ayusco: Guy u yourself go and play a high intense game for 90 minutes at onikan after that enter plane travel to spain and immediately come down and face barca nansense so u pple think playing football is a easy abi? Yaya toure with more days rest messed up against Southampton now u expect ambrose to be ready for juventu smh
what do you mean yaya tuore messed up? yaya tuore went for AFCON, but what about gareth barry? did he go for AFCON as well? did you see his 2 blunders? and now yaya tuore is reponsible for that?
Sports › Re: Efe Ambrose: European Clubs Disregard For AFCON by ddippset(m): 6:41pm On Feb 13, 2013
blunders are blunders, that's why they are called blunders. defensive blunders are defensive blunders! they are different to having a potent attack come at you and beat you for pace or for skill. a blunder is a blunder.
Sports › Re: Efe Ambrose: European Clubs Disregard For AFCON by ddippset(m): 6:33pm On Feb 13, 2013
ayusco: I totally blame the jerk of a coach. The coach himself knows efe is a kinda guy who wants to play all the time but do you need a phd to know that a player who has been with his national team four like five weeks(meaning style of play would be different) playing as a right-back, playing five solid games against tough opponents, played on sunday at high altitude, travelled 10 hours from joborg to Glasgow, arrived tuesday morning then expect him to be both physically and mentally fit to face seria a champs juventus who knocked out holders chelsea? Smh the coached should be fined
and how does all this essay of yours stop him from preventing the first bounce of the ball for the first goal, and kicking out the ball instead of holding on to it for the second goal?( even someone who travelled 10 straight days by jet knows he shouldnt let the ball bounce as the last man). why are you guys trying to give unnecessary excuses for his blunders?

i really dont get what all the fuss is about. i have seen footballers play two tough consecutive away games in 3 days and perform excellently and have also seen footballers have one whole week of rest and still make defensive blunders like that. efe had a bad game, he had a bad game! no one is to blame. the club pays him thousands of pounds every weekend, so they should leave him in Abuja for a gala night when they feel he could help in a champions league game?

Anyway, I am more interested in the other team from Madrid. wink
ok, with an unthinkable as that one (plane crash) barca could actually lose the title.

FBS: Guess its official now. The season is truly and beyond over for RM except the unthinkable happens...

Meanwhile, I'm backing them to go all the day in the UCL!

In other news, word is that JM is coming to Chelsea while Rafa in going the other way. cheesy
unthinkable? even the unthinkable cannot happen in this case.

Mcleo007: Thiago should be able to feel the void. I will choose him any day over Cesc.
i think so too. cesc is too slow and casual. otherwise bring in song, pus busquets up a lil bit.

AjanleKoko: He didn't exactly say that. He said yes, some players were tired after the Clasico, but some players who didn't play in the Clasico played badly as well. I guess he was referring to Di Maria and Ramos.
he actually did o! i got it from goal.com, except goal.com reported it wrongly. mourinho said and i quote 'it's been clear for a long time that teams do not have control of their calendar. it was a huge and physically exhausting game on wednesday, yet one team plays today while the other plays tomorrow. it has always been the case.'
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by ddippset(m): 8:08am On Feb 03, 2013
mourinho once again blames his granada loss on barcelona, saying barcelona is getting an extra day's rest after wednesday's classico. what a human being!
Sports › Re: Egyptian Referee Still Working At AFCON by ddippset(m): 4:03pm On Jan 31, 2013
that egyptian referee against zambia did nothing so wrong. he only gave what i would admit to be a soft penalty. he was not in any way poor or biased in his officiating. if he hated us so much he would still have denied us that penalty which mikel missed since it was a very swift mis tackle by the zambia defender and nothing would happen to him. also in the build up to our first goal mikel had a serious tussle with the zambian defender who then fell to the ground. the ref could easily have given that as an infringement against us and looked the other way if he hated us so much and nothing would happen. i hate this trend of blamimg referees and blaming referees all day long.
Sports › Re: Egyptian Referee Still Working At AFCON by ddippset(m): 3:57pm On Jan 31, 2013
if those penalty claims by adebayo against tunisia were penalties, then zambia's against us was as well and if they werent penalties then our two penalties against ethiopia werent as well. it's not everytime that someone falls in the box and a white man is at the centre that it's a penalty. sometimes stikers drop their feet at the goal keeper just to create contact and fall to get a penalty. that's what adebayo did last night and ronaldo did too.
Heinze,Samuel,Cambiasso,Zabaleta! Their defense is not as bad as advertised! Plus IMO they have the best attack on the planet! How can one country have Messi,Tevez,Aguero,Milito,Higuain,Di Maria! Its unfair grin grin abeg Messi has to win the WC no one should even try that Argentina don't have enough talent line
i must agree that argentina had a very good squad at SA 2010. though they had a bad manager, everything was going very well for them until they met germany. in that germany game they were not outclassed in any way, they conceeded a very early goal form a romero(goal keeper) mistake and they dominated until the last 15 mins or so when germany then killed them on the counter. then argentina had a pretty good squad but now? the squad is still very bad. yes you have got tevez, higuian, aguero, de maria, milito but only one of them should even play alongside messi. what about the defence? what about the attack? definitely full of mediocre players, definitely not a world cup standard.

Rochas should just go and face the 49 billion naira loan he misappropriated or looted.
Why did he waited for this time before coming out with this one sided story.
Not defending ohakim o. I know he is the same looter that Rochas is.
Rochas did you actually stole funds meant for the aviation sector?
Blink you need to get some check up.

even though valdez might not be one of the best around i think i like him. he has achieved with the team and has made some incredible saves when the chips were down. but i shall never forget how he single handedly handed madrid the spanish super cup last august. now madrid think that they won it because they were so good. 3-1 up we were @ the nou camp when valdez lost possession to de maria who was at least 20 yards away when the ball was passed to him. i like him to stay but i will never forget that night.

mourinho hadnt lost at home in the league until he came to spain, mourinho hadnt been thrashed 5-0 until he came to spain, mourinho hasnt lost a league by 15 points and i hope he does. he's gonna get an overdose of humble pies in spain and i love it.

honeric01: Just weary of the "not competitive arguments" we get from other league fans jare if stuffs like this happen.
do you think that by winning the league by 2 points those saying that la liga is non competitive would just go under? no way! it's just like telling me that the lionel messi critics who say he hasnt won the world cup will go away when he eventually wins the world cup. no they wont.

honeric01: I am no longer enjoying the huge gap we're having over the rest of the clubs. it's making the league uninteresting.

10 points gap to me is okay, but 18-25 points? haba..
so what do we do now? maybe we should lose some games so madrid can reduce it to 4 points. we need a 110 point season. as for me iam loving every bit of it. may it extend to 30 points even.

see how everyone is just arguing over mediocre players; onazi, igiebor, ibrahim, obiora! even our 'best player' is a certain mikel obi!! Nigeria, how we have fallen. is it not the same nations cup where drogba, yaya toure, adebayo, gervinho, the boatengs, mensah, gyan, seidou keita, amongst others will be playing. we need to woo back some of our established stars and manage them o! because with all these igiebor, obiora, etc etc that we are arguing over here we will get some serious bashings.

it's a hopeless situation. seriously iam worried for our generation. here we have a very open election process, and people are still yelling fifa, fifa ,fifa. people need to go to school more or maybe our president was right, there is a character problem with the average nigerian man.

this post really doesnt matter because the 'bigots' wouldnt accept this even at gun point. you will still here them say 'fifa gave messi' the award like a bunch of stark illetrates. the way fifa does it remains the best, most credible and transparent option. imagine the fifa ballon d'or winner been selected by a panel of 10 fifa officials in a 5 star hotel in zurich. all hell will be let loose.
