I believe this is true, but I don't see this as good news. Foolish Igbo people in the North. Haven't they learned from past events? I swear Igbos who live in the North are DUMB DUMB DUMB. That include members of my family are just too dumb, and want to continue to live in Northern Nigerian.
WHy are they dumb? They are in the place to get a means of livelihood. sbeezy8: Jos , Kano Kaduna,Niger Alot of northern states actually has A LARGE percentage of yoruba but you will NEVER find yoruba congragating under the axis of Being "yoruba" or trying to show they are BIGGER than the indignes- most yoruba people I know who've lived in the North never thought about living in the East.
For some Odd reason I know for a fact a yoruba person would rather live in Kano,Kaduna, etc than live in ANY part of the East.
you must be kidding voter population is just like that of the actual population. Unless youre saying Ibos registered to vote more than the Hausa-fulanis including the MANY Almirijis who registered aswell. ANyone who has lived in the North before would know that Yorubas especially people from my town are there in large numbers. Especially Plateau-Nasarawa State. If you have lived in Jos you in some parts you might actually think you are in a Yoruba town and the thing is the Yorubas blend with the local population some even change their names and adopt the host citizenship. E.g While in Bauchi State as a Youth Corper, I was flogging the students and cussed one in Yoruba that he didnt brush his mouth A student whom I assumed was Hausa just replied me in Yoruba (Hausa accented). I asked him how he knew and he told me his family name is Abraham Oyelami but changed it Abraham Sunday to suit their host community and claim Bauchi citizenship. I even heard that one NFA bigshot either Amos Adamu or Sani Toro is actually a Yorubaman naturalised into the North. Even my own grandparents had to take up Northern names while living in the North |

Eziachi: Some of you can be fooled but not me. How many of you knew about Jonathan Igbo names until few months ago because of election? We don't owe Jonathan anything. When the Abachas were about to make a mince meat of Ebitu Ukiwe and he was forced to resign where was our so called brothers then? Guess what ! they were celebrating his demice because the next day Aikomu took over his position and likes of Mike Akhigbe got promoted. This emergency friendship will come back to bite many of you in a couple of months after the election. What elders see sitting down . . , |

PapaBrowne: 40% is high for the whole of Kano state. I would suppose something in the region of 25%. Most Igbos in Kano are located in Kano City, hence giving them 40% of the whole state would mean they constitute much more than half of all the votes in the city. That can't be accurate. However, Igbos by a large margin are the second largest ethnic group in any city in Nigeria after the indigenous groups. Their size is definitely capable of turning the tables in any tight election. Are you sure of that part in bold? Take a city like Jos for example. The owners are Beroms. You mean Ibos would be more than Hausas in Jos? PapaBrowne: Is that a confirmation that Buhari's CPC voters are violence personified and would be in the waiting to "lynch" any Igbo voters that venture out to vote for GEJ?? Would that be a response to Buhari's call to lynch "elections riggers" which those illiterate Almajiri's have naturally assume to be any Igbo that votes against Buhari?? My guy, isn't your position just enough reason why no non Hausa should find himself in the Buhari camp?? Pathetic reasoning in the face of reality!! Are Igbos in Kano planning to rig? Your Lynching is for those who rig, Unless Ibos are planning to rig they have nothing to fear |

^^ Statistics of eligible voters always mirror the demographics of the state unless you are saying
1.There are more Igbos over 18 than other tribes
2. Igbos registered en masse while other tribes did not.

Try and be reasonable for a momemt.
You are saying they are millionaires
WHy wont Jerry Useni FCT minister under Abacha, Oladipo Diya VP under Abacha, David mark current Senate President be millionaires
No one said they were millionaires, But Buhari curbed their corrupt tendencies while in Govt. It was after Buhari left before those that stole were able to steal anything. |

If Igbos are like 35% in Plateau a multi ethnic state, that easily makes them the majority
I am interested in how many percent Yorubas, Hausas, Beroms, Angas and other middle belt tribes make.
How come they are not politically dominant there?
Same goes for Kano, Kaduna etc. In Kaduna thats multi ethnic if Ibos are 30% how many are Hausa, Katafs, Yorubas Fulanis.
If they can be 40% in a far away state like kano I bet they should be like 90% in neighbouring Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta and Cross River |

And far more disgusting is the fact that people who have been on this forum for longer periods, people like debosky and dudu, whose comments I enjoy reading, don't have the nerve to call this Hannie to order. But when I start to exchange words with hannie, they say I am the one been vitriolic. Better tell hannie to shut up before he totally messes our fine thread up. MUNICH (AP)—Bayern Munich says it plans to travel to Japan after the Bundesliga season ends to play a charity match for victims of the earthquake and tsunami that hit the country.
Last season’s German champion and Champions League finalist said Tuesday that it is still consulting with the Japanese football federation on a date for the match.
It didn’t specify who the opponent would be but said it has suggested the week between May 17-25 as a possible time for the trip.
The club says it wanted to show solidarity with the Japanese people. Chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge says Bayern will pay for all its travel costs and all takings from the match will go to victims of the disaster. http://sports.yahoo.com/soccer/news?slug=ap-bayern-japan-charitymatch |
