If Maguire can be doing this and consistently, then anyone that believes can do it, even more exceedingly. Guy was even doing the chochocho hand gesture at DDG. Like no remorse or fear of fan anger. English defenders have this cockiness that is annoying. I can mention over a dozen from 2010 till present with similar attitude. Only 3 are the exception.

One common observation is that we have only 3 players that can shoot at goal from outside the box accurately. See the goals? See the build up and the positioning and rapid movement.

Fun fact they are all new to the team.

Nothing is as devastating as being too consistent and predictable till you're found out.

That is the problem of Barca and the Spanish national team at Qatar WC. Predictable!!!!

Morocco proved it. All by a manager that has barely stayed with the team for a duration worth a semifinal spot.

I believe we'll bounce back. I really do hope.

Lol .. The bolded is very very funny. This is just like you saying you don't see Haaland as a striker and you don't know why he's chosen there. Abi e get another position where Zinny don play for us this season aside Lb? grin

I can't even do any stupid first 11. The omission of both Xhaka, White and Partey just spoilt everything. These 3 were very outstanding this season for them not to be noticed. Not when their nominees are even subpar
1st of all, using Haaland in this is not even close an example. Does he do anything else asides his 9 role?

Let's be factual. We know he inverted. Analysis this season proves his primary duty is lacking compared to his inverted duties which he flourishes in. That doesn't make him a natural LB. That's why every commentator acknowledges that fact that Tierney is a natural LB as he does much better defending than Zinch. This is not news.

That only 2 were nominees just shows how odd this TOTs is, with all those dangerous omission.

Lb on paper
Inverted player in reality

Same for Trent.

There's something that Arteta said in the all or nothing video(Aon— arsenal). He said that he'll rather play for a win when a win is possible than to settle for a draw and I fully agree with him.

Leaving the ball for teams and expecting us to always counter is attribute of a small team. We were forced to do that against Liverpool and we found out how Ramsdale made us not to carry basket go house.

Thank goodness we didn't carry that mentality to Spurs home or Stamford bridge earlier this season. Maybe we would have been below Man city by now instead of above.

Sometimes, I just feel we're overly critical of Arteta and his tactics that we don't want to even see the bigger picture.
I understand the winning mentality totally. But when you're not at your best, that alone impacts whatever plans you have. Osimhen absence alone made Napoli look like relegation team despite having same setup. You can't win all. You cant do that all season with a squad without a depth like City or Madrid. So it is just common sense. Yes we are top but we cant pretend injuries haven't affected our stride.

How the manager responds to such in emergency situations, adaptability and etc will reflect his maturity.

Once again, despite all of that, individual mistakes cost us 4 points in 2 games. One was foolishness by our manager. Lacking Respect for the person of Salah. And then carelessness in Westham game.

It makes it look like we can never handle pressure off the ball, which is shocking considering how we easily recover possession early on in the season. So what is happening.?

Fatigue definitely.

I think after this season holding should go abeg
I can’t begin to think of how last season happened after injury to a defender and holding had to step in angry
Na our Phil Jones. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 But i think it's too convenient making him the top villian in the last two games. He did okay vs Westham imo. Na Liverpool game he mess up gaan. But Zinch messed up the most and Arteta too by disrespecting Salah and Trent. That's tactical ineptitude. The team fell apart after that 1st pk. Arteta should have done some pep talk during a moment. He was barely vocal on the touchline.

Jamie Carragher was accurate about his talk on us

"If Anything is going to wrong towards the title race, it is definitely going to be Arsenal totally causing it, not their opponents doing anything outstanding on the pitch."

Paraphrasing

Two games we are leading 2-0 and we bottle it?

I can't even remember Arteta respecting some teams sef like here, play for a draw. Let them have the ball and just counter. We have over 30 different 90mins worth of clips for opponents to analyze and start figuring out our weaknesses so well and efficiently.

Guess what? It didn't really work. We rather messed up.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by daveP(m): 11:12am On Apr 18, 2023
I sha don vote and trust me, i hated how the defnce options were so slim at LB that i had to choose Zinch cos i can never pick Shaw wey no dey perform reach Robertson. So

Ramsdale
Saliba
Gabby
Zinch
Odegaard
Saka

My Arsenal guys gats dey my own XI.

Trippier
Rodri
KDB
Rashford
Haaland

Make up the rest.
That CB pairing have ensured we stayed at the top for way tooo long in this campaign. Seperate them and it becomes a problem. Meaning they deserve a spot together.

I don't see Zinch as an LB. I dunno why he was chosen there.

I believe Rashford has a great season than Grealish so i picked him.

That RW spot has too many hot guys. Starboi is 21 and has been super influential too.

Overall, i no understand the omission of at least 9 players across all teams in the epl.

The most shocking addition is Harvetz. If Harvest can make it, then kukuma add Eddie Nketiah. undecided

i discovered that once they begin counterpressing deep in our half, there's no coming back from it. We barely get a winner. Nelson is the one one to give up 3points from a draw soup in injury time this season. And guess what? Ø8 is often nowhere influential once that happens

Harvetz is better off as an attacking midfielder or support striker. He is not a goal scoring 9.
He should leave chelsea to a place where he will rediscover himself.

Who was the striker he under utilised at Chelsea? Tammy? Tammy is also classed as a striker? Which top/serious team or coach will use Tammy as their main striker? Even Mou is benching the boy most of the time at Roma. Wasn't this same Tuchel the same guy at Dortmund and PSG? Did he ever have a striker in the class of Osimhen when he coached Chelsea?
Everyone knows that Mou revived that guy's career and form with efficient utility. We witnessed it. He wasn't bad at Chelsea but he was dropped.

I had fears for Haaland going under Pep. But Pep has done well with Haaland. I however can't say same for Tuchel.

Havertz is doing absolutely nothing significant to be used up front but he keeps getting minutes. Is he tactically better? Is he good with position and passes. What's his aerial prowess? Yet....

Second error was now getting an already weak Aubameyang to Stamford again. You have the money and the means and can't still go for great 9s. Na Aubameyang (because he can drift from the wing. Imagine?)

He should prove he can do something with a 9 before Osimhen goes there abeg. Nobody should use the Lewandoski replacement talk cos Tuchel is not Flick or Nagelsmann wey sabi use 9.

Ajakaye cant be sef, she doesn’t have the skills Esther Sunday possess..

Helen Ukaonu had a good career with the Superfalcon even though it was very shot (2010 -2014).. She signed for Swedish Clubside Sunnana Sk from Delta Queens then and that was the Club she played for from 2011 till 2014. She burst into the Superfalcon starting 11 direct from U20 and Faith Ikidi was moved to the right Back Position for the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup.. She was our best ball crosser then along Stella Mbachu.

Anyway na Marriage and Child birth still make her retire early, She gave birth to her Daughter in 2014 or 15… I will have to ask Real Love OC about her cause cause e don tae.!

Abeg dead this bayern talk. Tuchel no sabi use 9. Simple!! The track record is there. He no sabi use 9. Even when Tammy was fit he didn't utilize him the way Mou is doing right now. We don't want him in a team where the coach go dey double think his utility when he's one of the lethal 9s on the planet right now.

If he put his hands on Waldrum he must go but if it was just a argument, they'll get over it. I didn't feel there was any beef between the 2. U could even hear the Nigerian coach passionately defending Randy at the end when they said he made an extra Substitution.

For me the real story is the coach that wasn't there. Would Randy have made the same decisions with her presence? I think the Nigerian coaches need to be talked about because this proves without a doubt that they bring something to the table. It was just Randy and them and they got it done.
