Cafu has some harsh remarks for Brazilian players moving to EPL. I kinda agree. It's been long any of them took the league by storm and translate same form to their national team |

Jodera: The thing is that the depth this season was for top 4 (esp the summer transfer). If you remember beginning of this season, I laid out our depth and said we've one of the strongest depth amongst our top 4 rivals (with only Gabriel, Partey And Saka not having deputy) . While it wasn't strong enough to compete for the league but I think it was okay to if we look at it from the top 4 angle.
Hopefully, this summer we'll add more quality depth and I hope most of our bench will be moved on That's exactly my point. I believe we will add more. In such a way that Saka will start getting bench time sef. That's what I'll love to see |

BlueRayDick: Martinelli has issues obviously and no need arguing against the fact that he loses the ball at times while executing unnecessary dribble ….. but take ur time and watch Xhaka when next we are playing .
It’s not even about whether Xhaka plays with Martinelli or Trossard. Xhaka doesn’t like shifting positions when we are in attack and trying to execute quick transition. He shies away from being in a position he can take a pass and sprint . If u eventually pass to him , he will not move , he will just stay stationary and try to stretch his leg like octopus. He would rather not shift position to take control of the ball .
I’ve been watching him do it for years now. It’s one of the reasons he gets red card at times cos when some passes to him and he fails shift position to get full control; he stretches his leg and sometimes kick outstretch leg of the opposing player . He’s improved on it greatly this year, but the thing still dey his DNA i will check. I feel its cos the rotation thing is not clicking so he maintains a defensive position, esp as Nobody knows if zinny is going to be behind him in the first place. The times Zinny was at his back, look at the final 3rd positions he ended up in. Esp this Chelsea match too. You'll discover Trossard's movement made him take up either the half space or the blindspot. |

Jodera: Marquinhos is for the future, we don't know how he'll turn out
But Jesus, Zinny, Viera, Trossard and Jorginho haven't been bad signings so far(with the only question mark being Viera)
I don't know how you'll look at this two windows and call them average.
Like Bluerau said, we can't move from 5th and compete for the league and you'll say both windows are average Just 3 have clicked by long stretch. The rest can't even effect anything else. That is why i called it average. Im not saying i don't recognize the effort. Im on contribution to this success we are currently seeing.. and that is why the squad depth issue is here. That is the angle I'm coming from. Not getting players that will not make one or two injuries felt that much. We have been immense with what's been in our disposal. If we had more, one will imagine what exactly we would have done differently. |

BlueRayDick: The irony here is that it’s actually Xhaka that should be making life easier for Martinelli and not the other way round . Most times when ball is played into space; Xhaka is usually lazy and doesn’t want to really run. You can see it from his body language if u are quite observant of how he plays.
There are times those players need quick transition of play but Xhaka usually hesitates. Sometimes I do think he’s a kind of player who wants to play from a stationary position, he doesn’t do well with u passing tomi him expecting him to change position immediately . Xhaka has improved greatly this season but if he was more light footed, he will be doing exceedingly better than he is currently . The actually rotate in a circle if you notice. But Nelli is more static. And does unnecessary dribbling by going into corners that two bodies will close him down. Xhaka's last goal shows that if Nelli fixes up with the rotation at LHS, he will be more threatening. |

I think teta is finally realizing Saka is off so far. He lost possession in the box the most in the last 6games combined. it got to a point that once he gets the ball, i was expecting dispossession, and he didn't prove me wrong. If he went for shots or passes like xhaka, he would have gotten at least an assist.
Conclusion, all the goals came from the left wing immediately Martinelli was not in the lineup. If saka comes from the bench maybe that will happen on right wing. Trossard did okay for me. In press and passes. Technical guy. He makes things easy for xhaka unlike Nelli. |

BlueRayDick: Things will get sorted out before next season. There’s a reason there’s preseason for coaches to work and improve on their team for the upcoming season; and there’s a reason there’s transfer window for coaches to strengthen their team where they feel they are lacking in any department . This is simply theoretical na. Have we utulized windows well? Let's hope it will be totally different this time around. Expectations low then upped for me is the way. Till then, ba lookery. |

Despite those DDD, if Teta had played for a Draw, it would have been a big difference, sincerely.
If you remember Chelsea's Pack the bus. It looked negative despite the firepower they had. Managers complained but it gave them premium advantage. I can bet you that Teta doesn't really know how to play to defend to his advantage. We are going to need that mentality as we resume Europe especially if the Transfer window is going to end up being a disappointment (im anticipating it already. Jodera: We'll need to get this summer transfer right in order to improve on what we already did. Our bench and squad depth this season was Top4 at best and it proved so. The quality between 1st 11 and 2nd 11 is very stark. Hopefully we'll get it right.
I believe Arteta would improve in his in-game management next season. Even though we're all disappointed but we must admit that Arteta's in-game management this season was very improved compared to last one. Everything is a process and I believe he'll improve as he's always doing season by season.
Well, Trossard being a starter now is too late. He should have maintained his spot when he finally benched Nketiah as our team were gun blazing with Trossard but Arteta had other ideas in Jesus. Sorry to say but I'm not feeling Jesus post injury compared to Jesus before WC. And I still think Trossard would have been kept till end of season where him and Jesus would have drag the spot in preseason Trossard has done all to be a starter. Like his Master, he has this bias or preference for some players, Jesus walked into the team and Trossard was sacrificed. A much more experienced coach will slowly reintroduce him to the team. Jesus has not helped since his return to me. Trossard na starter, epl. proven and team player in final third with eyes for goal. Haba. It is not late. Let jim get his minutes abeg. Glad Nketiah is back sha |

Woh, Arteta should look for pacy full back with some ruthlessness of Wan Bissaka as extra. My eyes dey pepper me every time they counter us and i see fullbacks strolling like they are forwards. It's an abomination to me, just like it is to Jose Mourinho. They are yet to realize that the pace of Saliba this season has saved us on a dozen occasions, especially where he outruns those running back. That thing dey muzz me gaan. Especially Partey. Guy runs back like he's a cartpusher in Tianjin in one Jet Li movie. Very annoying. It is surprising that they used the left side to attack us for most of their goals. I think Pep has given Arteta a hint of where the weakness in his team is. Plus after their goal, he was berating Ederson and it was about not giving long balls directly. Stones did that and it led to their goals. =Another weakness Pep has shown. We we totally outplayed but the mentality change with Trossard. How that guy sits on the bench sef dey make me vex with Arteta. A 3man defence with wingbacks system should be used to allow this Saliba absence reduced imo. |

This situation could have been averted had there been just more pace by those running back. The fact that the fullbacks were no where to be found again says alot. But anyone could run back and cover up either of two of them and stopped that goal. Two of our pacy defenders are out for the season and things fall apart at the back. We now have conceded 9 in 3games and dropped 9 too.
