I don't see how since Wike handpicked him into office. When he wins an election on his own, then you can talk about that.
Wike handpicked him into office,,

Now he's refusing to obey Wike and then Wike had to discreetly run to Tinubu.

Now Tinubu can control Fubara but Wike cannot control Fubara, a man he handpicked into office.

If you can't decipher how this is embarrassing to Wike, then you need more intelligence and discretion.

He will rather be foolish to do so.

Are we going to go over this again? Why do you think the resolutions are being implemented in the first place? Does he have what it takes to do otherwise? In analysis, context is key. The individual in question is a novice in this sphere. You can't make him what he is not. It will only amount to a fantasy.
Nothing like novice here..

The word is foolish..,

Many rookie politicians have fought many godfathers in this country and the rate of success is very high...

With the support Fubara has, the worst case scenario that could befall him is losing our in 2027.
At least he gets to rule for 4 years.

So he has to choose between being a bittch pupper governor for 8 years or fight like a man and stand up to a greedy and oppressive godfather but rule for 4 years.

Despite signing the agreement, Sim must break that agreement.

Rivers state cannot be in the pocket of Tinubu and Wike for 4 years.

You can't pick and choose. Stop contradicting yourself. The directive not to appoint caretaker chairmen, was it in the resolution or not? He has to abide by all the things contained in the resolution and he has stated he will.

Caretaker chairmen are unconstitutional anyway.
He would be very foolish to abide by that commandment.

Politicians break agreements everyday.

What's a politician without breaking an agreement?

They even break agreements with the people.

He would be foolish not to appoint caretakers.

Na him sabi.

Yes it is not legal, but governors do it all the time.

At some point Wike used caretakers.
Tinubu used caretakers.

But I guess it was legal at that time right?

Right??

Before the Abuja Accord, the Governor was set to dissolve the Local Government councils and appoint caretaker committees in their stead.
That was the reason for the clause Number 8 in the accord or directive.
Their tenure is set to expire by June.
Yeah but the 8th commandment says that he must conduct elections after this tenure and not appoint caretaker.

Even Wike would not be proud of this "win"

So much for a tough guy....

The fight is still a long way to go.

Fubara has to abide for now, to the 8 commandments of Tinubu..

His Supreme Court case is still undecided and Tinubu has come to Wike's rescue..

Even the representation of the budget, I know he will do it, he might send his deputy.

But the commandment I am still waiting for, is the one pertaining the Local Government elections.

He has been ordered not to appoint caretaker chairmen.

I do not expect him to abide by that one,, that wasn't a direct fall out of the crisis.

Governors are appointing caretakers across the country and you cannot command Sim not to.

If he obeys that one then he will dig his political grave.

What has Tinubu done about Hannatu Musa that didn't do NYSC?

What has he done about Tunji Ojo?, why did he suspend Beta but not Tunji?

Life itself is a heartbreak,, I knew that firsthand, when I lost my Dad last year.

Life is for the strong minded and the emotionally tough!

Nothing hurts more than losing a loved one, especially if they died young.

Now look at those 3 little ones.. who would love them as much as their mother did?

No one!

May God have mercy on her soul and grant her a peaceful eternity.

May her kids and family be strong to bear their loss, and I pray that their lives would move on for the better, not for the worse!

So sad!!

what are you saying pls? He is lucky that he is a minister? Seriously? He worked for it, earned it and building on it unlike some other politician that expire after their term this man simply became stronger thanks to his wisdom and structure. He is not lucky bro he earned it and the President know its a lost for him if wike is not on his side.
So you mean that if you remove Rivers results Tinubu would have lost?

Haven't you seen people work before but we're not rewarded?

Wike would have been totally irrelevant today if he wasn't made minister.

All those running around him would disappear.

tinubu can't afford to lose Rivers and he needs someone that can deliver the bulk votes and that man is wike, he got the structures, take a que from what just happened. Only wike can deliver and thats why he has the president's backing to clamp the wings of fubara, listen mate, the president's interest is for 2027 , fubara will have so much fight in his hands that he won't concentrate on delivering that nmmuch needed votes for the president, because he will be fighting on several front for his own interest, that's if he doesn't end up decamping tho.
Wike is only lucky he's a minster..

If not;; with his fight against Fubara, he'd be as useless as the P in psychology.

If he wasn't a minister, 80 percent of the people around would have joined Fubara already.

I admit he can get some good votes for Tinubu but he can't get more votes than Fubara in the next eley, especially if Fubara installs his own men as LGA chairmen in the 23 LGAs.

There is something definitely wrong with Sim Card. How can a man be so weak that he stands in front of another man "knacking" his lovely wife and just watch and walk away. I use this analogy because it's only a man without balls can act this way. Even though he started this fight too early and didn't wait for Wike to manipulate the Supreme court as usual, he should have fought to the last and free himself from the hands of Wike who will NEVER allow such in his time..
There is excess money in Rivers State. Stone each of these assembly members with 2 Billion naira each in foreign currency and see them dump Wike over night. Get at least 12 to 15 members and you're done. That is how Nigeria politics works. Odili did it, Amaechi did it, Wike did it, unfortunately Omehia was naive in politics and allowed Wike to outsmart him and paid Justices of the Supreme Court their dues which gave Amaechi the governorship position.
After God, Money is it.

fubara can't deliver the bulk votes alone in 2027, because he will be fighting his reelection and wike in 2027, only wike with his kind of strictures can do that. Take it or leave it
Only Two things;;

1. Fubara continues to win the people's hearts with projects and empowerments like the 100k Christmas bonus.

2. Wike and his people decamp to APC.

PDP is Rivers and Rivers is PDP.

As long as the above two conditions are met and the elections are free and fair, Fubara will thrash Wike in 2027.

The challenge Fubara has is that the President is letting his weight on him.

Wike is tactically using Tinubu to impose things on Fubara.
Shame on him, I thought he owned Fubara and Rivers.

Let's see what Fubara does with the LGA chairmen whose tenures expire in 3 months.

Tinubu has ordered him not to use caretaker.

I don't blame Nigerians for normal pessimism which then lends itself to asking question or private research to gain more knowledge.

Yet if you observe well, you will not many 'pessimism have actually crossed over into sadism and prediction of doom and gloom that requires lies and falsification of facts to convincie others all is not well and will never be well.

Dnagote is the richest or second richest individual in Africa and very ambitious to boot. He has spent a lot to deliver the largest single-train refinery in the world. He is also paying many expert foreigners a fortune to work in Lekki to ensure there is not risk of operations or maintenance failure.

What kind of pessimism, considering what I said above is information in the public domain, would make a sane mind propose the Dangotes refinery is "a scam" and will "never produce a drop of refined derivative of crude" or will "not work till 2057" when logic and knowledge of the history of Dangote's business practices should show progressive and normal Nigerians that Dangote always invests and plans meticulously to win?
Whatever!

The commencement of operations has been postponed many times, many times..
It is the norm around here, straightforwardness from government is rare.

Based on the many postponements, I do not blame anyone who is pessimistic to that extent.

That is my opinion, let me have it, would you?

You are the learner. Dangote knows Tinubu has no grudges against Buhari and he would not be crossed if Buhari’s name was mentioned. In fact, to get angry will not augur well for him among his northern supporters who still respect Buhari a lot. There’s nothing that stopped Buhari from being mentioned. He just didn’t think Buhari mattered most to his refinery.
According to reports, he did not mention Buhari even once..
I am not suggesting that he did not mention Buhari because he was scared of how Tinubu might feel.

My point is that even if Buhari had done one million things to push the refinery, it is likely that Tinubu would still get more of the hype.

That's how business men roll in Nigeria, they frolic with the guy in power.

So calm down.
