Ndyoo: What's the quantity of materials that you can import on aliexpress without having problems then? Also, there are certain things that can't pass NIGERIAN Customs when importing via AliExpress. Be sure to verify prohibited Items. I'll share images of what I've purchased from AliExpress last week, that we're expecting latest 12th January, 2021. They're mostly items for building

Enyinne: No quantity is prohibited but for bulk buying using alibaba is cheaper as AliExpress is mainly resellers . For easy import, using a Nigerian agent in China is best that is if ur not buying up to 20ft or 40ft . So they ship it as groupage . The manufacturing company will call them and state ur quantity and they will in return give u a shipping quote for ur consideration. Pls make sure u know how to scan alibaba to avoid buying inferior goods . You're very correct on this. Retail purchases suits AliExpress, but bulk is better done via Alibaba |

Lighting, sockets etc Once of the reasons why our project can be completed and we move in this December is that most of the lights, switches, DB that I ordered since March, 2020 are yet to be delivered. I can visit Lagos but I don't think I can live in Lagos. The recklessness of the people in that state is beyond me Yes, there are a lot of reckless people driving on Lagos Roads, but we still have sane people. If you can survive Lagos Hustle and bustle, you can survive any where in the world. Notice that most Police Commissioners that served in Lagos always end up becoming IG, until Buhari came. A case in point is Mike Okiro and MD Abubakar. That rugged life makes people thick |

EgunMogaji2: Am I the only one that haven’t ordered yet from AliExpress? Sigh. Baba, try to download the app o. There's things that would interest you, as 60% or more of the items we use in Nigeria are imported from China. You'll find items there cheaper than what you'll get them in Nigeria. For instance, the POP Ceiling light (AKA Rope Light) in Nigeria sells for about ₦10,000. But if your order from Aliexpress, it's less than ₦5,000 just that it would arrive between 14-21 days |

Very little or nothing had been said so far on the seller you (most likely) deliberately short delivered, and wrote a wrong figure on the receipt. May God bless you. Yes buyer may sometimes get carried away, but why will you collect ₦1,533,000 and issue a receipt of ₦1,397,000? When will dishonesty end in Nigeria? When? Good morning to all builders, potential builders and contractors in the house.
What's your take on the announcement by CBN that Naira value would still fall versus Dollars in January?
This in my opinion will lead to another price increment of building materials, as many people even with old stock can take advantage.
This can further delay construction completion.
Not a good outlook at all

Dijita: Thank you for your response. I agreed that the posting was wrong and ought to be called out. However, those who called it out seems to be looking for something to fight about. Some of the same people asking for apology are the one making tribal insults. That is the reason I asked if you follow the thread. The posts of the people asking for apology indicates to me that they are probably people engaging in tribal fights all over the places and they are looking for their contemporary Yoruba types to turn this thread into another shit show as was the case in politics section. Since most people here are not into aimless fight hence the silence. |
