Oga pastor, u say the beast in Revelation 13 is the son of perdition, that is, the devil, which u also called the baba antichrist and that the devil (beast) forces peeps to receive the mark and that the Antichrist would soon show up. Now let's see if that beast is the soon-to-come antichrist. Revelation 13:1 describes the beast as having seven heads. Verse 2 describes the beast as having the features of a leopard, bear and lion. Let's what this beast is:
In the book of Daniel 7:2, describes beasts rising out of the sea, just as John saw, hundreds of years later, in revelation 13:1. Now verse 4, 5 and 6 of Daniel chap 7 describes each of the beasts in those verses as having the semblance of a lion, a bear and a leopard and verse 7 shows another beast having 10 horns. U can see that both beasts in Daniel and John's visions are alike (that's scriptural uniformity, which is that the bible doesn't contradict itself)Does the bible tell us who or what these beasts are? Oh yeah! Get ur seat belts on: In Daniel 7:16,17, this is wat it says:
"I went near to one of those who were standing there to ask him about the true meaning of this. So he replied and made known to me the interpretation of these things. 17 “‘These huge beasts, four in number, are four kings who will stand up from the earth".
The beasts clearly represent governments on earth. Now the last part of verse 4 of Revelation 13 tells us that the dragon gave power and authority to the beast. It means that there are two entities here: the dragon and the beast(s). Who is the dragon? Revelation 12:9 describes the dragon as the devil, Satan, the original serpent, who misleads the whole world. So u see here? The beast(s) is not what u call the soon-to-come antichrist. It is the very government of this world. The dragon giving power and authority to the beast to rule shows that world government do not derive their support from God. In Luke 4:6, the bible tells us that the authorities and Kingdoms of this world is in the devil's hands and he gives it to whomever he wishes. Is that true? In John 12:31 this is what Jesus said: "Now there is a judging of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out". John 14:30, John 16:11, etc all confirm this fact. So if according to u, the beast is the antichrist, u are not wrong but u are wrong to say the antichrist is yet to come. He has been here from time. To also describe th beast and the devil to be one and the same is wrong, because u would be saying that the devil gave power to himself to rule, which would b wrong, in view of Revelation 13:2. In fact, one of the beasts (Rome) was responsible for Jesus' death (that's not to say we should spite them, Heck no) but we must respect the government as Romans 13:1 tells us. I would encourage u to further read Daniel 7:10-14 an u would be amazed on wat is to come in the nearest future. A mind set to be resistant, quarrelsome and all knowing, will never know anything.

At the first bolden, do u see you are filled with strife. That ur comment was directed at another, does it preclude others from responding to it when u put it on a public forum?
At the second bolden, can u point out where I said that in my post?
At the 3rd bolden: Did Jesus ever make any illustration without reference to a known object or ideology on earth? If Jesus talked about hell, did u realise that there was a place at that time called Gehenna? History talks about that place. U should look it up on Google. U would realise he was talking about permanent destruction. That is why Jude 7 says: "In the same manner, Sodʹom and Go·morʹrah and the cities around them also gave themselves over to gross sexual immorality and pursued unnatural fleshly desires; they are placed before us as a warning example by undergoing the judicial punishment of everlasting fire".
If Sodom and Gomorrah are not still burning till date, yet their destruction is described as "suffering everlasting fire", why arent they still burning? It was physical event and that scripture says the event is an example of wat is to come. What is an example? Mathematics tells us that if we go beyond or below an example, we would miss the point or answer. Taking Jude 7 as it says, there is nothing as a fire blazing forever and ever. By the way, why wasn't that fire talked about in the "old" testament. Was hell fire just created during Jesus time? Ha! It must be grin

Daniel 11:29-45 speaks of earthly wars and conquest. In fact, verse 31 is more apt, as it talks about the invasion of Jerusalem by the Romans, which Jesus Christ in Matthew 24:15, quoted thus: “Therefore, when you catch sight of the disgusting thing that causes desolation, as spoken about by Daniel the prophet, standing in a holy place (let the reader use discernment),".
It was a prophecy of the desolation of the jewish nation. That is why in Matthew 24:16, Jesus went on to say: "then let those in Ju·deʹa begin fleeing to the mountains". That prophecy came to pass in 70 AD when the Romans surrounded Jerusalem with a fence made from tree cut from around Jerusalem and entered Jerusalem and desecrated it. The Romans represent the disgusting thing standing in the holy place. It had nothing to do with "the antichrist in the way u painted it".

However, it is clear from other passages that there will be one
particular Antichrist, who will appear on the world scene
shortly before the return of Jesus Christ (see Revelation 13; 17; 19:17-21; Daniel 11:29-45 ; II Thessalonians 2:1-12 ).

Before I pick and read the last scriptures u cited, which I would do, unlike u who doesn't bother to read the ones I show u, let me first point out something u have looked away from, probably in a bid to "win a debate": that book of 2 John 7 identifies the antichrist as a world group of false religion who are deceivers. Have u thought deeply about that? Is there any worse situation than being deceived from the truth? Why then are u looking for a bigger baba antichrist, when the false preachers have been identified as the antichrist? Do u feel any bigger damage can be done to mankind than to be deceived? Was it not deceit that led to the fall of man in the first place? Teaching a doctrine that doesn't conform with the bible truth is antichrist and the bible has identified that. Now let me go on to the next bolden.
Do u now see ur grave confusion? Pardon my harsh use of that word, but if I may ask, did u see verse 18 of Revelation 13? It clearly tells us that the number of the beast is a MAN's number, which means it is not a demon's number. Rather, it is something that can be found with men. That is to say, it is man that is responsible for the use and enforcement of that number. U skipped that verse and I believe it was because u are trying to win the debate rather than reason from the scriptures. Now, verses 16 and 17 tell us that ALL persons on earth are being forced to receive the mark, either on their foreheads or right hand. If th number is that of a man, what exactly is that number? And since it is ALL that are being compelled to receive the number, what is that thing that all must do, if not they would not be able to buy of sell?
U agree with me that buying or selling means everyday survival and that was the prevalent means of survival in the days of John who wrote that book. Today, a lot of Christians ar being compelled to compromise God' moral standards or forfeit their means for survival. Currently, u cannot go into a lot of endeavours with first being a cultist or identifying with a type of behaviour that is against the bible. I know someone who would never do anything good for me, until I decide to join his confraternity. If a lady ha to get a job today, she has to compromise her body, same goes for female students, footballers, and a whole lot. In fact, in the fashion industry, I mean the big industry, u have to let go of some virtues; even having to suck a d1ck as a guy. Oh yes! In the general market of petty trading, if ur measuring cup is not beaten inwards at th bottom, u would be frustrated by the market unions who believe u are "spoiling" their business. If u don't have a boyfriend as a lady or a girlfriend as a guy, ur unbelieving peers would make u feel like an outcast. Even the adults would join in the mockery and pressure on u. Being a virgin boy o girl nowadays is now seen as a mark of naivete. If u oppose "expo" during exams as a teacher or invigilator, ur life would be terribly frustrated by the same school authority. In fact, they would transfer u to that part o the state where malaria or insecurity would quickly kill u. In all these challenging situations, one thing runs thru them: "situations that make it extreme difficult to survive in this world" and it caused or spearheaded by men. Who do these situations affect? Mankind in general and not just Christians alone. Do u remember a certain artiste who immediately after he wore a yellow beret, his musical career suddenly shot up? U don't wanna know wat that colour of beret stands for. That is why it is identified in verse 18 of Revelation 13 as the number of a man. There is another reason it is the number of a man. We would talk about that shortly.

The book of Genesis tells us that man is a soul himself; not that man has a soul. Genesis 2:7. The Greek meaning of soul (since una dey like big grammar) means "nephesh" which means "breathing creature". So man became a breathing creature when God breathed the breath of life into his nostrils. That is why psalm 146:4 tells us that "in the day a man dies, his thoughts perish". U statement that "see if demons would not take ur soul" means the person who has died is still conscious, but Psalms 146:4 tell us that a man's thoughts perish wen he dies. Thoughts, we all know is the ability to be conscious of ourselves but the bible tells us they perish when we die. In fact, ecclesiastics 9:5,6 tell us that when we die, we are no more conscious, hence it says that "the dead know nothing at all........and all their love, hate and jealousy perishes" when they die. So wr did u get this ideology from. In fact u are painting God as a wicked person who uses fear to command respect and obedience from mankind, which is not true.

The bible didn't say a man would declare "peace and safety". It says "THEY", which is the world empire of political rulership, which is the UN. If u hav been following the trend of world politics, u would see a general disarmament of nuclear weapons going on. Even that man who eat black indomie (Kim Jong Yun-North Korean Oga) is already taking part in this peace talks. If u look at Isaiah 2:4 it says this: "They will beat their swords into plowshares And their spears into pruning shears. Nation will not lift up sword against nation,Nor will they learn war anymore". That verse was handpicked by the UN and misinterpreted to mean "world peace". That is, peace in this present world of Satan's rulership. That verse is inscribed on the UN building. That is the same UN or world political force that would declare world peace and not "one man" as u are putting it.

What is the meaning of anti-christ? An opposer of Christ. Haven't there always been opposers of Christ from time immemorial till date? What exactly did the bible say the "antichrist" would do, that Obama did? If Obama didn't do them, do u see that ur belief in such an antichrist is flawed? In fact, to even rely on "some ppl" rather than the bible is a major flaw of Christian belief on ur part. The bible makes it very clear both in Matthew 24:3-14, revelation, etc, on wat signs of the end are. U do not wish to look out for them at all. Rather u are looking out for scintillating stories, which 2 Timothy 4:4 warns us about. First, did Jesus not say in Matthew 24:14 that a particular thing would be preached about before the end would come?

OP is confused. Who in 1 Thesselonians are the "they" who would declare "peace and safety"? OP said it's an ideological supremacy issue is the 3rd world war is and same is being fought to project ideological supremacy. Which means there is no peace and safety until the ideological war is won. So how is the rapture here when the peace and safety has not been declared, cos it's the declaration of peace and safety that heralds the rapture, according to OP. He forgot or doesn't even know what ideology is being pursued. OP seems to forget that United nations building has an inscription of Isaiah 2:2, which says war would no more be and swords would be beaten into ploughs. This is an ideology of world peace. As soon as they (UN) believe that they have achieved world peace, then sudden destruction would come upon them. Is the sudden destruction the rapture? The book of Revelation tells us that asides this declaration of peace, another event must occur before the end comes. That event is th destruction of false religion (babylon the great). Until that occurs, we cannot say the end has come, but it is not in doubt that we are in last part of the end times.
