Can you share one experience of such that makes you know this?

I started out in life with a sense of inadequacy. Wrote Jamb 3ce before admission into school, was dissatisfied with my 1st degree, so I went back. Scoured the streets for sometime before I got a job, facing daily challenges (like you) but not giving up. Not living my dream yet but my struggle continues. I believe that tomorrow will be better for us all even though the pain is immense right now.
Without a sense of hope, there's little to live for.
Lord hear my prayer!

Start by looking at the many blessings you've already been bestowed with, which you probably don't see. You have gifts despite your situation.
Realise that you must start from where you are and the journey self improvement is a daily battle.
To be a man, there are multiple challenges you'd face and success with the opposite gender is only one of those.
Like some posters said, go out, meet people, read books, and keep hustling.
Lastly, the grass always seems greener on the other side.

I'm sure they are sweet and sour moments in marriage, but it often looks like a routine life of drudgery.



Please inquire for the sake of a fun conversation and connection with your folks the next time you visit or see one of them. It gives them pleasure to talk about their lives and experiences, before they ever became parents. Parenting is a tough and hard job, it doesn't hurt to bring back pleasant memories of what their lives were like prior to marriage and kids. You can actually learn a lot and understand them better too.

For instance I learnt that my mother was a gorgeous babe, my father and one other guy were hot on her case for marriage but she chose my dad. I wondered what life would have been like if she chose the other guy. One of my aunties (my mother's sister) once said it may have been a lot sweeter/better if she chose the other guy, because the other guy wasn't a first born child with lots of siblings looking to him for their survival, which made sense to me. Life with my father wasn't bad at all but when your finances are being pulled in numerous directions due to lazy and entitled siblings it starts to take a toll.

I haven't and I bet most of us never did. I was the last born and dint bother myself with those tales.

Welcome to the real world, Young man, but I can see that despite the circumstances, you're doing well for yourself. What I believe you need is the self assurance that you'll succeed at some point, because most folks around you (believe it) don't even have a fraction of your talent or the opportunities that present you.
Keep your head up and continue to strive for the success that you'll become eventually.

Most bad news seems to emanate from Ogun these days.
At times, it sounds as if those who couldn't take the Lagos heat move out to the border towns in Ogun to vent their frustration on the innocent.

If I'm correct, the 2008 Civic is the one that has a 'Stealthy' look and so not commonly done in 9ja, so you'll need a reputable person to help you deal with the electrics while you source for the dashboard

Poverty and extreme hunger walk on 2 feet in these parts of the world.
