Politics › Re: Are Militants Fighting For Development Of Niger Delta Or Themselves? by dblock(m): 11:41am On Feb 02, 2007
Finally someone who has the same perspectie as me. I've said this in a couple of threads before, The government may have neglected the region and they may not be in a position to condemn, but the militants of the Niger Delta are seriously not representing the region but hoping that the government will give in and install them as the default government of the region, which of course no Nigerian president will do wether it's Abacha or Nnamdi Azikwe, or Gowon or OBJ, the day that the Government give in completely is the day that pigs will fly
Politics › Re: Will Yar'adua Win The Next Coming Election? by dblock(m): 11:32am On Feb 02, 2007
Yar' Adua won't be the best leader but I think he's a better guy than Buhari, Atiku, IBB and Co. I predict if he wins he'll rule a tiny bit better than OBJ. Nigeria is having so much strife right now, Nigeria needs a tough leader.

Travel › Re: London Is Not The Paradise I Expected by dblock(m): 6:30am On Feb 02, 2007
See people have misunderstod my posts. The UK is a developed place with good infrastructure and well maintained road etc., but I don't like the atmosphere of the place, the weather and all, it's just too much for me, it's not my kind of place, I prefer places like Nigeria where happiness can be there despite hardship, you know the tropical climate and all. I can go to the UK but i can't live there that's all wink
Travel › Re: London Is Not The Paradise I Expected by dblock(m): 6:21am On Feb 02, 2007
Why y'all dissing Uk/London? u lot need to shut up!
@dblock, you need to show us where you’ve built, before you start criticizing.  Someone like you does not know jack nada that's why you keep babbling,
@Seun, what makes u think that the tax people pay equals tuition for their Education.   People in UK do not complain about paying Taxes, they all know that the Tax that they pay benefits them one way or the other. Also, UK is the only country that helps family financially if they cannot afford to send their children to University. And when I was in college, I was paid given money every week just for attending college.  And they help families that live in poverty.
@walelead, i live in Abbey wood, my house is not far from Thamesmead.  About 90% of Nigerians own their own house in UK.
Well the important thing is that you are happy with your place of residence, I personally couldn't live in the Uk, but hey we're different. Hey your stats are hilarious I'll post them to the comedy chanel. Anyways peace even if you dey for london grin

PS. Oh yeah, the only place in the world which I haven't dissed is Nigeria, God bless Naija and oh yeah Dubai God bless the UAE

For ya information, the water levels in thedams in Ghana aren't as high as they ought to be and stuff. This is only the first face sha, it's a west african powerpool, NIgeria cameroun benin Togo and the rest will benefit from it also, 80 megawaats is just atiny part of the powerpool we are tlaking 2000 to 7000 megawatts, here maye even 20,000. Congo has the best chances of hydroelectricty

Post-modern architecture and Art Deco are not the same thing. The Art Deco movement died about sixty years ago
No shit. But Art Deco is industrial and stuff so the movement was the begining of post modernism I believe, take the Chrysler Building or thw woolworths centre(Now the Sony building), This Art Deco buildings sparked the begining of post modernism. But my point is this kind of arhitecture is more pleasing to the eyes, well at least my eyes than brick apartments piled up aginst each other, It's almost as depressing as Newyork Midtown
