What am saying is that it hasn't been this bad before under Wike's tenure, and I know that, shortly, these would be cleared, no need for this snear campaign, almost all cities in Nigeria experiences something like this at one point or the other.

For Those of you referring to the previous Governor's Tenure and the Incumbent in terms of Sanitation, let non of you think that, we have short memory, we know how long dirts stayed on the streets of PortHarcourt especially after the 2015 General elections untill May 29th when the new Government was inaugurated because, contracts were not paid. Any one in doubt, should cross check the facts, in my Rivers State why I don't usually discuss on issues like this is that, everything is highly politicized. And the person that posted this simply did it just to snear the image of the Governor even when he knew it hasn't been like this before, and that the Agency in charge was undergoing a transition. On this issue of receptacles been constructed or not, my brothers and sisters let's always maintain truth, some good number of receptacles were constructed between 2019 and 2020 in Rivers State, anyone who doubts should come I would take you round at least 10 within Rumuokoro, Rumuodomaya, Rukpokwu and Eliozu, but the problem is that some Nigerians for reasons best known to them refuse to throw garbage into them, rather drop them on the roads, or the demarcations.

Mr complainer mentioning ADP dump site, is the Dump site too full? Is that how the site use to be? I was discussing with someone this morning when I was driving through Rumuokoro Round about that, these dirts don't usually stay on the road like this, especially since 2015 Wike became Governor, is it that the contractors are not involved again or what? But I have read a post here that confirmed the fact that, the Governor terminated the contracts of the contractors and ordered LGAs to take over. Well let's see how it goes, but I know for sure that, it hasn't happened like this since 2015, and I know something will be done about it, very very soon, this is just barely a week it began. Because I littered Garbage on the ADP dump site just on Sunday and the refuse hip wasn't that much just between Sunday and Thursday that it increased like that.

If he is from the zones that hasn't/ is supposed to produce the Governor of the state, he looks like the next Governor of Abia State. Since his principal hasn't done anything to stop him uptil now, then he looks good to go.

You know you are not a saint either, as a civil servant in Rivers State, Wike's Government have not paid gratuity, agreed, it hasn't promoted workers agreed, neither has he employed new workers.
But your position is baised, tell us the last time gratuity was paid in Rivers State. That was 2012, tell us the last time promotion was carried out and implemented, that was 2011. So why pretend like the decay started in 2015.
Madam we cannot forget what you used Rivers workers to do in the name of agitation for better welfare, only for your Check-up dues to be approved, your Chickened out, and keep enjoying the largese with your Exco, we are aware of your political divide, and baise, please take a neutral stand if you really want to fight for the Workers. As for we in Rivers State, we know you belong to the APC and that is part of the problem you have/ having with the present government in the State. Please stay neutral and do your job Ma.

I served in Elebele Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, Batch B, 2011-2012. We hadn't all that a fine lodge, but it was manageable, some corpers resided at the lodge, while me and others who were willing sourced for accommodation around town, got mildly comfortable place and served the country merritorously.
We had to erect and complete a one room apartment for the corper leader, from the cash generated from our CDS. So think what you can do to make yourself comfortable.
Note: not all part of Bayelsa has uninhabitable corpers lodge, some places have very comfortable lodge. Like Nembe, Emeyal, Ogbia, Imiringi not to even mention Brass....so stop generalizing because even some LGAs and areas in this country don't even have residence or accommodation for corpers.

Northern Nigeria has more graduates and Professors than South Africa. The real problem is not as Southerners paint it and you echo it like empty halls. 


Practically, millions of Northerners are either unemployed, misemployed, or underemployed. Our problem is our chances are blocked and our resources dominated by Southerners who paint the wrong picture for fools to believe them.


75% of  government spending is connered by Southerners via the domination of salary earning, contracts, projects, bail outs and other interventions. Trade and industries are dominated by Southerners who have easy access to multi billion credit facilities courtesy their domination of state financial structure and instruments and institutions. 


Every ministry is dominated by them. All our markets are monopolized by them due to their control of capital that enable them to finance business and take more risk due to ease of acces to money. They conrol their markets by regular disruptuons of our businesses officially and by direct frequent violence unofficially. Their control of and easy access to liquidity enable them to be more enerprising business wise. They buy our goods cheap and sell theirs exorbitantly.


To preserve the exploitative status quo they spread false verson of the reality. They centralize oil as the main source of wealth so that our attention will be far away from other sources of wealth they dominate.

Oil is less than 10% of  Nigeria's GDP. They tell us we are the parasite and we are lazy and we are uneducated to instil a sense of guilt, self hate and inadequacy in us. We swallow all these falsehood uncritcally because we made our source of daily information their media and books. They over concentrate on our weaknesses and ignore almost completely their own weaknesses. An average Southerner having mild cold will almost by default blame it on Northerners and will not lack northerners who "speak the truth" to agree with him.


How can uneducated people have multitude of unemployed graduates? How can lazy people be producig the food of the nation? Why do millions of Southerners troop to the poor parasitic North and refuse leave? The south said so and it is?


What we need is a  political economic solution. We must take control of our local markets, our institutions and our businesses in their land must be given due attention and protection and any act of disruption by way of constant destruction must be paid back in due measure without listening to their victimship outcries. They fear separation more than us because their weak economic foundation, especially the west entirely dependent on controlling  government resources.


We must ask and take our fair share of every government employment at whatever cost. No people has ever prospered when their resources, oppurtunities and chances are blocked and dominated by others.  Our constant preachment of peace must stop: justice and and equity must be our new slagon. 


The real problem is believing in the propaganda of the enemies which saps our resourcefulness and infuse our senses with feelings of backwardness that really do not exist, or are caused by false perception. The greatest defeat one can suffer is to see oneself as projected by one's enemies. 


Almajiri is system suffocated by lack of finance. Poverty is a direct result of economic domination and exclusion. Degrees are not unavailable. Marrying four wives will not stop as it is never a problem but a great social system. Once we assert control on what is rightly ours, that self concious timidity will evaporate and be replaced by confidence and bold enterprise. Up to the Seventies we were the richest people in Africa. As the central government grows and  takes control of resources our wealth progressively dwindles. As the southerners intensify drums of hate and aggression we draw back to give peace, that is never forthcoming, a chance.


Try asking for propotionate representation in all government employment in all institutions and at all levels, they will cry out about mediocrity supplanting merit as if those half literates southerners dominating the place are Einstein incanates. Or they will blackmail you with Islamization.


Try treating their traders in our markets as they treat ours and they will cry xenophobia as if the regular denial of market space, heavy taxation, constant disruption of business and officially sanctioned harrassment of our traders in their land does not exist.


Try replacing Southern union leaders and foreign sponsored NGOs operating in the North with our own people and they will start wailing about marginalization.


Well, their era of dominance and false propaganda is coming to an end with the coming of age of young northerners who could no longer accept marginalization because of blackmail or threat. These new bold Northern youth have seen how southerners cowered when asked to leave the North two years ago. Their cries for secession are empty ruse. 


We will be better off without them and they will definitely be worse off without us. They know we lack nothing, while their millions selling substandard, fake good, drugs and inrdinately high interest bank loans fleecing the north and feeding on cheap food and services will have nothing on returning back home. Their franchise firms and industries will lose over 100 million costumers overnight which is more than their home market demand. 


Soon we will ask for equity or call it quit. We know who we are and we know our strength.

Such a long epistle but is didn't take me time to read it. Because am interested to be joined in your argument. Without much a do, I will like us to start this issue of correcting the injustice and subjugation of the North as you claim by immediately ending two things.

The quota system of Educational cut-off marks and allowing a level playing field for all students irrespective of the Goepolitical zone, also I want us to also extend that to employment in the MDAs without any interference. Let all be given equal opportunity to jostle for available positions and be taken on merit without any traditional or religious leader being of influence.

You claimed that the Southerners have taken over your markets, without addent refusal to leave, even in faces of obvious intemidation, shouldn't that be an advantage for you to allow every state collect it's value added tax, since the tax is levied on every good(s) consumed, and considering the fact that, the Southerners are known for Luxurious and ostentatious lifestyle, it should be a plus. But instead you have been writing long epistles since days kicking against it. A clear sign that you might be hypocritical in your assertions and write up.

If I might also get you Right, you claimed that, oil contributes about ten (10) percent to the Gross Domestic Product GDP of Nigeria while which other resource owned by the North contributes the remaining percent with the south engaging in mainly illicit activities. Okay let me buy into your argument. Let the North allow the South to be wallowing in their decit and continue to decieve themselves. Let the North seek for resource control and leave the South to control their few resources too.

Please let's be honest. I am from the south south. The reason the oil compaines moved to Lagos was due to insecurity. Was it not their oyibo workers that were being kidnapped a few years ago. It was getting to the point were Oyibo executives were refusing posting to Nigeria. We in the south south did ourselves, we can't blame Yoruba for this.

You are not feeling the South South, or you are just not in terms with reality. Tell me that part of Nigeria where oil workers wasn't kidnapped. How many have been kidnapped in Akwa Ibom since Exon Mobil started existing there, how many NLNG workers have been kidnapped from there Head office in PortHarcourt. It is either you are among those that have been conqured by supremacy agenda, or among those that think that political subjugation and submission could save you from the hatred and injustice been melted out to the Delta. You are not from Rivers State, or you are not fully aware of your environment, this road is a section of the old Enugu-Aba-PortHarcourt high way. It has been under construction since 2013, the Section from Umuahia to Enugu was awarded to Setraco, while the Section from Umuahia to Aba was been handled by Arab Contractors. What was done at the section from Aba to PH was a redesign which saw the Road been Awarded to China Civil, and they
Have been at this stretch of the road since late 2015, even despite that, the Road hasn't crossed Intels Main gate at the same section of that road, which is not even up to 2km. Secondly according to the redesign, there is supposed to be a fly-over bridge at Oyigbo Junction. Which Haven't been started at all. I don't really know the intention of the Op here. Neither do I know why he is calling it a 10 lane road when where as it not. Nawa for this una Nairaland ooo. So so Lies.

It was a strategic error not advancing the rail project. For all it is worth, the problem is not the project but the administration. In this I give credit to the Buhari led Federal Government in that they advanced and completed a lot of projects inherited from the PDP government some of which were badly administered and shrouded in corruption. They pressed on warts and all.

We must find a way to effect a continuum in project delivery across governments if we are to develop as a nation no matter how badly these projects were hitherto administered. If not we will fall to the temptation of tunnel vision and short term projects which in most cases do not address critical issues or spur real development.

I am certain if Wike had deployed his infrastructural budget to advancing this rail line instead of those flyovers along the PHC/ABA highway at least a section will have been functional by now to provide a lasting solution to the road congestion. Rail lines anywhere in the world are the go-to solutions for urban mobility.

Mr, use your Google and check how many project Wike inherited from the past administration that he completed. You guys should limit saying what you don't Know and make some research(s).

One wonders how many here, are lashing out at Amaechi for the perceived staggering amount budgeted for the project and thus technically commending Wike for non continuity. Forgetting that it's commonwealth and well-being at loss. Same will criticize Sanwo for completing only Ambode's projects and yet to kickstart his own. Even Bubu as erratic as he is, completed many past administration's projects. Wike is not showing tact and brinkmanship doing this!

When I Read certain comments on Nairaland about the Rail Project, I can't help it but laugh. The request I have to make from some of you staying far away from Rivers State, is to either make a visit to the site or Google when this project was begun and the Kilometers covered within this period. And then compare that with the Billions spent. For the purpose of Record, this project was executed for almost 5years and the distance the work covered could be sighted standing at the same spot, and the then Governor said, 50Billion has already been spent. Hmmmm on just how many pillars and steels?
