I think so, though nt every1 was sent d mail. A colleague dt applied with B.Eng was nt sent, and he had a pretty good resume.. Might be age barrier.

check Total's website on www.ng.total.com which is the upstream site
that totalcareers.com.ng is a scam
check the designs on the upstream and downstream sites u will notice the difference and also u can navigate between them even to their group site

Still cant believe u are still arguing, okay, go to d careers section on d downstream website, u will see a link to their recruitment page and it will take u to this oda site which is what you call scam.. Take Chevron for instance, their recruitment page is totally diff from dia normal website.
Besides, i have already filled my details and i instantly got a mail from them that it has been received.

This is downstream sector of Total (Filling stations etc), they recruit differently from their mother company. did you guys even open the page, its a website that has the latest design which is expensive. How on earth can you call it a scam??

Egina is still being drilled and developed. It will come on stream by nxt yr /2015. Located at d outskirts of PH. Try and google bout it and check Total website.
What i mean by d 8 yrs or so is that, you will be a staff of the company and because of the huge capital investd on u thru d training, it would nt make sense for u to leave after 2 or 3 yrs.. I knw some guys who hv spend close 2 13yrs on being an operator, and they are wealthy.

Its possible u learn it on ur own, bt its expedient u go for the training. U can check the Careers page, and search for PDMS, Piping Designers and Piping Engineers forum to get more info.

1. This is nt a graduate trainee position. Its for operators position. Operators are basically technicians (OND and HND), trained specifically for Productn operations. B.Eng holders are nt likely to be called cos they tend 2 be ambitous when they see their fellow colleague earning much more as field engineers and getting promoted. Operators are trained at Ogere, Ogun st for a year or less, after which they are posted to Total's fields particularly d new offshore field, Egina..and they are likely 2 spend a minimum of 8yrs with the coy, though nt bonded.

2. For the B.Eng holders, be patient, trainee engineers would soon be out. Start preparing because it wuld be competitive.

There are certain key-points only the instructor will pass along that the Aveva course note does not disclose.

Read my previous post well. If u made a 2.2, delete it and put ur CGPA there, and let ur CV be about leadership and teamplaying qualities(frm sch till nysc, write everything there)..

igbonla: Always be hopeful, what class of degree did you make? When and where did you graduate from? My friend heads a Lab in one of the majors and he mentioned that they are looking to fill some contractor positions.

You can retrain and get a PGD in Pet Eng or Chem Eng to give you opportunity into core Pet Eng or work as a Process Engr in subsurface areas. Probably even as a drilling rep or in HES..limitless opportunities.
