Ashleigh Oluwadamilola Plumptre....our own cheesy
Her grandpa and Kuti family have strong ties. Im surprised people are wondering why she loves yoruba songs. Shebi her dad has lots of obey and ksa collections. Lol.

Onumonu can't press? This has to be a big joke.

Even at her worst. You can take pressing away from her. That's her biggest plus. A striker that tackles better than 99% of players. Why do even think Randy likes her?
Haba.... Does this indicate she presses? 😂😂😂

You see what a press is with the men's game. She's not going to change that definition abeg.

Odegaard
Martinelli
Willock
Kane
Bruno
Lautaro Martinez
Osimhen
A few from the men's game that do this press all last season.

Direct or indirect press, anyone. Or better still, help define press.

Onome Ebi na retirement stage already, CB's we have now are Osinachi Ohale to play the role of Onome once she sign out finally.., Ashleigh Plumptre, Blessing Demehin, Akudo Ogbonna. Onyi Zogg can also play CB and FB.
We should even be getting ready for Ohale too. So this Flow is sustain. Deep down, I'm praying Nff doesn't nff things after this tournament. Continuity is alien to them allrounda.

Onome Ebi came to this world cup the same way Joseph Yobo came to World Cup 2014. Senior player doings.

This should be her swansong with this team, please.
she do well. All the best.

Give praises to people who deserve to be praised especially when the going is good..

You can't be easy on praises when people are performing well that's a negative behavior.

They condemned and criticized Ajibade.

SF won and should be praised for their performance after playing against Australian fans, Whyte supremacist referees e.t.c

Super Falcons just need to train and master possession football and they will be unstoppable.

The midfield players and attackers don't make themselves available for passing when SF is trying to pass from defense and that's what led to Australian's 1st goal.
I can and i will. But ill wait still when i see it's not a flash. She played well today.

Omoooooorrrr
Osinachi Ohale na Defender oo, She’s literally caring the team as the most experienced in the Backline. I just hope Demehin get that Confidence as that seems to be her major weak point if not she has been doing well in the absence of Onome Ebi..
Once Demehin pick up, Plumptre will finally get her CB role to be pair alongside. Plumptre confidence for going forward is sweet. Ebi for now na just squad player. The intensity I've seen, I don't think she can match it.

True. One of the reson spain is always starting Paralluelo, to help stretch opponents defences and give the midfielders space to do their magic.

One of the reasons why i feel spain will go far in this tournament. The addition of those pacy and direct wingers to their squad during those months of strike by the other players was a blessing in disguise for them. Now they can score goals without having to pass their opponent to death and in different dimensions. Its no coincidence they became free scoring in this competition, comparred to Euros.
Good bless you. Especially that Salma geh from u20.

That has nothing to do with her goal kicks...It has everything to do with instructions and the way our team is set up. ( Watch her for her club side, she tries in being a ball playing goal keeper...Both Short and long passes as well as on her weaker foot) I wouldn't pass to Demehin no matter what... and Ohale isn't a ball playing CB ( She's a Penalty Box old fashioned CB type)

She's supposed to be instructed to kick towards any side of the field Onumonu plays, have the midfielder on that side closer to her ( Onumonu) so they can win any 2nd balls, have the full back on that side push up a little bit to win and recycle possession should the ball fall back towards our own defensive 4th...Then the Striker should be instructed to stay on the shoulder of the opposition's CB ( RCB or LCB) where the ball was kicked to chase down any Knock downs from Onumonu or the opposition's defense.

Teams do this often, e.g Mancity's long kicks goes to either FB who push up to a particular side of the pitch, with the rest of the teams shifting to that side to make the pitch smaller and difficult for opponents to win the ball...
Chelsea did it when Cech Kicking to Drogba, Courtois to Ivanovic, Kepa to Alonso...With all of them winning headers or contesting for it.
Liverpool does same thing too...

Virtually almost all teams have a Goal Kick routine, but looks like we don't. Baffling.
You really think that was instructions from the coach? Losing all aerial duels from the gks and causing more defensive issues when all odds, including the ref, are against you? Or you're just admitting lack of technicality? Ederson is a ball playing gk with an eye for a specific player he's passing to. How he take enter here now?

All the examples you gave is farr cos those players have a high chance of winning aerial duels. We didn't win any out of all 9 in that period. Not 1!!

Two WOTM from the defence

Nnadozie and Ohale

When are the Midfield and Attack going to snatch their 1st?

A draw sees us through. However, we shouldn't pay for a draw. Take the win if it comes but by no means should we lose against Ireland. We really have to be careful against the Irish. They have nothing to lose and that should make them relaxed, play without any form of pressure. You can bet they would want to make a statement out of us. We just have to play the game like a final.
Scenes where the irish dash us 3 points to upset the balance of the other 2 teams..... They have 0 points. Although they may want to bow out honourably sha. But...mm😂😂😂😂

I guess it was Kanu's pace that scored the first goal.
Or was it Ohale's superb pace that birthed the second goal??

Pace without technicality is but of little importance.
Forget this one

Pace is everything in this WWC. 85% of the goals since 1st game are dependent on one or two pacy players. It is the most important factor in attacking in women's game. An attacking duo/trio needs it all through 90mins. Especially as the best teams in this tournament all have pacy players that press hard and fast.

Forget.

CONGRATULATIONS 👏🎇👍

WOMAN OF THE MATCH.

OHALE OSINACHI

SHE GAVE INN HER ALL. WE ARE PROUD OF YOU LEGEND🇳🇬♥️🦅

Later someone here will say she always balloon the ball forward
A wise And futuristic FA will start scouting for her understudy by now. Especially if its to just gumbody to her and learn stuff up and close. She has 1 WWC left in her before she bows out in fashionable and amazing style. Ohale is the biggest revelation of the decade to this team. No capping. Remove her and virtually lots of stuff crumbles no matter how talented the team is. Glad we have her.

An Amazon!!

Easy on the Ajibade and Randy praises for now abeg. Yeah she did well in this game. I expect more henceforth. It's not going to go away that easily until i see consistency. She was missed in 1st game anyway. But i guess that helped her and Ayinde mentally to give their best. It worked.

Ogbonna? Like Glory Ogbonna? Comon Mr Randy, don't do us like that?

Smh.
Our defensive game plan after the 3-1 had one deficiency- Nnadozie long goalkicks was totally unneccessary. They won all of those aerial challenges and set us on backfoot almost seconds later. Playing passes with the defenders was way way better. We swift to 5 defending and they suddenly got a goal back. Mtchew. She didn't need to come off her line. But we Won. Big thriller!!!

Then you don't know Onumonu. Haven't you seen her SF goals?

She, Opranozie, Kanu and Esther are good at one touch finishes.
Same Onumonu I've been watching every game she's been playing for GWG? Abi na another one? This is WWC and she cant presss! Simple. She sabi shoot but pace is not there.

Nicole Payne is there, She have the talent to become one of the best RB in the World… just like Lucy Bronze of England, and Ona Batlle of Spain..

Her move to PSG will certainly boost her chance as will get better playing there among and against the Top Players in the French League and Champions League
Im aware of Nicole. But we need two more to give competition at least. Happy for that move. Shows she's doing something right all along.

She's not aa DF/FB...She never plays that for her club side...The most defensive position she's ever had to play prior to the Super Falcons is as a WB. This Position is something she's had to play for like 5-6 times per year (During International breaks).

That's why I was a bit confused that no recognized RB was even called up...Maybe Nicole ( Maybe she had personal issues) or someone else.
Before Wafcon, I've been clamoring for another rb but looked like randy was a b-head then. Well, this will be the last i hope. She better get subbed off. We need her skillset against Ireland.

If twas Onumonu or Oshoala with that Uchenna Kanu moment, let's talk true, they'll wantu touch before shooting. Abeg Onumonu should sit this 3nd half out pls. Plsssss. This Desire injury rumors dey vex me. Imagine her hold up play for an onrushing Kanu or Ajibade at the box

It's because Ajibade moved from there and Kanu went there
Before the switch. All long balls went there. But I'm not understanding this Kanu. Neither there or here. I wished that Ucheibe shot went in. We need to remove Onumonu asap. No contribution in 45mins. That's minus 1 already. She just blocks their DM while Payne is pressing way way way better than whatever she thinks is called pressing. Smh.
