Just confirmed portal is now open to fresh applications without clearing backlogs dating back to January 2021. Now let the cash out begin in earnest. Let money start changing hands and let the booklets that weren't available start surfacing miraculously. Or you think it's easy to deny some persons up to 180k for two weeks? I congratulate those who have received their passports and left or are planning to leave this unfortunate country for good. I can't put into words my losses as a result. I mean opportunities that this country couldn't avail me, and that I may never come across again in my lifetime. I've picked up my pieces and I'm moving on with what is left of my life. Just leaving Ikoyi Passport office, my passport is not yet ready since Feb 16 i capture, the officer told me to come back next week. I'm just tired of this people. Funniest part some applicants that received text msg was also told that their passport was not ready. Ikoyi passport office is not the center we know before.

Sorry for what you're going through. I also just left the Ilorin office a while ago which makes it the third time that I have been there. The officer I met this time inquired if I processed via Express after which he asked for a confirmation text. When I replied I did it myself and also mention I didn't receive any message, he smiled and said I did it the "normal normal way," that I should check back probably in July.

I remember you kCatalyst. Thank you for coming through once again. I was there last week Friday. The officer I met at the gate denied me entry. He said I shouldn't bother checking back unless I receive a confirmation message, of which I haven't received any as of the time of writing (1:24PM).

Captured at the Ilorin office 1st of April and up until now I haven't received any message. I'm also about 80% sure I won't receive one in the coming days despite the new Passport regime starting tomorrow, giving some funny things I have observed at that Passport center. At this juncture and from what I have gathered from following events in the last couple of months, If I were to do this again, I'd choose one of the popular Passport centers, preferably Lagos. Those popular centers are the cynosure and are kind of careful in their dealings. Evidence abound on this thread and it's the same on the official Twitter page of people who captured late May and have received their Passport. But you see all those obscure centers, they don't care. Some are already hoarding booklets in anticipation of the commencement of the new regime. I even saw someone on Twitter saying he was told at the Ekiti Passport center that there are no booklets, lol. Another thing I want to mention is that those less popular Passport centers are the least friendly to DIY. I shouldn't be mentioning this, but after several back and forth with the handlers of the Immigration Twitter page, several emails that weren't returned, and a couple wasted weeks, I still had to part with 5000 Naira before I could be interviewed.

My thought exactly. Dude singlehandedly dumped his team out of the competition last year with his classical miss. Pep knew the guy has been wasteful/unserious for a while now reason he was subbed on in the quarter- and semi-final but even then Sterling still proved why he shouldn't be starting important matches.

He will not achieve anything with Germany current crop of players. No real talent and a few who do in fact have a bit of talent feel entitled or are too lazy to work hard. Overhyped players who depend on PR. They'll soon understand Low isn't the problem.

My initial reply assumed fresh application. Sorry I don't have experience with passport renewal/change of name. Hopefully others who are/have been in similar situation will quote you.

There's no official statement regarding this but it's based on information I gathered from following discussions on here and on their Twitter page. I observed two people whose NIN didn't drop had "No record found" in the description part of their portal. I'm however not sure what "vetted" "approved" and "success" mean.

The name on your NIN must be correspond with the one on your passport application. If you haven't done your NIN registration this is the first step. Having obtained your NIN number, proceed to the Immigration website where you'll fill out your details. Once done, you'll be prompted to print the application page and proceed with payment. I used the InnovatePay payment platform where I printed a slip that I took to Zenith bank (I think it's indicated on their website that they support Card payment but I couldn't find that option). I presented 17500 Naira for a 32-page passport and the slip generated on the payment portal to one of the tellers (not sure, but I think official payment is 23000 Naira in Ph, Abj & Lag). The teller in turn gave me an evidence of payment. I proceeded to the cafe to print payment slip which contained my interview date. I proceeded to High Court where I paid 150 Naira for signature and stamping of my Guarantor form (I had downloaded this from their website). I also bought a seal of 50 Naira still within the court premises for the Guarantor form. I took the signed Guarantor's form affixed with a passport of the Guarantor--alongside other documents like state of origin cert, Nat'l ID, birth cert, application page and payment acknowledgement slip--to the Immigration office. This is where things get easy or complicated depending on the DIY-friendliness of the center; Ilorin in my case wasn't. Assuming your chosen center is DIY-friendly, you'll tell the officer(s) you meet at the gate that you came for capturing. You'll be directed to a room where your documents will be vetted. Thereafter you'll be taking to another room for "interview" where the officer will ask random questions like date and place of birth and occupation. Again, if your center is DIY-friendly you won't be asked to pay other than the fact that your documents will be filed and your payment confirmed. Once your payment has been confirmed, your file will move to the capturing stage. Your face and thumbprint will be captured and you may be asked to confirm some details like your name and date of birth. Having done this, you'll be giving a slip that contains the date of capturing, your name, enrollment number, and tentative date for collection (applies only to a few centers like Lag and Abj).

I don't know for kids but for an adult, it's BVN and one of Certificate of Origin, Driver's License, Voter's card, etc. See this link for complete lists of accepted documents: https://nimc.gov.ng/how-to-enrol-adults/. Not sure what's obtainable currently, but I should mention I did mine back in 2012 when BVN wasn't even a requirement. Also, I did it absolutely free.

Capturing date will be indicated on the receipt print out upon successful payment.

I made this post 2nd week of January after following procedures here and making weekly trips to Ikoyi, finally collected my passport today.

Please did you receive any text or saw your portal show any information to the effect that your passport is ready for collection? I captured (DIY) at their Ilorin office and my portal reads "Success" whatever that means. I'm currently out of the state but was thinking of traveling down. But then again I don't want to waste transportation to and fro. I have engaged their Twitter handle but my tweets like those of others in a similar situation keeps getting ignored.

Ole can now now see why the fans were on his neck at a particular point to drop Martial to the bench. Had he made Cavani's decision earlier... Hopefully he has learnt his lessons.

please what were the documents you went with for guarantor. Also where did you get your state of origin identification letter?

Photocopy of the data page of my guarantor's Passport and one passport photograph that was affixed on the Guarantor's form. At the Ilorin office by the way although I've heard the guarantor's ID (Nat'l or Drivers license) is required in some other centres but I'm not sure. As for State of Origin, I had it before now; obtained from my state local gov't secretariat.

Just felt like I should share my experience with Do It Yourself at the Ilorin Immigration office. Long story short, I'm still stuck at being unable to submit my documents for enrollment. Reason: admin charges. I was at their office for the second time today. On the advice of someone here, I asked for Servicom. The officer I met at the gate asked who I wanted to see there. He then took me to a lady who checked my documents and started talking about how there are several processes involved, including an Admin fee (which I didn't bother to ask how much, since I wasn't interested, plus another officer had told me yesterday it is 12000 Naira). My conclusion: unless you know the said Servicom unit or know someone there by name or in-person, so that you'll just go directly to him/her, avoid DIY at the Ilorin Immigration office!

When next you visit the office, tell them you are going servicom. If they ask about your mission there, tell them to process your application.

If you check the DIY review list from jaceyopkara here, you receipts should be two copies, just photocopy or so, just photocopy all the acknowledgement and payment slip again and head straight to servicom if anyone calls you do like say you no hear and straight to servicom

When printing out ur documents, you should have application form, payment slip and acknowledgment slip . There is nothing like 3 receipts for passport application. Pls shine ur eyes, she wants to play on your ignorance

I have all documents in tact; she confirmed that herself except of course the three copies of the receipts which I read from their website only one is required and that you also corroborated in your reply. If you're familiar with the Ilorin office along Apata Yakuba, I'd appreciate if you could direct me to specific unit/department as it's almost impossible to avoid these folks when one doesn't know their way around. The woman by the way gave me her name and phone number and I'm keeping it for reference since Immigration often jump to the defense of their erring staffs, with their Twitter page in particular daring complainants to publish "proof".

Was at the Ilorin office today. DIY. The woman I met at the gate was talking about twelve thousand Naira admin charges plus she also mentioned that the Receipt page was supposed to be three copies. Would appreciate input from anyone in here who processed via DIY and has submitted at the Ilorin office.

The first few pages of this thread and the Immigration website I read a couple of weeks ago stated that National ID suffices as a means of identification for the Guarantor. Upon loading the Immigration website that I had bookmarked earlier I can now see that only Passport, and in fact, the new E-passport, is acceptable as a means of identification for the Guarantor. Has anyone recently had success with or knows if other means of identification, in particular, the National ID will work?

I'm just looking at his likes. It's almost as if there's an agenda because I can't get why someone would be angry about the decision of another to legitimately leave his own country. And to all of them shouting stay back, all it takes is some ransom money to some Fulani boys and just like that seven million is gone under one week.

Perhaps there wouldn't have been much fuss had the bride price list of a thing was designed in a way as to establish their daughter in business or even contribute some kind of growth to their community. But no - all they're interested in are beers and underwear, yet some of their people who should know better, don't seem to see the problem with this kind of set up. And any reason why they should? Not surprised her mum is religious, and of a particular religion. Religion provides cover for some of most terrible humans the world as ever witnessed. As long as you're part of their religion, you could be inhumane, toxic, or worse it doesn't matter. You're still better than another toxic person who's an 'unbeliever' and no matter the number of lives you end up destroying, you'd still be 'forgiven' provided you can associate yourself with their religion. For the girl, I wish her success with her surgery and a happy life ahead. But she will need to disconnect from that woman she call a mum. I did that with my dad - who is also religious and of the same religion as her mum - with no regrets.
