There is a reason they are called " PERISHABLES " in the forst place.

You are indeed a clown and a joker. Who buys tomatoes for preservation for a year. This only happens when the misinforned becomes weathy. And to make such a post only does nothing but project your IQ and poor level of understanding of life. In atomic chemistry and physics, a phenomenon exists that is called half-life. By principle, it also exists in biological sciences. The half-life principle when it comes to food and its kinds theoritisizes that the quality of all kinds of foods in life reduces in quality each day until ut becomes ordinary shaft ( death process )

What i am saying in essennce is that it is to your great disadvantage to buy raw foods for long term storage because the nutritional components of the foods becomes broken and broken down by each day. You will eat it but what makes it nutritous and nourishing for the body completely breaks down molecularly and by the time you eat it after prolonged storage the butrients in it would have diminished by as much as 50-70% hence life by this principle encourages continous work so no one stores and refused to work further

I am saying aby storage of tomatoes, vegetables, pepper for long term is a disadvantage. Do not repeata this again. Eat, thank God for provision and pray to have for the future
In other words, he should boil it till it is very thick and dried grin grin

HOW DOES THIS RELATE TO SECTION 249 OF THE NIGERIA CRIMINAL CODE?
BELOW IS THE SECTION 249
The following persons‐

(a) every common prostitute‐

(i) behaving in a disorderly or indecent manner in any public place;

(ii) loitering and persistently importuning or soliciting persons for the purpose of prostitution;

(b) every person wandering or placing himself in any public place to beg or gather alms, or causing or procuring or encouraging any child or children so to do;

(c) every person playing at any game of chance for money or money's worth in any public place; and

(d) every person who, in any public place, conducts himself in a manner likely to cause a breach of the peace,

shall be deemed idle and disorderly persons and may be arrested without warrant, and are guilty of a simple offence and liable to imprisonment for one month.

Take a look at Paragraph (a)(I) and (d).
Taking paragraph (a)(I) first, the words "disorderly" or "indecent" are disjunctive and not conjunctive. Meaning a person can either be disorderly or indecent "in any public place". Would u say the Prince acted in an orderly manner? What is orderly about instructing security operatives to let off shots from firearms into the air. Is this behavior orderly?
Now look at Paragraph (d). Considering the results of the action of letting off shots and the Prof. being hit, followed by the mob action, would u say his action didn't cause a breach of public peace?
Sorry I returned home late and tayad

This is really sad and painful. The Prince clearly didn't mean any harm. Village people are really strong. Celebration just turned to tragedy of immense proportion. Both the prince and the hunter who shot wrongly are in for a long ride with the law. Is the gun licensed? Is the one carrying it licensed to do so? These are some of the posers that will determine culpability. But it's a long ride for sure!
It is best the Prince is charged with the offense of being a "vagabond and disorderly person" under the criminal code. The Prince was neither in control of the firearm nor can it be shown that he procured the security personnel to kill the Professor. Section 249 of the Nigerian Criminal Code is the best catch to put away the Prince.

FIDA and their usual nonsensical approach to such matters cannot cease to surprise me because they are an association of dumb persons dressed in lawyer's robes. This is both a criminal and civil matter, yet FIDA is claiming it is strictly a family issue. How? Maybe the widow should be killed first before they pore through the law books to find the liability of her late husband's siblings? Didn't the Court of appeal in NZEKWU v. NZEKWU hold that such practices or acts are against the rights of a widow and her children? How on God's green earth would FIDA now claim it is strictly a family matter? What a sorry sight for an association.

The Case of Joseph and Potiphar's Wife: A Comparative Analysis under Nigerian Evidence Law

Introduction

The story of Joseph and Potiphar's wife in the book of Genesis presents an intriguing narrative with legal implications. This essay aims to explore the events in Genesis 39:12-18 from a comparative legal perspective, focusing on whether Joseph would be liable and jailed in contemporary Nigeria based on the evidence provided by Potiphar's wife. The analysis will be conducted within the framework of Nigerian evidence law and practice, utilizing the OSCOLA (Oxford University Standard for Citation of Legal Authorities) reference style.

The Story of Joseph and Potiphar's Wife

In the biblical account, Potiphar's wife attempted to seduce Joseph, but he resisted her advances. Subsequently, she falsely accused him of attempted sexual assault and presented his garment as evidence of the alleged crime. This led to Joseph's unjust imprisonment.

The Nigerian Evidence Law Framework

Under Nigerian evidence law, the burden of proof lies with the prosecution, and the standard of proof in criminal cases is "beyond reasonable doubt." The law also emphasizes the admissibility of evidence, including the requirement of relevance and authenticity.

Analysis of Potiphar's Wife's Evidence

Potiphar's wife's sole evidence against Joseph was his garment, which she presented as proof of the alleged misconduct. However, considering the principles of Nigerian evidence law, this evidence would likely face significant scrutiny. The relevance and authenticity of the garment as the only incriminating evidence would be subject to rigorous examination.

Legal Implications and Conclusion

Based on the principles of Nigerian evidence law, it is improbable that Joseph would be jailed solely on the evidence adduced by Potiphar's wife. The lack of substantial corroboration and the inherent doubts surrounding the authenticity and relevance of the sole piece of evidence would make a conviction unlikely under the Nigerian legal system.

In conclusion, the story of Joseph and Potiphar's wife, when analyzed through the lens of Nigerian evidence law, highlights the essential principles of evidence admissibility, burden of proof, and standard of proof. This comparative analysis underscores the significance of legal frameworks in ensuring fairness and justice in the adjudication of criminal cases.

BusinessRe: 90% Of 2023 Diaspora Remittances Didn’t Get To Nigeria — Oyedele by DavidEsq(m): 11:42am On Jan 19, 2024
FreeStuffsNG:
"We have spoken to loads of Nigerians almost everywhere, in the US, UK, etc. They told us how they send remittance. They use Apps, and we have tried some of those Apps, they use parallel market rates. So, you take $1,000 in New York, and tap on your phone that you are sending $1,000 to someone, a Fintech, they pay the Naira equivalent in Nigeria without bringing the dollars, unless of course if the source of the money is illicit.”

If the forex doesn't land in Nigeria then it's wrong of World Bank to classify such funds as diaspora remittances. To qualify as diaspora remittances then the fund must leave the foreign country and land in our own financial system. What predominates does not quantify as remittance because the foreign currencies remain in the overseas account of the operators of those apps who mostly open and operate their bank accounts from illicit funds havens like the British Virgin Islands, Bahamas, Ireland, Mauritius etc. So while you send $1000 from US, you get paid in naira here but your $1000 lands in a bank account in British Virgin Islands! That's not a diaspora remittance in Nigeria!

Those app platforms are the real wall blocking the remaining 90% of the total diaspora funds from getting into our banking system. If our financial regulatory control laws don't reach those fintechs, our tax laws should. FG must go after them and their collaborators here in Nigeria.
May God bless Nigeria for ever! Check my signature for free stuffs!

Where is the maltreatment?

I didn't see them beating her on any other form of physical abuse.

Anyone who has lived with people with dementia will know taking care of people with dementia are one of the hardest things to do, especially if such individuals are old and stubborn naturally.

Maybe the UK authorities themselves should take it upon themselves to take care of that woman individually for just a week and let's see if they won't do worse to that aged woman than those four Nigerians.

Even if you are patient and have empathy, if you meet individuals who are stubborn.. you will lose every shred of patience and empathy in you and if you are not careful you might physically abuse the patient but from that video there's no form of physical abuse.

Exactly.. most people haven't lived with such people...
If you have lived with a family member especially aged ones who has mental illness, I doff my hat for you cos you are doing a great job.
Aged people with mental illness are even harder to take care of than new born babies

The UK authorities themselves knows this, that's why they gave those people a very short sentence.
Care givers are trying abeg, though some of them are actually wicked but those four have done nothing wrong from that video

Some of you will just open your mouth waaaah.. you are not in those people's shoes so you don't know how hard it is.

If you have lived with aged people who have dementia and on top of that dementia they are stubborn... even you who taking care of them will lose your sanity.

This is where most of you are getting it wrong.. we are humans yes and it's mandatory of us to always be as humane as we can be but what you don't realize is there's a limit to how much everyone can stay humane before they lose their sanity, before they lose any form of empathy, kindness, love etc in them.

You see those care givers I'm ready to die on that hill with them with the video I watched.. as someone who has taken care of a family member with same illness, the only reason that kept me in check was because the said individual was a loved one.

If most of you have taken care of aged family members with mental illness, you all wouldn't be here criticizing those care givers who have done absolutely nothing wrong in that video.

I'm sure someone like Joke Silva, will have a thing or two to tell you of how hard it is to take care of such people.
I really wish u could tell us the most challenging experiences u had in this respect. I really want to know because I feel it's may be an inevitable stage of life I may experience or others may experience at my hand.
