DropShot: Remind me of the presidential election result in Bayelsa state, compare it to that of this gubernatorial election, perhaps it tells you something differently from what you're thinking.
Last presidential election (2015) - PDP 361,209 APC-5,194 2016 gubernatorial - PDP 134,000+ APC - 86,000+
Smell the coffee and you will understand that results cannot be written in SS/SE as was the case in the presidential election. PDP 134,000 and APC 86,000 is a very good promise for the APC. Considering the gej factor and the incumbency of dickson. With all these day dreamers running around shouting bayelsa is pdp and PDP is bayelsa or there's no place for APC in the south south? And yet 86 thousand votes to 134 thousand? Its a pointer that rivers state is there for the taking. |

sankky: And the chasing of shadows continues 8months after being sworn in. No economic policies, no projects on ground except the ones started by the previous "bad govt", nothing to even show that there's a new govt in town except a directionless vendetta probe based more on past grudges and the need to settle old personal scores than the true pursuit of equity. That a man ignored other burning national issues and concentrated on personal vendetta even against supreme Court injunctions is a disaster waiting to happen. For those who are easily fooled by this sheer incompetence, let them ask themselves: 1- why is this govt only probing a selected number of those named by dasuki while ignoring others who were equally named by same person but who happened to be close to the new govt? 2- why have we wasted 8months of this nation's life chasing a case and yet no court indictments except indictments in the media only while ignoring every other facet of this suffering nation? 3- if the chase for the $2.1b to be accounted for could keep the entire nation on standstill (remember that not even all where stolen anyway), then what will happen when BUHARI finally develops enough balls to probe IBB for the missing $12.8b , Abdul salaam for $6b , OBJ for $16b NEPA money? and then gej for 0 billion dollars. Why zero? Because the clueless shoeless man sat back and moped as 1000 of his boys embezzled the entire treasury. |

How many states were won by the opposition under Jonathan without any re-run? How many under Buhari? Who said baboons and monkey will be soaked in blood if he looses election in 2011 and the almajiris delivered on his demonic promise? Who said his political ambition is not worth the blood of any Nigerian and delivered on his promise in 2015? Thanks.

Election violence is like an insurgency, like guerella warefare, it cannot be eliminated. The difference is that while Jonathan and the PDP capitalized on election violence to rig and multiply votes, Buhari's regime has taken the option of cancelling such dirty elections and doing re-runs instead. Which is better for democracy? Tell me. |

texazzpete: Why do you clowns think Nigerians suffer from amnesia?
We had an even worse fuel scarcity in May 2015 under PDP, with banks even closing their doors.
We had a thoroughly compromised judiciary and efcc prosecution. We had the DSS openly being partisan.
We had opposition leaders being detained illegally. Remember when Lai Mohammed was arrested for 'wandering' ?
Don't think Nigerians have forgotten. PDP will NEVER smell power again at the center. And if you think Nigerians miss GEJ, ask him to pick presidential form for 2019 and see if he will even pass the primaries stage now he doesn't have the Presidential might behind him. I tell my friends and the people I know to allow them keep whinning, after all it's a democracy. There's freedom of speech and there's freedom of whinning too. Buhari will preside till 2023, apc will be in power till 2035. PMB, will keep throwing them into prison, nothing they can do about it. |

Bayelsa millitants decide to go on a shooting spree and then you who is not myopic blames buhari for that. Contrary to general beliefs especially from people who cannot think outside of the box, the correct thing is being done now, when elections improperly conducted or conducted in violent conditions are cancelled or postponed. If it was in the past, one would just find a situation where the ruling party just ignores all of the misconducts and irregularities in the áreas and allocates votes for itself there. That's when we heard PDP 1 million, other parties 50,000 after 6 hours of an election or even before an election is concluded. I think it's better now, better to postpone elections in affected áreas than manipulate and claim everything was right. In the past such troubled elections were seen as the perfect opportunity to rig and manifacture votes. Kudos PMB. |

Jackrich: Of course it would always be that way once you've got an inconclusive Olodo in Aso Rock. Better now than before, at least now they are taking time to ensure votes count. If it was the other guy in power it would have been concluded long long ago with the PDP having 200,000 votes while the APC has 13 votes. That's what it used to be in the clueless corrupt past! Sorry but the era of announcing PDP 1 million, other parties 50,000 within 6 hours of an election or even before an election is concluded is gone. |

I think it's high time all supporters of this Buhari anti corruption campaign came out to support him. We need to hit the streets with our placards and urge Mr President to carry on, and that we are 100 % behind him. Whether they want to all it witch hunting or wizard Hunt, it's their business. Its better to witch Hunt than to act like Jonathan and do nothing! We need to let them know that we have more numbers than they do. President Buhari's morale must be boosted! The APC needs to organize this. |
