what's the name of the footballer again? anyone know? ![]() |
mazaje:did you even read what i posted earlier? There is no longer room to "debate" . . . there is no longer any reason to "explain" or "justify" anything . . . When you die, go wherever u think dead people go. |
Bo, my bros. . I noted that he has become more of a campaigner than an objectively aware thinker.
you actually thought he was ever a "thinker"? ![]() |
thanks pilgrim.1, i doubt mazaje bothered to thoroughly digest his "pew research" statistic . . . he would rather argue blindly. |
debosky:no they didnt? ![]() |
oh by the way . . . just paying homage - whiteroses is another cute one here. ![]() That footballer looks like he's wearing an arab jersey . . . maybe |
that is not Mikel at all. |
mazaje:did pew research also tell you the population is growing? ![]() |
Etim Esin? What yr was the picture? |
who has won? |
enroe:the "why" is evidenced in your post - lazy people glorifying mediocrity cannot stand it when others tell them to pick themselves up by the bootstraps and stop blaming others for their self-inflicted "woes" enroe:Too late to wreck myself so thanks but no thanks to the unwarranted advice. Educational institutions are required to encourage you to pass ur exams? |
the goal of the likes of chrisbenogor is not to engender a discourse but to subtly back you into a corner to forcefully accept their own position. Chris believes God is "wicked", what else can you say to convince him otherwise? Even Christ gave some up to reprobate minds and didnt bother wasting precious time with them. to the likes of Chris and Mazaje i say - believe whatever you wish, when (not if) you die you are free to go wherever u wish. To believe in a "wicked" God is not by force. The way you go on rants about the bible, i wonder if someone forces you to read it at all. |
Uche2nna:that was his school in Indonesia i suppose. |
Uche, dont get me wrong . . . i'm not saying blacks shld not rejoice. I only balk at a situation where we end up rejoicing more than the Americans. Why have Kenyans declared a public holiday over the election of a nation thousands of miles away? How has Obama's election ensured Kibaki will not doctor the constitution again to perpetuate himself in power or rig elections or plunge the country into another civil war just so he can cling unto power? while we celebrate US elections even louder than Americans, we have dictators everywhere denying us the very rights we celebrate. In nigeria, an igbo man cant be president and yet we jubilate that America has elected a black man. Mugabe sends congratulatory messages to Obama and YET intimidates his own opponents, emasculates the media and impoverishes his people just to die in power. Are these Kenyans "celebrating" not the same ones who needed the international community to mediate after their last elections? |
Why do teachers set an exam when they know some will fail anyway? |
Mazaje you are making a huge mistake. Americans are not becoming dechristianized, what they have rather is a system that gives both the religious and the areligious equal rights to be who they are. |
long long sermon . . . somebody don write thesis already. |
torkaka:This is most likely a viral email. - Ok to a bible scholar - we know that if God has prophesied something IT WILL COME TO PASS. Do you suppose not voting for Obama would somehow delay the coming of the antichrist if indeed we believe the hoax that Obama is the one? - Where in Revelations are we told the antichrist would be muslim? - the bible clearly says the antichrist will seat in the last temple at jerusalem and blaspheme God from there . . . at present there is NO temple in Jerusalem . . . unless it can be built within the next yr it stands to reason that the first term of Obama is not likely the 42 months of the anti christ. |
I remember as a little kid being warned that clinton could also be the anti-christ . . . well ![]() *He has an African parentage - So all of us with African parentage shld beware the antichrist could be either of us? *He had an Asian upbringing. - Uhm, what does the scriptures say about this? *He is an African-American - You're saying the same thing *He has a Middle Eastern name - Hussein - so? Middle eastern names are synonymous with the antichrist? *He had a landslide victory in the election - Not even close to Reagan's 1984 landslide. A 7m vote difference isnt a landslide. *He victory is about the most celebrated round the globe of all Presidential elections - Primarily because he's black. *His intelligence and power of oratory is not debatable - So was clinton's. *His policies and programs during his campaign speeches are admired by all - This is a stretch. *etc, etc. There's nothing to conclude from. |
4 Play:To be candid i did not "foresee" him winning but i believed he had at least a chance if he could beat Clinton. That belief became stronger after Iowa. The Bush approval rating was at least one reason to believe any democrat would wipe the floor with a republican especially when you look at the caliber of those who were in the running. |
Tonim:Jealous ke? I was mighty glad the guy won, i'd been supporting him way before the Iowa primaries when naysayers claimed he had no chance against the clinton juggernaut . . . but i dont understand why Africans are even more happy than Americans. Kenyans have set Nov 5 as a national lazy day sorry public holiday . . . as if Obama will automatically make them US citizens too. sorry but the US embassy officials in Lagos and Nairobi wont give you special visa considerations. |
Negro, i expect you to be mature enough to admit that you LIED . . . here is your statement reproduced again . . .
Bush never traveled outside US until he became President, can you believe it!
Is it true or not that Bush indeed has travelled outside the US to no less than 10 countries before he became president?
George W, the first son of George H. W. Bush, had no cultural curiosity outside of US borders.
On what basis do you make this erroneous claim? Is there a way to measure "cultural curiosity"?
I am shocked you countered me with those claims of his visits to places outside US.
I am even more shocked that you made a claim you did not properly verify.
I would expect more than mere visits from someone who had nurtured the ambition of one day becoming President from back when he was at Yale and Harvard. Should he have had the curiosity to expand his knowledge and exposure to the global communities that he would one day hopefully lead? I say yes.
He toured Egypt (met with Hosni Mubarak), Israel and the West Bank with Ariel Sharon in 1998 along with the National Governors Association. So your question above is invalid.
His travels to Mexico is like Palin saying I see Russia from my backyard.
ridiculous.
Much of his foreign policy failures take root in his limited perspectives on global affairs and that was due to lack of exposure generally. The adventures of global travels and curiosities would have come handsomely handy in his skills on foreign relations, not necessarily at an expert level but they nonetheless become point of reference in building bridges and more particularly in his ability to see the humal element in other cultures foreign to his caucasian heritage.
Frankly you dont know what u're talking about. Obasanjo travelled all over the world, is Nigeria's foreign policy well defined? |
Ok this Obamamania is getting ridiculous. Some reporter on Fox voiced my opinion when she wondered why there were shots of Kenyan's on national TV in the US and we didnt get to see anything on Obama's family in the US, Hawaians, his ex-faculty mates at Harvard . . . when the results of the elections were announced. I hate to say it but Obama's election is a VICTORY for American ingenuity not a black liberation movement. Its great to be able to say a black man can be anything he aspires to be but we need to overcome this idea that Obama has become the Messiah of the black race. Obama or not, Kenya will still remain a poor backwater of civilization . . . it doesnt matter how much sperm they donate to other countries. |
MandingoII:why? Because the POTUS had a randy, irresponsible fellow from Kenya as a father? ![]() All of a sudden Kenya is now the 51st state of the US? Truth be told, 99.9% of Americans dont know where Kenya is and dont care. |
What is chrisbenogor doing here? |
Let him come down and talk directly with your parents. |
tope2000:try an "unromantic" naija guy . . . ![]() |
Most men are too absent-minded to do anything you have suggested above. Here are simple little things you can do: - Drop her surprise little notes telling her how much she means to you . . . if you can make sure she finds it where her friends are. Cant tell you how much a woman appreciates public affection - i dont mean PDA! - Hold her hand in public . . . dont be shy boy. - Once in a while try doing something she particularly wants rather than you doing your thing and she just tagging along. Just the few stuff i have tried that work excellently well. You really dont have to bring a woman the moon to let her know you appreciate her. |
David hit some important notes on it already that I believe may be omitted from Bush's memoirs when his Presidential library is commissioned. I need to use the present to qualify the political environment in 2000 election. The principal figure is first, Sarah Palin and second, John McCain. By far, Sarah Palin in 2008 is more intelligent and culturally exposed than Bush was in 2000. If Palin's lack of intellectual and foreign relations credit disqualifies her to be a competent VP, what more with Bush that qualifies him to be a competent President? In retrospect, this was the root of the problem for why Bush ended his two terms on the current note. Unlike McCain's heritage which is heavily military, Bush's heritage is solidly in public policy and executive administration; his grandfather was a congressional member , his father was a congressional member, a US Ambassador to UN, a US Diplomat to China, the Director of CIA, VP for eight years, the President for four years, went to war and won against Saddam. Bush 43 himself was a Governor for eight years. . . . . so it's not like he did not have the experience. His problem as I mentioned - aptitude and cultural exposure. Bush never traveled outside US until he became President, can you believe it! I could go on and expand and clarify in details but I will spare you the trouble of reading my lengthy article. There is one good thing I love about him and that is, George Bush does not waver in the face of threat, he is a brave man and a reliable leader to have in front in times of national security. His judgements may have been wrong but his decisiveness is exemplary. Also, he is down to earth with a good sense of humor.
I can't believe it because it certainly isnt true. 1. Bush was in China (1975) when his father served as US envoy. 2. He travelled to Mexico several times as Governor of Texas. 3. Represented his father at Gambian independence day celebrations in 1990. 4. Visited his daughter in Italy in 1998 5. toured Cairo, Israel and the WestBank (with Ariel Sharon) with other governors in 1998. but hey, don't let facts get in the way of your own opinion. |
black men shld cross over to the left and save their race too. |
how can that be? Even men arent detached from their feelings no matter how much they like to pretend. |
