Aside Samsung... Gionee is number one in Nigeria!!! But as a poster above stated, they're not taking Nigeria seriously. They don't know that this country is a great market for a wonderful product like theirs!!!!

Nnamsco4real:

Please, where did you buy an unlocked mifi. What is the model

I bought from paykobo.com free delivery in Lagos. The model is Huawei 5573 I bought it for N17,500. Works on all networks except Smile. It comes with free glo, airtel, mtn and etisalat sims.

This is the link....

Now someone just made sense, hence, forcing me to comment.

Now this is my story.

I was in slot along marina in Lagos. I wanted to buy the samsung made headset. The first place I sighted was ntel stand. I decided to stop by, and see if I can purchase one ntel sim for myself. Of course all the hype on Nairaland made me do that. They brought out their own already registered sim and wanted to test it first on my phone before we go into the business of registering and all the other wahala.... Long story cut short, we tried everything possible. Even the one the above poster is talking about.... LTE ONLY, LTE + CDMA etc. There was a time it showed their full network bar. Immediately we created a new apn and inserted ntel. The network vanished. I mean the whole of it. We tried to bring it back no way. We just concluded that my 4G is real and working, Ntel 4G is real and working also. But our 4G bands are not compatible. Ntel uses a band of 900/1800/1900. Im using Gionee s plus, both sim 4G enabled. I'm yet to get the actual figures of gionee s plus 4G bands. I don Google tire. But, as I am typing this, it just occurred to me that we tried the Ntel on my sim 1 and that is the sim, I changed my imei to Q10 (because of airtel cheat 1k for 3gig grin grin grin) Maybe, if I discover the actual band of my gionee s plus and it corresponds with ntel band. Then I will go back and get the sim.

So ignorant guys mentioning chinko should wise up.

PS: the ntel guys told me it works perfectly on the Tecno Camons C5, C8 and most likely C9. Me sef, I was even shocked to hear that Wack Tecno phones get 4G(make una no vex, I just hate Infinix and Tecno products, they make inferior products most times)

Guys, I bought an unlocked mifi, went back to the ntel guys and got the ntel sim. A day later after I've been using it with the mifi, I decided to give it a try on my Gionee S Plus. I changed the imei back to the one that came with the phone and it worked.... I was so excited!!!! Infact I was motivated to give it another try in my phone after I heard someone using it on the Wackest of phones.... Innjoo!!!! Haba, then how can Gionee not work biko!!!! In terms of China phones, I give to Gionee and Xiaomi!!!!

Please guys help me with answers....

Let's say I buy an unlocked 4G mifi. Can Swift, Smile or Spectranet sell their sim cards for me just like that without buying their own mifi. I'm asking because I don't have a mifi or any of these 4G networks sim cards. And I'm desperately looking for who will sell his or her unlocked mifi to me. Please answers needed. I need this unlocked mifi this week. Ntel unlimited on my mind.

You have really said it all. I did all the things you did and used several 4G phones. I guess their 4G band is different from what we have on our phones. This issue isnt encouraging at all. How can ntel compete with other networks if few phones can actually connect to it?

My dear you are really asking very valid and reasonable questions.... Some guys just derailed this beautiful thread. I wish this thread can make front page. So there'll be a chance of ntel seeing this.

Really how can their band be this selective It's not proper at all. Infact, I no get power to waste. The guys they're not even serious. The company has Nigerian written all over it, rubbish website, poor planning before coming out public, how can a sim card work on only 4G enabled phone. So our grand mamas and papas that will NEVER use 4G LTE enabled phone, ntel ain't for them. What is bad if the sim can work in any phone. Then if you have a 4G enabled phone. Then fine and good. You surf 4G. My dear forget that joke, called ntel. When they're ready we'll know!!!!!

This thread has been successfully derailed.

OP, I've personally used ntel on a Lenovo P1ma40, that's the dual sim variant, and it worked perfectly. You need to create an apn using ntel as the apn. Then go to your dial pad and dial *#*#4636#*#*, then go into ' information'. Now scroll down and change the network type to LTE Only. You should be good from there on.

Thanks for the correction. The Scarcity I am referring to is Dollars released by the CBN from our reserves into the Interbank Market. As sales went on, Dollars available for sale reduced. This in turn increased the price of Dollars, pushing towards N290.

CBN intervened by bring more dollars from the reserves, making dollars available and pushing the price of dollars down, towards N285.

I will correct my post. Thanks.

JideSM Please in the name of God you people should stop, taking my airtime for no just reason!!!! I loaded N1000 few weeks ago, to subscribe for the night plan you guys rescinded before anyone could subscribe, but obviously it didn't work.
Instead of MTN to leave me to weigh my options and see what other plans i can do with my N1000, you guys started deducting N200 at intervals throughout the day. Until I had N400 left. I had to share the whole N400 out to a friend. Since then I have refused to buy airtime again.

Fastfoward to Yesterday, I finally decided to test the waters with a N100 airtime, I had N4 as at the time of recharge, making it N104, before the end of the day I had N9 left!!!!! No outgoing calls, no text messaging, no browsing with the sim!!! This is highly unfair!!!! This is stealing from a loyal customer. Please this is my number 08065013038. Please do something about the deductions. I'm not asking for my N700 back. I just want the deductions to stop. That's all. Unless I take my matter to NCC.

All these things you guys are saying about nurses is not true oooo. Where I work we are super nice!!!! And I think it is almost the same with most private hospitals. I think the rude nurses are the government hospital nurses(not all of them), the auxiliary nurses, and the old nurses(our mama them). I don't know why the old ones are rude sha. But you should know that they're also very rude to junior nurses like us. The is that, you can't be a nurse that graduated in this new millennium and be rude or harsh. Haba, we were thought to be nice. And believe it or not, patient and their relatives give us money and gifts a lot. "A nurse is rude, wicked and harsh" na before before oooo... Unless the nurse is a frustrated government worker or old or an auxiliary!!!!!! #ProudToBeANurse

Hehehehehehehehehe hehehehehehehehe hehehehehehehehe hehehehehehehehe hehehehehehehehe...... But Airtel na mad people oooo. It's only in Nigeria Mobile Networks retrogress instead of progressing and advancing with better offers. If for example 500,000 Nigerians subscribe to this N200 for 3 hours, every night. Now it will drop to 50,000 Nigerians paying the N1000 every night for 3 hours.

THEY'LL BE LOSING 100,000,000 TO MAKE 50,000,000

They forgot that aside our money being spent. We usually sacrifice our sleep.

JOKERS!!!!!
