RomanceRe: My Boyfriend Always Dodges Responsibilities by davidif: 9:10am On Feb 06, 2017
Curioussme:
Hi peeps, I've been dating this guy for almost 4 years now, and I've noticed when I need a major financial assistance from him, he'll just enter low key and be giving flimsy excuses like he doesn't have plans for me.

The most recent one that happened is that I need to pay my rent and the money with me isn't enough he's also giving excuses that he has commitments.

Sincerely, am tired of these excuses, I can't imagine getting married to a man who can't support me while am single what will he now do when we're married. He acts like someone who dodges responsibilities by all means.

Am confused right now,is he just a stingy person or what? The last time I needed money from him, I had to quarrel with him about it before he finally gave me money Guys pls help me out
Since when was it your boyfriends respinsibility to provide you with rent money.? Man, naija mentality sef

Allow them to celebrate their own thief in peace as it is done in the other part of the country.
Since when did two wrongs make a right? Why can't we all unite and condemn corruption be it from our tribe or elsewhere? Stealing is stealing whether it is in Hausa or in IBO.

This is one of the reasons why Nigeria is still poor. Its because of its difficulty attractting foreign investment because of the high levels of corruptiin. Who want to put there money in a country where they are not sure they can get it back.

So what are you trying to say? That we should praise him and roll out the welcome mat for him because of the corruption in Nigerian society ?

Talking about hypocrisy, hypocrisy is lynching and burning a common thief for stealing meat while your governor is looting millions that are meant to improve your state and the livelihood of millions.
Whatever happened to holding our leaders to a higher standard?

You seem to be intellectually impaired. A rejectee is someone who has been rejected. You claimed to have gotten admission into the school at your first attempt. It sounds like you opted not to enroll as a student of OAU. If that's the case how can you be an OAU REJECTEE if the school didn't reject you. Me calling you an OAU REJECT is a coined banter phrase.

So, you want a situation where the school hostel will be right beside your departmental building abi? Bro, you only criticised Great Ife for having adequate planning. In a normal school environment, the hostel shouldn't be where the theatres would be.
And what exactly is wrong with that? Chai! Naija mentality sef. Go abroad and you would see how schools are designed and how compact and organized some of them are. Na only in Naija you guys would defend the indefensible.

I understand op's frustration probably he wasn't resilient enough. He couldn't survive so he has to be eliminated (theory of natural selection).
Yes! OAU students/staff protest to demand for their right and that right things should be done and in most cases lead to strike. Remenber, "the man dies in you if you keep silent in the face of tyranny". Despite the strikes I spent 6 yrs 7 mths for a six-session course which also takes an average of 6yrs 6mths in a 'strikeless' uni like unilorin.

For your info, don't ever lay your hands on any child!
How about leave it to the teachers or the principal of the school to decide that. Trust me, teaching kids is hard and until you've ever had to do that it would be difficult to judge. I once had to tutor a small number of kids and it was then i truly realized how tough it was. Now imagine a whole classroom.

What should happen is that when teachers are being hired there should be a proper screening process so as to eliminate the "hotheads" and the sadists while allowing those with the right temperament, motivations and qualifications through. Then the teachers should be taught other techniques on how to engage heady students and how not to lose control in academic setting.

So removing the threat or the possibility of flogging will completely rend the teacher powerless and completely unproductive. Its almost like taking away guns from law enforcement.

I'm not just understanding again.
I'm not a fan of beating as punishment in schools, so it should be officially banned from schools.
Children that misbehave to warrant beating should be suspended, or made to clean school premises or something.
How about leave it to the teachers or the principal of the school to decide that. Trust me, teaching kids is hard and until you've ever had to do that it would be difficult to judge.

Also, suspensions barely work in a lot of cases. Come over here in the U.S and you would see what i am talking about. What should happen is that teachers should be properly screened and the "hotheads" eliminated while the good ones would be properly trained on how to control a classroom atmosphere so as to prevent disruptive elements (bad students) from taking over the class.

Removing the threat or the possibility of flogging will completely rend the teacher powerless. Its like taking away guns from law enforcement.

'cos people says there is much probability that i'll find him or is it going to be a whole lot of trouble. most time when male peolple come over my place, my baby clings to them and you can read expression in his face like, he knows he should have a father or when visitors come with their kids, he gets moody with me by stayin away and doesn't eat. now everything seems mean to me 'cos it's hard raising him.
Sis you contact him yet?

Stop making sweeping generalizations about an entire group of people that number in the millions. Its too simplistic and frankly intellectual laziness. Each individual is different and should be treated as such.

She lied big time, I'm yoruba and serving in Awka South LG , Anambra State. The people here are very friendly to us and there are so many yoruba Muslims here living their life and never being harassed by anybody. A Muslim corper served at my PPA last year a Missionary boarding school, and she was given an accommodation to live with the students in the school. She had a wonderful service year in the state. Even in camp they gave hijabi sisters and Malo girls special treatment
The fact that you didn't witness or experience the same thing does not mean that it didn't happen to someone else. We don't all have the same experiences.

Bostwana broke off from SA and became the best economy in Africa, India broke off from Pakistan and wia re dey now.

Most times its good to look ahead.
As for bin with Nija, Dia is no benefit. We re monoculture and non violent, we'd make it
Well first of all, Pakistan was partitioned from India by the British upon independence, it did not break off from India.

Secondly, Pakistan is still a very poor country facing significant challenges in illiteracy, healthcare, corruption, terrorism and incredible levels of poverty and inequality while India is one of the fastest growing economies in the world.

Thirdly, Botswana was a colony of Great Britain and won its independence from them in 1966. It did not "break off" from South Africa.

Oga, join with before u get disappointed at old age. Forget all the preachers of peace, wen e happen, all man go answer him papa name.
Let me tell you the story about an African nation named Sudan. You see, those in the Southern part of the country had been clamoring for separation for years because of the injustices against them and the domination from the North.

The thinking was that the solution to what was going on in Sudan was for the Southerners to be allowed to leave and form there own new country which they did. It was called South Sudan.

Now fast forward to present day and the newly formed country is in the midst of a brutal civil war. It turns out that they turned on each other along tribal lines and just like when they were still in Sudan they have turned to genocide.

This begs the question, why is it that Africans can't solve there problems amicably without resorting to violence? Why do they let their leaders divide them along ethnic lines? Why are a lot of Africans so ruled by their emotions (especially anger) and are so quick to turn on each other over every single slight? Why do the people easily turn to outbursts of anger and violence when things don't go there way? Why can't they put the past behind them instead of always bringing it up and using it to fuel more conflict? why do they like making decisions based on emotions instead of logic or reason?

And most importantly, why can't they learn to accept there differences and learn to live side by side with each other? We are in the 21st century for goodness sakes and we are still fighting each other? Are the racists right that the only thing we are good at his violence and disease after all that's what they see when they watch stuff about Africa. It seems that everyone is going forward except for us?

RomanceRe: Guys, Can You Marry A Lady With 2 Kids From Different Men? by davidif: 1:32pm On Feb 03, 2017
AmuDimkpa:
I hardly comment on these topics but I will give you this piece of advice. NEVER marry a single mum. I repeat, NEVER marry a single mum. I am telling you this from experience. The issue is not because she has a child, no. The issue is that there will be so much drama. If the kids don't like you, then you are in for a long ride. Also, the lady will definitely give more attention to those kids than you. The cost of trying to win the kids over and many other things are not worth it bro. Forget relationships, marriage is a totally different ball game. My apologies to single mums but this is just the way it is. All the best.
Please someone should frame this post. It seems that a lot of people on here giving advice have never been in one before so they are talking nonsense.
