How I wish misfortune will just give this man a break. I was watching him on Chude's channel on YouTube about a week ago where he shared snippets of what he has been through. My condolences to you and family, sir. |
yemi1504:A policy not made out of pure, genuine intention - one not made for the masses - will be sabotaged of course. Buhari doesn't want to hand over to a non-Fulani because he knows his people can't escape justice for their acts of terrorism against the Nigerian people. Emefiele on the other hand is vindictive after his loss at the primaries. |
Hypocrisy is one thing you can't take away from religion and the religious folk. That is why when threads about gay people or other abnormalities feature on front page, you'll see unrepentant cheats, treasury looters, kidnappers, armed robbers, corrupt policemen and lecturers, etc. rush to vent their anger like they are any better. Here's Mike Bamiloye who secretly watched many of these actors he is attacking (because how else would he have known) but somehow he feels he is better. Even on this very thread the hypocrisy is glaring. There have been a few people who pointed out my point about Bamiloye but when people of his supposed faith wanted to reply, they carefully avoided that part. There's also one of them on page 2 of this thread who is claiming a higher moral ground in his reply to another member who told Bamiloye to shut up, but as recently as yesterday, this individual wished a particular presidential aspirant dead. You religious folks should stop fooling yourselves. You live with us and we know you guys very well. We have you lots as parents, sisters, brothers, cousins, aunties, uncles, leaders, customers, vendors, etc. and we know the terrible things you do. Sinners attacking other sinners for sinning differently. |
17 years old without job, skills or degrees being urged to marry? Her support being the man's money? What if, God forbid, this man dies suddenly? Your greedy uncles and mum not even caring what kept the man unmarried for that long? The thing is, there's very little you can do, especially where money and desperation is involved and you're one against majority. You have made your intentions known and that is what matters. Wish your sister well on her choice and focus on yourself. |
+1@HazzanTazzan. Sold him my Payoneer funds. Good rate and fast payment. |
Wow - all these backlash because I raised an observation and sought guidance? Even if y'all thought this was my intention wouldn't it have made sense to point it out kindly and in a civil manner? I have no intention to mislead or scam anybody and sincerely apologize if my post does in fact infer that. It has been modified, thread unfollowed, plus I wish you all good luck in your financial journey. |
Earlier comment has been withdrawn as it has been misconstrued. |
kCatalyst:Can confirm. I picked up mine today, captured April 1. |
Cloong:Another face-saving, directionless move. A face-saving move like the one where they will tell you to go and write petition in reply to your complaints of the so-called 'admin fee.' And when you write the petition, they won't even acknowledge it much less act on it. Whoever is behind this initiative should get serious and stop chasing shadows. S/he should begin by investigating the miracle behind how people who captured in May/June got their Passports ahead of people who captured in January/Feb/March/April. The searchlight should be on those guys at the production unit. They're the ones creating the thriving environment for the racketeering. They're the same set of officers causing the backlogs. They're the ones using the booklets meant for backlogs for fresh applicants. They're the ones causing artificial and unnecessary delay forcing applicants to patronize their services for faster results. Whoever is behind this move should integrate a policy of timestamps with capturing into their server. As such Passport printing will only be on a first come first serve basis. Until then, I remain unimpressed. |
meedx:Those guys work like a cartel |
adebisilucy:I followed your story from the beginning and this is the only time I wished "reporting" works. As for Servicom, I have had nothing but funny experience with them. Here's hoping my experience is an exception, and that the right people get involve this time. By the way, today makes it exactly three months since I have been captured. Don't know if it serves any purpose, but just know you aren't the only one who feels this way. |
faithgokz:I don't know about the so called six weeks because it's a new directive that started this month. If you grease the right palms, though, I know of some people who captured in May and got theirs in June. If it's strictly DIY, however, 1st of next month makes it three months since I have been captured. My source confirmed they're still printing for February for people like us who did it the 'normal, normal' way. Did I also mention I paid a compulsory 5k unreceipted admin fee? In short, avoid DIY at the Ilorin Passport office. |
adebisilucy:You haven't received yours yet? 1st of April, same center, yet no show. |
olutosyne:Happy for you. Good luck with your application |
Ada at 14 on the investing app but bundle and Coinmarket still showing $1.3. What is happening? Modified: back to normal
|
williams2600:My sis was resuming back in Lag so I gave her the form and scheduled a meet up with my friend who filled and deliver via one of the drivers. 1k, I think. In your case I'd suggest you supply your friend in another state with your ID and Ref number to download the form. He then fills and send to you. |
milkay:You'll present the new. Keep the old copy to yourself. Immigration already has it in their record, and it's what you'd see when you log into your portal. And yes the ID and Ref number will differ but the ID and the Ref number of the old application is the valid one as it is the one linked to payment. During Capturing you'll be asked to confirm place of birth alongside other details. As far as you supply the updated place of birth, you should be fine. |
milkay:I'll advice you do a new application to forestall any delay. You don't have to pay. The new application is only to correct the place of birth, and is for the purpose of filing. Of course the new application comes with a different ID and Ref number--but the old application, the one linked to payment, is the one Immigration recognizes, and as such the one you should always refer to. |
milkay:It caused a delay during my Capturing. Niger instead of Minna. I just located a nearby cafe where I initiated a new application process (seeing as the old application can't be adjusted) to reflect the changes. |
deeteeneey:I was referring to the Guarantor form. |
toms55:I don't know what notarized stamp look like to be honest, as I have never done an affidavit. All I know is that the stamp on the form is the regular one found on most documents. |
BelieverDE:Tell one of your friends to snap/scan the data page of his/her Passport and passport photograph. Then, you print at a cyber cafe (50 or 100 Naira) and photo studio (400 Naira for five copies). I used my friend as well who was in Lag while I in Ilorin, and it is what I did. |
Phlinx:Yes, start a new application and choose another center. Bear in mind the 30k that's on top of the official fee. As for traveling to Abuja, I'm not sure, but I don't think you need a Passport for that. |
BelieverDE:Guarantor fee? Downloading the Guarantor form is free and available on the Immigration website: https://portal.immigration.gov.ng/passport/passportGuarantor. Fill the form and get it signed and stamped at a court (mine cost me 150 Naira at Ilorin). Also, buy seal of 50 Naira. Don't forget the data page of your Guarantor Passport. That's all. |
Phlinx:You can't change Passport office after successful payment. You may initiate fresh application, choose another center, and then pay. I'm however not sure you'd be refunded as I read somewhere on their website that refund is for only when you're charged twice. |
"Don't lie or steal. Gov't hate competition." Can't remember where I read that quote but it fits in this situation. I mean the Maitama Express center is all the proof anyone needs to know that the Min. of Interior and the NIS boss aren't pissed that some of the officers are cashing out; they are only pissed they aren't the ones doing the cashing out. The business/business strategy even becomes clearer when you think about all those kangaroo announcements that seeks to crack down on the competition. More so, the 30k fee and the 72 hours max collection time. I should have thought getting Passports from centers like this should be FREE of additional charges especially for people who have medical emergencies or for select categories of people who can prove looming scholarship or job opportunity deadlines. Alas, this is Nigeria where the corrupt are the ones in charge of fighting corruption. This is why I laugh when some people here say "there's nothing like Express anymore." |

kenfarm:Ilorin |
olutosyne:Hopefully you get yours by Thursday next week as promised. |
olutosyne:I was at their office today. The officers at the gate told me production is currently for people who captured in February. |
olutosyne:Have you been there since you captured? Any update? I captured on the 1st of April. I have been there three times. I will be there again tomorrow. |
kingb1993:I understand the whole thing is frustrating but I suggest you edit out your plans. Don't ask me how I know but some NIS staffs are following this thread, only they don't comment. |
