Fox4KC about the $12,764.73 in cash.

Allen was at the Peachers Mill Road convenience store on Saturday afternoon with his wife, Kristy, when they spotted the bag. The Leaf Chronicle adds that the couple, who had stopped by to pick up a cream soda, quickly turned the money over to the Clarksville Police Department, which has since returned it to its rightful owner.

"I knew I had to return it," Allen said. "Someone might have needed that for something really important."

Surveillance video from the convenience store shows the man stopping outside the store to unwrap an ice cream sandwich before leaving the bag of money behind on top of the trash can.

The owner of the money is a 51-year-old man who reportedly left the money behind after recently being released from the hospital after experiencing an adverse reaction to prescription medication. Though the police have not released the man's name, they say he has since contacted Allen to thank him.

"When he called, I asked, 'Dude, why did you have so much money?" Allen told ABC News. "He didn't really explain that, but he did say he was very grateful to have it back, and was glad we were the ones who found it."

Allen, who recently retired from the military and plans to start teaching math at a nearby high school next fall, says he's glad things worked out the way they did.

"If anyone else had found this money, they'd have thrown one heck of a party," he said. "We were meant to find it."

If you were the one that had found this money, what would you do?13,000 USD in your trash can, would you return it back to the owner?

Come One Come All but the most important thing is will i be able to go back to Germany with her without a problem

Your marriage wont automatically translate into a visa for you, therefore the possibility of going with her immediately after the wedding is slim. You will need to apply for the (family reunion/ spouse) Schengen Category D visa after the wedding,if you can prove to the visa officer that your marriage to her is genuine, the visa will be issued.

Do also note that foreign spouses wishing to reside permanently in the Federal Republic of Germany must prove basic skills in the German language. This requirements must be met at the time of application for the spouse visa.Your girlfriend should know more about these things.

All the best.

noso_2004: You still dont get it, It is not a requirement that family member should not be in possession of a valid entry visa or equivalent, I am saying in case they happen not to have one then they would be allowed in, I have read different testimonies of more than 20 different people who have done this, even to the Almighty UK, and Ireland inclusive.

No European country would advice you not to have a visa to enter there country of course they will discourage it but, that doesn't when the spouse found themselves at the border the law will not be implemented. if (they) the border guards fail to implement it the court will decide what is lawful or not.

Okay Noso.i understand what you are trying to say.You are correct from the legal point of view smiley.

This is another reply from French embassy to another person, copied from immigrationboards forum.

"From: TLScontact Date: 2012-05-30 16:16:33
Dear Applicant,

If your British residency card states "Family Member of an EEA national", this family member is not a French or UK citizen, you have official documentation to prove this relationship and you are either travelling together with this person or going to meet them in France, you do not require a visa to travel. However, if you fail to meet any of these criteria, you do require a visa to travel. Please note the the exact words "Family Member of an EEA national" must be written on your residency card and that the quality of simply "being" a family member of an EEA national does not remove the passport holder's requirement to obtain a visa for travel.

Kind regards,

TLScontact Team "

noso_2004:

The same goes to you, I cited a case law if you have wanted to provide genuine and valid information to the OP, and not an hearsay you would have at least read that case law and take it from there. The information you gave is incorrect.

Although it is always advisable to have the necessary visa to your final destination despite being a family member, but if for any reason you cannot apply for the necessary visa, you must be allowed in so long the spouse do not pose a serious threat to the security of the state, and also serious health issues

I am aware of this directive,Unfortunately this directive is not known to many embassies, airline staff and even immigration officials and also every country has their own implementation of 2004/38/EC,so a lot of countries do not implement it or implement it in a different way. it is almost impossible to apply the directive.I must say you are very lucky if indeed you traveled from Nigeria to Europe without visa using this directive.
On the other hand,Directive 2004/38/EC<<, Articles 5 and 10 is well known and well implemented.

Article 5
Right of entry
1. (...)
2. ... For the purposes of this Directive, possession of
the valid residence card referred to in Article 10 shall exempt
such family members from the visa requirement.
Quote:
Article 10
Issue of residence cards
1. The right of residence of family members of a Union
citizen who are not nationals of a Member State shall be
evidenced by the issuing of a document called 'Residence card
of a family member of a Union citizen' (...)

So i will advice the OP to mail the Irish embassy, quote the relevant directives and inquire if he is allowed to travel with his spouse visa free to Ireland.

bolame: Hmmm juzme.. Can you explain more better what is the residency card, tho i could hv make research online about that but am too busy now

Juzme is right.Unfortunately you will need an Irish visa to travel to Ireland even if you are traveling with your spouse. The only exception is if you have a valid residency card of an EU member state based on your marriage to an EU citizen from any EU member country except from the country of your spouse and the residence card should clearly state that you are a family member of an EU national.

So in your case, your husband is UK national, you can travel visa free to Ireland only if you have a valid residence permit issued by any of the Eu member country except UK.

Resurrection of former council boss: Faked or real?

Written by Bolaji Ogundele
Sunday, February 5, 2012

The death and the alleged resurrection of an Ahoada politician, one time caretaker chairman of the Ahoada-East council and two-time secretary of same council, Sunny Edema, has continued to create unanswered questions even beyond his immediate council area or his state, Rivers. It is being discussed on some social media. In this piece, BOLAJI OGUNDELE attempts to solve some of the mysteries surrounding the story.

Hon. Sunny Edema taking oath of office as caretaker chairman of Ahoada East Council Area in May 2011

Note: Names of sources have been deliberately withheld to protect their identities and to ensure their safety.

LAST weekend brought sleepy Ahoada town alive for a moment and into the news too. It was in Ahoada that the news of something people claimed was in the likeness of 'the miracle of this age' occurred in a flash and disappeared like it never happened. The story of the alleged resurrection of a man, described so far in various adjectives, including miracle, fraud, gimmick and misrepresentation travelled farther than Ahoada. While the 'multitude' of the town-folk who thronged Igbuduya Street with an expectation of seeing a man returning from the dead, believing every word coming from the 'inner chambers of the house', where 'a man of God' was praying for the return of Sunny, few 'sceptics', who won't give the 'charade' credibility by their presence among the crowd, waved the whole drama as the gimmick of a man who seeks to be worshipped by those who will believe anything.

So-called eyewitness accounts had claimed that former caretaker chairman of Ahoada East local government area, who was until his death the secretary of the council, Sunny Edema, died at about 11pm on Thursday January 26 this year, remained dead for about 24 hours, certified clinically dead, but was miraculously resurrected by a man of God, stayed alive for few more hours and died again. A lot of confusing details were alleged around this incredulous story, including branding the name of a popular church, which had since come out to deny knowledge of any such event.

"I learnt that before he died he was complaining of pains in his heart and was restless. He died on Thursday night at about 11pm and two doctors checked his body and confirmed that he was dead already. But his brother who is living in Lagos, attending T.B. Joshua's church sent a message home that they should not bury the man. I learned he said his brother was not dead and that T.B Joshua would come to wake him up.

"If you had been in Ahoada last night you might not have been able to move around, especially around the man's street because it was like the whole town came to see what was about to happen. To cut a long story short, they resurrected him at about 11pm last night. But there are other rumours that he was actually resurrected by members of his secret cult society and that it was not any church of God's power that woke him", an eyewitness who called her name Mary said.

When the subsequent news of his death broke, Mary once again provided information, saying "It looks like the man is dead now because I learned that they have taken his body to a mortuary and that it has started swelling. According to what I heard, they said he died again around 3am the day after he was resurrected. People are spreading a lot of rumour about his death and resurrection that first time; while some doubt the claim that he was resurrected because they claimed they did not see him, others said he was a member of a secret society and that it was his members who came to bring him back from the dead and not T.B. Joshua".

It, however, later became clear that the story of the death and the attempt resurrecting or actual resurrection of the late politician had nothing to do with the Synagogue nor its founder, Prophet Joshua. According to reliable reports gotten from reliable sources around Edema, the links they know the late politician had with the Synagogue was a testimony he once gave at the Synagogue to the effect that the man of God prayed for him and gave him water and that after his encounter with the church and the founder he climbed further in his political career by being made a caretaker council chairman.

The fact that the church indeed neither played a role, nor had knowledge of the death and resurrection episode was further affirmed by the spokesman of the church, Reverend Ojo, who told the Sunday Tribune that there was no time when the church got involved or informed of whatever was happening in Ahoada, saying "there's no way anything will be happening in the name of the church that the man of God would not be informed, but in this case everything that linked us to the story is false. You should have even asked for the names of the 'wise-men' they claimed the Prophet sent over. The story of our involvement is false and should be disregarded".

The story got more interesting when the elder brother of Sunny allegedly went to Pentecostal church on Thursday for an evening service and testified to the congregation how his younger brother resurrected from the dead and wilfully returned to the dead after a brief complaint. A member of the church, who informed the Sunday Tribune of the latest development said the elder brother, who took a long time of the service to relay how his brother was actually resurrected and later asked for permission to go back to death said the church was held spellbound.

"The elder brother of the man came for our evening service and told the church that his brother was resurrected indeed, but that he said he did not want to stay back in this world that the troubles around were too much and how many people did not want his peace. He said it was after this brief conversation that his brother died again", the source confided.

The whole story, however, got clearer and it turned out that some people just deliberately decided to misinform the people who had gone there to see the 'miracle' happen. Though accessing the family of the deceased was advised against as they were still in grief when Sunday Tribune visited Ahoada, a close associate of the deceased, who pleaded anonymity explained that the story is very different from what the people had been sold. According to him, Sunny died since Thursday and never woke up at any point in time.

According to him, while it was true that the family refused to take him to the morgue after realising he was dead on Thursday because his elder brother who is resident in Lagos instructed them to keep the corpse as he would be coming with a spiritualist to revive the deceased from the dead, the source said the story had nothing to do with the Synagogue as peddled among the crowd that kept vigil on the street. He specifically explained that it was all a conjecture, helped by deliberate misrepresentation of facts.

"I know Sunny very well and I was surprised too when all these stories started flying all around and my first impression was that someone must have been misinformed. First of all, we have to state the truth about the health status of the man we are talking about. He was a hypertensive person and in the past he had suffered seizures that took him into coma, but from which he eventually recovered. I am talking of an experience that happened about three times before this last one and which started say about 2 years ago. So one can understand why some people, like his elder brother I gathered instructed them to keep him in the house after the doctor had told them that he was dead.

"I learned that before he died he started complaining about his heart which made the boys around him to take him to the hospital, along the way, I guess when they were coming back he vomited twice on the road. When they got back home, following a complaint one of the boys made him a salt water solution, which aggravated his case and eventually threw him into coma or even ceased his life. I learned after he was given the salt water solution, he started foaming in the mouth and in the nose. Remember he had a high blood pressure issue and salt is never good for this case.

Ask yourself this question;what do i have to lose if i decide not to come back to Nigeria? This is exactly what you need to prove to the visa officer. You can prove your ties to your country of origin by presenting supporting documents that can establish either your strong economic ties or strong social ties to your country.

Documents you can use to prove your economic ties include bank statement, employment letter, landed property etc while documents you can use to prove your social ties include; marriage certificate, certificate of birth of your children, letter from your university (if you are in a university in Nigeria),etc.

Yes they will require personal documents from you, they need to know that you will be returning to Nigeria after your visit, you have to submit documents that you have strong ties to Nigeria. If you are unable to satisfy the visa officer that you will be returning to Nigeria, you will be refused.

Your brother is only guaranteeing your board, lodging, financial support etc,the onus is entirely on you to prove you will be returning to Nigeria.

send me ur email addres as wel...

Hi S nazir, welcome to nairaland. You should only appeal if you believe that you merit the visa and should have been issued the visa.

1) What document(s) did you include to justify that you posses sufficient means of subsistence for the duration of the intended trip?
2) Concerning the hotel reservation, did you include anything pertaining to where you will stay during the trip?

The fact that you have multiple visas doesn't mean anything because the visa officer will still access your application based on the documents you submitted. You wont get a visa if you cant prove to the visa officer that you have enough fund for the trip and that you have a place to stay during your visit.
