I'll take Kanu as the 3rd CF as well as a backup on the wing (even a starter sef)
Onumonu can sit down abeg...
Kanu and Onumonu will make that list. Especially Kanu. Headache for final list loading 😂

Iffy should make the team. She has done more than enough to earn a spot on the squad and by merit, deserves to be in the 23.
Likelihood of her being a starter is very slim, considering Oshoala and Oparanozie will likely make the squad too.

Also, as a point of note, the only 90min strikers we have are Onumonu and Ajibade (maybe). All the rest, including Oshoala, don't have the energy or lungs to play a full 90 at the level of intensity Randy demands of them. Even worse for Oparanozie. Randy mentioned in an interview that Kanu is best coming off the bench (which I fully concur with). Not seen enough of Monday to make an assessment, but the little I have seen of her with her club UDG Tenerife, she doesn't appear to have the lungs for a full 90.

Also, not sure where folks here get the impression Onumonu does not have any pace. She used to sprint in High School and is well known for her pace with FC Gotham.
Abeg remove Ajibade from the 90mins list. 65mins and she should be subbed off or she comes from the bench. Anyone. She's off form right now.

I'll love to watch Onumonu at the world cup no doubt. She should be there.

Pace and power we have it in abundance but the Coach will have to make the rightful Selections…

Team play is exactly where he needs to work more and more on though they look a bit better than their WAFCON performance in their last 3 games…
Do we actually have pace? We have power to me. Teamplay is still a lil above average.

With the temple we played against New Zealand if we can increase maybe 50% or 60% and also work on our passes and quick movement all round we stand a great chance in that group….

Ireland that we ain’t rating look so physical.. One thing we need to do is to overload the midfield and give no space for our opponents to play their game.. if we can then we’re set..

Again If Randy is starting Asisat Oshoala as our point woman, then he need to know when to bring in Desire Oparanozie and move Oshoala to the flank to bring in her pace and ball delivery which Oparanozie and Echegini can make use of as they’re both very strong in the air..

Don’t even have any plan for Onumonu right now, She’s a good striker though but Randy need to work things out for her to fit in even as a Substitute..

Kanu should also be a regular from the bench slotting into the Left..
I'll still love Ify to go to wwc. She deserves a spot on the plane. Like this lady wan die the next day after she miss pk. She was moody inside swimming pool😂

The truth is our WC campaigns, the last two, na only Oshoala get pace that threatens opponents. Our tempo is not among top 20. If we can just switch it, there'll be a few casualties.

I'm rating the irish o. They are really physical and have a good goalie. Just not threatening up front. We should get 3points without slacking at the back. Defensive errors has caused 6goals in last two Wwc for us.

As For Oshoala,i dunno. Looks like she's a 60min player. Ajibade is 65. What they offer after this time is just not good enough especially as they don't even have power to defend again. Esp not to risk injury that will deflate our attacking flair.

What an ending to the April international break by Nigeria and fellow teams pooled in Group B of the World Cup, eh?

FT: England 0-2 Australia
📺 Highlights:

🇦🇺 Australia handed England their first defeat in 31 matches and indeed the first defeat under Coach Wiegman.

FT: New Zealand 0-3 Nigeria

🇳🇬 Nigeria extended the Ferns' winless streak to 11 games.

FT: France 2-1 Canada
📺 Highlights:

🇨🇦 Canada (who face Nigeria in their World Cup opener) suffered a narrow defeat to France; defensive hiccups on both ends.

FT: USA 1-0 Rep. of Ireland
📺 Highlights: https://youtu.be/kStF4vFEFK

8/04: USA 2-0 Rep. of Ireland
📺 Highlights:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isZAXb_JJjU

🇮🇪 Ireland (set to mark their World Cup debut come July) wrapped up a decent double-header versus the World Champs.
That Australia win just brought back some frustration.

The fact that only two of our current players are good at taking Shots on target; good goal threatening shots. The Cynthia Uwak style....the Perpetual way, the Prime Chikwelu way. All we have are tame shot players/off target shooters. 😏😏

Ayinde/Ucheibe is going to be a key player in that game against Australia. I believe she's up to the task.

The 2nd goal buildup is why I'm calm about Echegini. Releasing that kind of ball fast in that area is top thinking. Winger with pinpoint cross again. We still having ball release issues. Too slow movement.

Well, Colin's source, two, said it happened. Yesternight again, another told him it was blown out of proportion that it was a heated argument about tactics.

It's not even a secret thing anymore.

They are just there not even talking or relating on the bench since that incident. That malice kinda shed light on it.

Randy aside, the fact that someone assaulted the head coach is the end of the line. But such a man is definitely connected. Smh.

....Desire,Esther,Asisat upfront, Ajibade to the bench.....Desire will cause problem with that size and hold up play which will result in freekicks, as it stand, i think we have 3 people that should be taking our free kicks, Desire, Esther and Plumptre..Also i do like to ask, where do you think this leaves Ucheibe.... cool cool cool cool cool cool cool cool . This squad is loaded, i hope Randy can pick the best for each position per time.
The issue now is if randy sabi rotate at the right time. I don't mind Ucheibe starting imo. She's the only player that can make Ayinde comfortable and expressive in the middle. Plus her link up with defenders is the best from all midfielders in the team right now. Let's see how it pans out. Shey Plumptre go dey start now? Imuran is here to stay and that has made Payne get her desired role. That leaves CB for Plumptre to contest for. She's up for it sha.

Imuran is equally good with crosses. I noticed that during the world cup. I don't know why she was restricted to our half today.

As for Onome Ebi, she is another negative from today's game. Her passes,no matter how simple were erratic. She needs to buckle up and regain some sharpness. She almost gifted the NZ a goal with that short backpass to Dozie.
Sincerely. I really want to see her burst forward and release those crosses. It's in her. She needs a new alias abeg. She's earned it.

Ebi seems to pass well in some moments and then at other times just throws everyone off with chain of silly passes. Na cos Ohale no dey. Ohale should start at the mundial abeg. Ebi can't even run or outpace a runner. Now even 1/10 times is she going to win that duel.

We won them, but I'll love us to replicate how they rotate and distribute the ball fast and on the ground. They can't handle counterpressing though.

Why talk about a player whose second name is literally "Madam consistency"? 😂

Ayinde and Bad games in the Falcons are parallel lines.

She is almost always excellent in the middle. Keeps things tidy, Strong in duels, great at interceptions, majestic in her passing and a decent lines breaker where necessary.

Defence did absolutely well. Echegini deserves accolades for the goal. I'm still assessing cos I'm still not fully convinced. If her strength lies in run ins to the box then something needs to be done to make that a threat that even commentator go notice. Till then. One Champagne for Gift Monday and Alozie.

We urgently need a Left crosser badlllly. Desire was the only one that gave a sweet cross all match from the left. Normally, she should be the receiver of such crosses. Right crossing is still Alozie for now. We need one midfielder to join her in that. Those bunching at the corner flag is off to me. Not needed.

Never talk down again on what Oparanozie offers this team.

Just look at her power and hold up plays upfront. She is a monster in duels and can hold off defenders quite comfortably while lining up a strike.

She may not be the Fast Desire of old, but mehn, she still got some class and most especially she is the most powerful and most physically dominant CF we have.
She's what we desired for years in our attack all this long. What remains is finding her a telepathic partner to make it dangerous to face us. I was even expecting Ajibade to pass to her while she was still behind as she's the better finisher. Ajibade knows her legs are tired and still went selfish. Mtcheww.

Well, that shows how much you really know about coaching.

How many NT coaches have you seen change a goalkeeper at half-time except for injuries? Does that ever happen?

NT friendlies are taken very seriously unlike club friendlies. You don't tamper with the GK position at half-time for no reason. Either the second GK starts if good enough, or comes at the dying minutes as a substitute just to give NT caps.
