Concerning the striker issue, if/when we qualify for UCL then Jesus deal will be 95% secured. If so, I would want us to go for a taller striker. I wish we can just get Osimhen.
If Nketiah will sign the contract, it means we won't even sign another striker again asides Jesus
seriously Reus for just come England that year wey he hot. His teammates are doing do and he's talented than many of them. Nawa o
comodo: The 2 CB sef. Make I no talk wetin dey my mind. Truth is they got lucky against GH. They will qualify for the finals tho. But am not sold out yet.
Even of the best every team in this tourney, and those lapses are still there, the underdog teams of europe will use them do asun. I hope they don't allow that. Those boys are highly technical.
The forwards need learn a few things from the Iheanacho u17 set regarding touches in the box. Its too poor and one too many. The strength of this team looks like the counter attack system. But its not systematic in the final third.
Those defenders though. Lol.
Im sure they'll gel as time pass, but I'm not expecting much though.
zuchyblink: Super Eagles’ incoming boss Jose Peseiro has reportedly identified eight players who he will look to build his team around ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Qualifiers.
With the Nigeria Football Federation set to officially announce the new Super Eagles boss, the Portuguese is believed to be keeping a close eye on the current situation and has plans in place.
According to insiders, Peseiro has already identified a core group of players who he believes he can trust at Super Eagles going forward, and the 62-year-old intends to give young players opportunities too.
Maduka Okoye, whose performances have come under fire in recent times, has been studied by Peseiro in recent weeks and the Portuguese intends to try and get the best out of the Watford bound goalkeeper.
The former Al Ahly boss will try to integrate Ademola Lookman, Akinkunmi Amoo and Calvin Bassey to the national team set up very well.
Others are Moses Simon, Wilfred Ndidi, Joe Aribo and Victor Osimhen.
Peseiro is also committed to give Nigeria Professional Football League stars the chance to shine in his team. Copied from futbalgalore.com.ng
TheGoodJoe: By the way, I work in development. So I have had the opportunity to give young people assistance, even though it is through the office. However, it is not football-related. However, I am actually hoping to carry out a community football development scheme. I believe if we contribute our little quota, we can make a difference. We can not continue waiting for politicians while time keeps going.
If we can carry little help in our local areas, we can make little impacts.
But there are thousands of documentaries that makes this opportunity aspect a very valid angle in player development. Why is this such an issue? Its same for the Americans as well.
Opportunity differs and it is a big valid difference in the world of sports. I dunno why this is dragging on though.
The Athletics angle alone is conclusive enough. Who will know Tyson if he wasn't given an opportunity?
TheGoodJoe: My idea is at the development stage, you need more of training, especially on the tactical side of things. Playing regularly without developing yourself as a player in training can prove futile.
So, I preferred Nacho stays and works with Guardiola, even if it meant having less playing time. Remember Foden suffered the same issue of Guardiola not giving him playing time.
GUARDIOLA ON FODEN WHEN HE WAS LACKING GAME TIME “He’s growing from last season. There are still some departments he can improve. Sometimes he takes decisions with character and spirit because he is so young, but sometimes he has to think a bit more about decision-making, especially without the ball.
“But it’s normal with his age. His development is perfect. We are more than satisfied with what he is doing with his training and when he plays.” However, when you have passed the development stage, it comes a time to make your mark and I think Nacho is getting to that stage. Glad he developed tactically but I hope he gets to work with a coach that keeps improving him on that. But, he needs playing time now to show his stuff.
That's true. Just that we would all be impatient here and we didn't know if it would have turned out fine. The IFs on that front too many. But a development coach is better than a coach just chasing results. Besides, Pep Liked Foden. It was obvious from get go. I don't think Nacho's own was that obvious. Playing time reward is the only way we can know. Klopp can risk it, Wenger and Mou can too. But i think he's doing okay here. I can't trade the what IF under Pep for this currently. No assurances. None actually
Its the same with Iwobi currently.
But i also like a player so intentional on improvement beyond training hours. I doubt we'll see another cr7 or Ibrahimovic. This struggling is what is affecting man u players currently. No further development.
TheGoodJoe: My take is Iheanacho should have stayed. Iheanacho should have battled whoever led that attack.
I still wish today Iheanacho stayed. He was a real gift to our club.
Either way, he still needs to keep pushing. He has really come of age this season. I hope he made the right choices.
Even Gabriel Jesus who Guardiola prefered did not find it easy in the club.
We GWG fans won't have liked that.
We complained that he needs playing time and should move. He did eventually. Now he's overstaying at Leicester
Thing is we can't say if Pep liked his style. We can't just base it on chance that he'd have seen Game time in that position especially as Pep had a money chest he can use anyday. No guarantee for playing time.
superbloke: I've seen this type of comment several times on Twitter and I wonder if guys here will show the same energy as when similar coments are made about Osimhen's performance.
Im not a big fan of the hype he gets but Juve and Napoli are abysmal when it comes to creativity.
Its on here that many praised Vlah for working with the teammates and used it to spite Victor. Well well, He's faced with the same issue Vic is having. Funny thing is we know who is more technical between the two, but reality is reality.
Roland17: My Milan side are already ahead of everyone when it comes to Sanches.
lol. My take on transfer window is every minute matters and nothing is assured till final minute. But truly, Milan is ahead. We are back to 3points behind Lampard Helpers sha.
BlueRayDick: I think Arteta took a conservative approach to this game; that’s the only thing that can explain our dull attack today. Even our midfielders just want to retain the ball as much as possible in the middle . Tomiyasu sef no join attack
Chai. This will be half explanation though. In attack they don't seem eager either. Just Keti. And that's cos he's running. A sane coach will notice Zouma is very tired right now and double up on him.
Roland17: Tavares abi Tasmanian Devil? Pesin wen no know where him dey half of the time.
Credit to Westham, they are a very organized and compact side. We have been unable to break them from the middle of the park because of how disciplined they are in covering spaces and passing lanes.
I tell you. If only Partey was here, im sure we'd have taken this middle. I see Odegaard struggling once the opponents take over the middle.
