The guy I picked yesterday night to Ikeja on 1.9. He didn't come out of the event centre until after about 15 mins paid waiting. Trip ended 6600. Na so Alaye dey para. That what he saw was less than that. He did 6k. I jejely told him he must complete the money. He gave me 500 naira as balance. I still asked for my 100 naira balance. This was a guy who expected me to do 120kph and compete with pilots on my 3rd mainland bridge.

After paying the 100 naira, Alaye was like: Oga you too kala o. In my mind, you too ka alubosa.

Next time make request only when you re ready.

Another idiot rider made a request on 1.9x at Igbo Efon axis around evening time. After arriving, I called her. She said she was coming. 10 mins after, she called that she would see me now. On the dot of 18 mins paid waiting she cancelled. I saw her out come out. Checked my car and booked again. I moved away from her. Request came to me 4 times and I made sure she cancel all.

After the last cancellation, she called my line and started asking me if I was not going. I sha told her my mind. ALWAYS BOOK Ride ONLY WHEN YOU Re READY.
I guess she was blocked after the 5th cancellation. Na so I get another request on 1.9. These ones too delayed close to 20 mins before they came out.

The moment you waste my time waiting, and your fare goes up, no mercy.

Hitting this debt threshold for the first time yesterday. I actually paid them in the morning forgetting that payments are not attended to on weekends.

Thanks to some advice got here that helped reduce it coupled with their bonus.

Don't be too worried about bolt rating. It is never stable. Just stay focused on what you re doing, and making sure you limit the number of rider you confront on some issues.

As per bolt removing trip, I guess is another way to make sure you don't win their bonus. I have experienced it twice now. In fact, yesterday they removed 2 of my trips as well as the hours. I badly needed that bonus to drop my debt profile.

Just strive to do more than the target given.

Please what can I do to increase my rating, I think bolt app is not working well. Despite riders giving me 5 star, my rating refuse to come up o. They sent message to me 3 days ago that my rating is low and send tips on how to improve on it.

Also, many times they don't include all my trips, I might have done 8 trips but on my app it will be showing 5 trips. This has made me lost some bonuses.
Please gurus in the house...help.

Lastly how do I report a rider or an issue to bolt? Please help with the email.

Essence of this thread is for us to learn. If you keep allowing riders to change destinations, you will keep cheating yourself. And you can keep it to yourself too. Peace.

I suspected. But the app updated when the rider change destination. It was on throughout the waiting period till I took him back. Or are they thinking we didn't move out? Even that, the total time up there should be more than what they offered. Funny enough, they have taken their commission.

Except on correct surge, NEVER allow rider change destination. Always insist to 3nd the first trip.

Bolt is just too cheap for my liking! In a bid to win the competition and get all Nigerians patronise them massively to the detriment of hard working drivers, they make executive trips too cheap and in the long run, it will affect them. Uber will never charge this low!

Anyways, just report to bolt. It's not as if they will do anything!

They give bonuses to riders and at the end, they use abracadabra to give you back. Riders refuse to pay, you complain to bolt, they tell you they will compensate. Wey the money? It has reflected in your App! Wayo people! Why not transfer it to my acct direct. At times when I end trip and see the amount, I get so discouraged! Na like this we go take hit the 1million ba?

I get plenty transfer story, but let me tell this one that happened Two weeks ago.

I was at Osapa around 6pm, hoping to get a ride to my destination (surulere) so I can close for the day.

I checked Indriver and saw a trip #5,550 around Ikate bust stop (3rd round about), I clicked on it to check destination and it was showing me somewhere around Alakuko (after abule egba). I jejely closed it back. But going through available trips, I saw that the #5,550 trip have De Heaven's Agungi as destination. I opened it again and it's still showing me Alakuko area, but I know the actual De Heaven's in Agungi.

I decided to accept the trip and call the rider to confirm her actual destination, she said Agungi.

I rushed down to pickup oh!
A guy now drove her to the Estate gate, she entered my car and the guy went back inside.

I was hoping she will say something about the price but she didn't, and kept my cool and drove to destination without even arriving on the app.

Trip lasted for 17mins because of traffic on Lekki Epe express.
Time to pay, she asked me how much.

Me: 5,550
Rider: call your account number
(still didn't say anything about the price, cos I was even ready to collect 2k. Cos even with 1.9 surge on Bolt that trip can't reach 2k.)

I called out my account number.

Few seconds later.
Rider:Done. (she now showed that USSD notification that say transfer successful) and was about leaving the car.

But my mind no carry am.
How can you just transfer 5,550 for a trip that should be #700 without complaining?

Me: Have you been debited?
Rider: yes.

Me: can I see?
Rider: I haven't been debited, but you'll get it.

Me: let's wait for alert from either end. (her's or mine).
Rider: Okay.

We waited for 10mins, but no alert from both ends.

Rider: so what should we do now?
Me: you have to resend it, cos I must get alert before I leave here.

Rider: call your account number again.
Me: I did.

Rider: OH! It's telling me network error, I think it's from my bank.
Me: let's go to the ATM then.

Rider: my atm is broken I don't have any.
Me: use your app.

Rider: I don't Use app.
Me: you need to find an alternative, cos I must leave with my money.

Rider: Just forward your account number, I'll keep trying it. I promise to send your money.
Me: not today.

Rider: trust me, I will send it.
Me: I don't trust my riders anymore; from experience.

Rider: So what should we do now?
Me: let's go to the Hotel's reception so you drop something valuable there, when I see my money, I'll notify them to release it to you.

Rider: you're embarrassing me. I told you I'll send your money. What is 5k nauw?
Me: I just bust out of the car to search for any staff that can lead me to management.

Luckily for me, the person I approached happens to be the Hotel's manager. I narrated my case to him.
He then came to the lady to inquire about what the problem could be.
I happened that the girl have not even paid for the previous night she slept in the hotel, that the hotel have to seize her Luggage till when she pays.

After several back and forth, the Manager asked to go and count on him. That if she didn't pay, he will give me the money.
That's how I left.
Got a trip to surulere and closed for the day.

The manager called me 3 different times to confirm if she has don't it, but I haven't.
He said he has approached the girl several times and she has been giving different excuses. ( I have don't it, it got reversed, my network is bad, I will call someone to do it now).

The next morning, the guy called me more times to confirm, but the story is still the same. I even called the lady, she asked for my account number again. But I didn't still see anything.

Around 10am same day the manager now called me and said I should please come and collect my money anyway I want it oh! That he's tired and want to take himself off the case. I parrah give am small but we got to understand ourselves.

I dressed up and started looking for a trip to the island and luckily got one. (this was a Saturday).

Got there, called the lady to come down, but she refused.
Called the manager, he went up to the lady's room and opened it with the mastercard before she agreed to come down.

The guy now transfered us to the CSO(chief security officer) of the Hotel.

She started giving stories again ( bank issue, someone will send it, someone will send to me and I will now send to you). Contradicting stories.

I know raked on her, but people calmed me down. The now ask her to send it now.
For over 40mins, we were just by the pool side, and she was just calling different people to send money to her.

I calmly asked to Check her phone and she gave me. That's how I seized it.
Gave it to the CSO to hold and release it to her when ever I get my money. He refused and called the manager. Manager also refused. That the ball is on my Court. I should take any decision I want.
That's how I started walking away with the phone oh!

People now begged me to give her 10mins more before I make my final decision. So I gave her the phone back.

3mins later, I got alert oh!

That's the girl below, making frantic effort to raise the money.

Na to dey jam dem for road very soon.

I ended a trip and the fair was 3300. The rider gave me 3000 and refused to pay me the remaining 300.

I have decided to let go not until I saw my rating dropped from 7.8 to 6.8. What happened? Rider asked me to beat the traffic light because others were doing so at Ikorodu but I refused since the traffic light was working very well. So, they felt I wasted their time and then decided to withhold my 300 and give me one star.

I can't lose both ways, so I reported underpayment to Bolt and was compensated with 1650.

For those that don't know. The traffic lights at Ikorodu have cameras installed. You may not see any warden there, but your car is being captured.

They said Ogun Lagos resident to avoid story like this. Imagine you coming all the way from Ondo. Sorry.

Wetin Musa no go see for gate. Picked this lady today on 1.9. My first rider. She complained of the surge, that she had been waiting for it to go down for about 1 hour. Fast forward, I took her to her place in Agungi. Trip ended 1600. She paid.

About 3 hours later, she called complaining that she saw 200 paid waiting in her invoice. I was just speechless. She actually wasted time. But small. I recall her paid waiting wasn't up to 5 mins May be why twas just the 200 naira. las las I asked her to contact bolt. No be me dey calculate the fare.

My first trip today at around 8:00 am. Accepted request, picked her up at Atimbo, Unical as destination. After ending the trip and bill was #700, she asked me to give her few minutes to just pick an item at her department and return her to PU point. I went offline to Wait for her, after like 8 minutes I called her and she requested I send my account details to her to transfer the fund. I did that and went online immediately. I got another request and left. Till now, she has not paid and had rejected my calls for more than 50 times. Pure wickedness
