@ Ehaaabb You shouldn't have any problem with the German embassy, but i hope you have evidence that you actually attended the training you went for, they might ask for that.I have seen people denied subsequent shengen visas because they didn't visit the previous issuing countries. 1 Like |

@poster You have been given all the advice you need on this thread but let me make it simpler for you to understand.Visa officers deny non immigrant visas because of these reasons: 1) Strong ties to the country you are applying from (your country of residence)i.e possession of a resident abroad which you have no intention of abandoning 2) Your ability to take care of yourself during your trip i.e non recourse to public funds. Now lets take it one by one. 1) Strong ties to the country you are applying from How do you intend to satisfy the visa officer that you will return to Nigeria?"Ties" are the various aspects of your life that bind you to your country of residence: it can be your possessions, employment, social and family relationships. Let's take this one by one again possessions : Do you have any in Nigeria?. employment : You stated you are not really employed in Nigeria since you do not live in Nigeria.right? social and family relationships : You are married to a Canadian. Now do you think you have strong ties to Nigeria? 2)Your ability to take care of yourself during your trip i.e non recourse to public funds If your parents in law are going to sponsor your trip (accommodation, feeding etc). Then you are okay based on this aspect. To sum it all up;Do not apply in Nigeria if you can not prove strong ties to Nigeria, and the fact that your parents in law will be sponsoring your trip further weakens your ties to Nigeria. |

chyIK: You don't need a lawyer. There is no standard form for a schengen visa appeal,it can take a form of a simple letter in which you simply explain why you think your visa application has been wrongfully denied. Do note however, that it is necessary to explain in the appeal letter circumstances that support the case, circumstances that you know the rejecting embassy failed to consider as well as circumstances that had not been known to the rejecting embassy at the time of their rejection, if there is any. The Schengen visa appeal letter must be signed by the applicant whose application has been rejected. All the best. |

avenza: You do not need any agent to help you secure a tourist visa.you can do it yourself.A visa request is examined on the basis of the application form, the supporting documentation and information provided by the applicant, there is really nothing agents will do that you can't do yourself. 1) that i dont have sufficient fund that will take me during my stay of 2 weeks( but i had 2,150,000 + as my balance The statement of account you presented, did it have a regular inflow and outflow of cash or just a lump sum deposit? 2) that they are not convinced that i will leave the territory after my visa expiration. What document(s) did you present to show you have strong ties to Nigeria? |
Travel / Re: Swedish Tourist Visa by Davedavy: 11:16pm On Jan 18, 2012 |
tinkinfela: Seriously speaking,i see no reason why your mum should be denied as long as she can demonstrate strong ties to Nigeria and she is financially capable of taking care of herself during her visit (if she is the one sponsoring herself).Concerning the issue of her passport, the name should correspond with the name she has been using all along,i mean the name on her passport should correspond with the name on her driving license, bank statements,id cards etc.she will need to present her marriage certificate to the embassy and probably your birth certificate (i believe her name is on your birth certificate). You mentioned she has been partially sponsoring you,it will be a good idea if she can also include confirmations of some of the money she sent you.The main thing the visa officer will be looking for is her financial capability to afford the trip(as i believe she is the one sponsoring herself),and of course her ties to Nigeria. She will need to gather and present documents to that effect i,e bank statement, employment letter, property owned, marriage certificate etc. I believe you have a comfortable accommodation where she will stay. |
Travel / Re: Swedish Tourist Visa by Davedavy: 11:58pm On Jan 17, 2012 |
tinkinfela: If Sweden is her main destination or if she will be spending the greater part of her visit in Sweden, she must apply at the Swedish embassy.Another way around it is if she can book hotel accommodation for few days in any other shengen member state, she might be able to use that as a place of first entry into the shengen zone. Take note of this: If you plan to visit only one country in the Schengen zone, you should apply to the embassy or consulate of that country. If you will be visiting several countries in the Schengen, you should apply to the embassy or consulate of the country you plan to spend most time in as this will be seen as your main destination. If you plan to visit several countries within the Schengen without having a main destination, then you should apply to the embassy or consulate of the country you will visit first. |

There are times when divorce forces people to do strange things. Burn sheets. Throw out clothes. Toss rings into the ocean. But when you get $100 million in your divorce, you can trump just about anything and that's what happened with Tiger Woods' ex-wife when she bought a $12 million home and bulldozed the whole thing. Yes, according to TMZ, Elin Nordegren bought a $12 million home in North Palm Beach, Fla., but didn't like it, and has plowed the whole thing. The house, which had six bedrooms and eight bathrooms, is now just rubble, with no word yet on what is going to replace the beautiful building you see above, but I guess when you have nine figures in the bank, it doesn't really matter what you want. I guess we can all applaud Elin on not rolling over after all this happened and continuing on with her life. But I think we can all agree on one thing: Why in the world is she still in Florida? Wouldn't you want to move back home for good? source: http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/golf-devil-ball-golf/tiger-woods-ex-wife-bulldozes-12-million-home-232405259.html |

@ kunaba123 You are only supposed to put your second Nationality (Nationality at birth) if it is different from your current Nationality. If you are not Ghanian by birth you should fill in whichever nationality you had at birth as appropriate,if however your Ghanian passport states Ghana as your place of birth, you don't need to fill it.

Travel / Re: Getting Married In Europe by Davedavy: 11:33am On Dec 04, 2011 |
@ Poster it is impossible, you cant marry anybody that is already legally married within the EU. llbhuds: marriage requirements in Spain for foreigners: Civil Marriages Applications and/or Documents Required: Bring along original copies of the following: Application Form: This form can be obtained from the Civil Registry or District Court. It should be signed by both bride and groom and include their full names, occupations, places of residence, and the citizenship of the couple and their parents. Birth Certificate: The original document is mandatory. If you were not born in Spain, you should submit the document with an "apostille," an official international seal verifying a document for use outside its country of origin. (If you live outside of Spain, you should also have a Spanish translation of the certificate made and authenticated by the Spanish Consulate or Embassy nearest your place of residence. If you are in Spain, the certificate must be translated into Spanish by an official translator.) Proof Both Parties Are Free to Marry: (Fe de Solteria y Vida) Civil Registries have a document for this purpose that can be signed when presenting the rest of the documents. If previously married, you must submit proof that the marriage has ended. Certified documents which originated outside Spain must be accompanied by an apostille and Spanish translations. Certificate of Residence: Legal residents of Spain can obtain a certificate of residence at no charge from the Tenencia de Alcaldía in their district of residence. (First confirm that you are registered with the Censo). Foreigners who are temporary residents of Spain or have lived here less than two years may complete an affidavit regarding their place of residence before a consular officer. Posting of Banns: After the judge has accepted all the documentation required, banns are posted for a period of fifteen days prior to the marriage ceremony. Banns are a public announcement that a couple plans to marry, giving any knowledgeable citizen (such as another wife) an opportunity to object. After you have assembled these documents and the ceremony is performed, the marriage is then recorded in the Civil Registry and a Spanish marriage certificate is issued. Religious Marriages Couples will need to first obtain authorization from the Civil Authorities by presenting the documents listed under "Civil Marriages". Spanish law recognizes Catholic, Protestant, Islamic and Jewish marriages as valid in Spain without the need of a second civil marriage. Regulations may vary depending on the religious denomination. For Catholic marriages, the arrangements generally take from one to three weeks. The following documents must be presented to the priest performing the ceremony: Birth certificate: Spanish translation is required. Baptismal certificate: This must be issued within the six month period prior to your wedding, and authenticated by the issuing Bishop. A Spanish translation must be attached. Proof Both Parties Are Free to Marry (Fe de Solteria y Vida). After a religious ceremony, you have one week to present the church-issued certificate to the nearest civil registry. The marriage is NOT recognized in Spain if you fail to register. The requirements in most of the Eu countries are the same,to get married in most of the EU countries, you need a certificate of no impediment. |

If i were you,i would wait and get the permanent resident permit (PR) and with this i believe you can file for citizenship. At least right now,you have a job (though unprofessional). If you are keen on furthering your education,i believe education is free in most of the Scandinavian countries up to Phd level, why not take that advantage?. Besides which country are you? Traveling to Canada now to start all over again is not the best option, don't rely on any job to augment your tuition fees and other bills, that is risky, what if you wouldn't find any job or the pay isn't enough to patch things up. Moreover, you mentioned you are married, and probably with kids i guess. Please think this over and over again before plunging into decision. All the best. |
