OP, first you got to understand ur terrain.. In this part of the world, engineers are mostly designers..we work with softwares a lot, less with the dynamic part.. We are trained in our Univ. nt to build physically, but to model simulations and what-hv-you..(which is a shortcoming..but). I recently did a short modelling of an ethanol plant for a student in Malaysia.. Maximise these our limited opp. And make the best use of it.. Also, ur internshp is a great tool. I still chat and mail my supervisors.. They were d one dt exposed me to SPE, and my life changd from there.
Or u can go and do Audit.. Those pple loves engineers.

1. Before i say more, what did u study?
2. Have never fancied the idea of Cover letter.. U can imagine a recruiter having 1,500 CV to go through, and you are nw adding Cover letter..
There are some free UK CV assessment site.. U send them ur CV, and they grade it with corrections.. Google them out, they have helped me

@xtaceey, after d interview, then the assessment centre. I dnt stay in PH. For them to invite u over there means ur transportatn and accommodatn will be taken care of..
@carsonv, ur university courses. Focus on ur final yr courses, and one that has to do with health and safety cos thats was what she wantd to hear after i have talked bout *Process Design* tire.

You will knw the name of the interviewer a day before the interview..
Mine was a nigerian,and her accent no be hia..

@xtaceeey, i think BH works with CGPA (3.0 and above)..ur skills, leadershp and team playing ability.. You got to show them u are diff from the crowd..

I see many pple are getting this *simple* thing wrong..
Tithing, First fruit et al are personal volution, nt commandment.. If u do it, it comes with its blessing, if u dnt do it, u will still be blessed. The salient point WE ARE all missing is GIVING.. Tithing was not mentiond in d New Testament, but giving (offerings, to the poor, for evangelism, missions) was over emphasizd. So if u want to pay tithe, pls go on.. If u dnt want to pay, pls go on too.. Just try and help someone in need

If it had been 2 months ago, i would have helpd u submit myself in Total, cos they wrote the test aug ending, and the successful ones resumed Sept..
For Chevron, try and get to their HQ at Lekki, and plead with those MIB(Men in Black) to help u submit the letter with the receptionist..
Nevertheless, try other Oil servicing coys like DeltaAfrik at Adetokumbo Ademola, and Crestech at Ajose Adeogun..

sommerised: Total(PH) pays 15k while chevron(warri) pay 30k with free launch, shell pays 10k including 1k each day you come for work, for transport and feeding. But shell have moved entirely from off-shore to on-shore.

As as then, Total pays 15k with free tea/coffee, lunch and transport. Well, even if they had paid nothing, i would still have done it cos the networking and training experience was superb!
Chevron pays higher though..
