@ A40, are you mr A40, saying that mr nani, one nil up, coveniently enroute the quater final of the uefa champions league, saw mr abeloa and deliberately stamped him in the stomach? So that he gets sent off and cost his team the victory? Does this even make any sense to you? Abi abeloa thief I'm wife? Even an 1mbecile wouldn't do that! The issue about rolling on the floor, goalkeepers and stuff are not even important, but I did go out of my way to give you a reason why nani could feign an injury but you would have non of it. If we cannot agree on the primary argument whether nani saw abeloa then we can't even have a debate. Its amazIng how you still insist that nani saw abeloa despite the existence of the video clip showing the full projectile of the ball with nani in full view of the camera. Its just amazing. I think I need to see your own version of the match. I hope your own started at 8.45 PM nigerian time on tuesday march 5th 2013 as well?
You are anti-Madrid so I don't expect you to be objective about this! What's wrong with Nani getting up and checking on Arbeloa? He was clearly not hurt!! Which means he was play-acting! When even the person that got kicked was up before the kicker!
abeloa played a fast one on nani and nani knew it. He stayed down to attract sympathy from the ref. Refs always sympathise with the 'hurt'. But all this is secondary. the referee was employed to officiate the match and not to play god. His primary concern should be whether nani saw abeloa or not. For goodness sake nani had his full glare on the ball and abeloa showed up from his other side. Those that are saying that nani saw abeloa, I wonder where they got that from. Was there another version of the same game somewhere else? I wonder. On aljazeera, supersport, goal.com, and other major sport shows they all see it as a bad decison but here in nigerian radio stations and nairaland everyone is arguing and arguing. maybe reflective of our political predicament? Btw marca also thinks it was a red card. For very obvious reasons righthuh

A lot of people keep going on and on about nani rolling on the floor being evident of the fact that he stamped on abeloa deliberately. For goodness sake how does nani rolling on the ground show he did it deliberately? Very inconclusive! Its just like saying an innocent guy fleeing a crime scene upon seeing the police means that he did the crime! No way! Inconclusive. Nani stayed on the ground because he wanted the referee's sympathy.in any clash of bodies the referee's instinct would be to be sympathetic with the guy who's wounded or 'grounded.'The ref isn't god and nani knew it,he didn't want to be seen as the villain cus abeloa actually was and so he feigned injury. Logic! I really don't understand how anybody who watched the match live, and prolly seen a couple of replays could say that nani saw abeloa. Amazing how a thin line exists between football fanatism and dishonesty nowadays. Nani had his sight on the flight of the ball on the way. Now let's give abeloa and the ref the benefit of the doubt and assume nani did see him, wasn't abeloa supposed to duck after seeing what nani wanted to do? But he didn't ,instead he went straight into the foot of nani. Abeloa only succeeded in pvncking the world minus me. Some said ok, nano didn't see him but it was a dangerous play? Seriously? Raising a foot is a dangerous play? Bicycle kicks and over head kicks now dangerous plays? Maybe zidane should have been sent off for dangerous play against levercusen, or rooney should be sent of against man city, or maybe ibra should be sent off against england for all those wonderful bicycle kick-goals for dangerous play. The referee made a blunder! He killed man u.

I don't know how you guys look at it but for me the most embarassing referee's blunder is allowing diego milito's goal stand when he was offside by almost a whole meter. For the rvp red card and the milan penalty cases could still be made but for that offside goal what case can be made? The referee didn't see it? The linesman didn't see it? Well maybe they didn't see it, but in this case not seeing it is in itself a blunder.

Johnpaul88: Possible line-up (vs Milan):
Valdes - Adriano Puyol Alba -
Busquets Pique Messi Iniesta -
Tello Villa Pedro #fcblive #ucl
[md]

What do u guys think of this line up . I really am very excited to see how it will work . Messi and Pique in midfield? Forwards minus Messi? villa leading attack? Really exciting prospects!
with all due respect to your formation, this to me is a suicidal line up.when the counters happen who is gonna do the defending? Puyol and alba? Song knows how to get forward as well, he should come in for tello. Add some steel to the mid field. The milanese are almost all six footers. They gonna murder us on set pieces and conters.

I think i still have the report of carlos garnesse,a renowed analyst who happen to be mourinho's fan on the chelsea-barca game after mou's rant in the game of madrid-barca semi final in 2009.
Henry was completely pulled off by carvalho even when peter cesc was already sent d wrong way at camp nou.the ref waved play on and nobody ever said anything on it.
Abidal was wrongly sent off in the 65th min of play at the bridge-i still have the video clip.
Among all the penalty appeals from chelsea it was only that of pique that the ref got wrong and u will agree with me that its not all hand balls the refs see(millan goal against barca this season)
The sending off of abidal made the ref overlook pique's handball and barca played for almost 30 mins with a man down.
The refs are human and are bound to make errors which every team benefits from at one point or the other.madrid were awarded penalty last season even when it was clear that foul happened outside the box and madrid won the league. But it would have been hell had it been barca.
good one there. i remember vividly. henry was pulled off really i think by cavalho or balack. yes. it had to be a pk. but nobody ever spoke out. why? because it's barca, the team they so love to hate.

i wouldnt want to go into the controversy of whether the red card was justified or not since the arument could go on forever. all i want to say is that the red card qualified real madrid for the quarters. without reducing man u to 10 men, madrid would never have qualified. simple!

Limaoscar: This an absolute sentimental nonsense. I will leave the rest of your rubbis.h and go to the point you said "even Mourihno said He didn't think it was a red card". Lie! Mou said He could NOT say if it was a red because He did not see it. I thought you should actually harp on what other nice thing He said about your cocky team.
when mourihno sees a wrong call against him, he screams the world to a stand still, he gives 1 million press conferences but whenever mourinho tells you 'he did not see it' hahahahaha. read between the lines my brother.
A dubious red card and soft penalty to boot that was called on Nesta!! Who gives a penalty for two players shoving and jostling for the ball in the box 18? Even a chronic actor like Busquets was taken by suprise

Ogbeni gbenu soun! Abidal was the last man and hacked Anelka so he was rightly sent off! Assuming that was even a wrong decision does that justify at least 3 legit penalty calls in the game? They even had another one where Eto'o handled the ball after Iniesta's goal
it's just logic except for those that want to be sentimental. that singular event of wrongfully sending off abidal triggered all of those penalty appeals. if a referee makes 1 million wrong calls in a game, the most significant wrong call has to be the first wrong call made-this is logic. ovrebo said afterwards that if given a chance he would have changed so many decisions he made in that match, and iam 100 % that sending off abidal would be one.

Chelsea vs Barca (Ovrebo incident)
BARCA VERSUS MILAN? are you for real? a soft red card you might say but what about carlos puyol's red card against arsenal at the emirates? an equally soft one. dont listen to those who might tell you that uefa have never given barca a red card, cus alot of cats out there will tell you that! trust me dogg. CHELSEA VERSUS BARCELONA - i keep telling people that the biggest decison, the major decision that night was the wrongful sending off of eric abidal in the 65th minute. that was the first wrong call made by ovrebo. playing 10 against 11 for 28 minutes triggered off those millions of penalty appeals. besides chelsea were still qualifying at 1-0. ovrebo never did them, ANDREAS INIESTA did. (abidal should never have been sent off, but the anti barca fans fail to see beyond their noses, they dont even remember that any barca player was sent off by the same ovrebo, neither do you A-40)

dayokanu: What other club cannot do how?

Bayern saw their ex player Gerd Muller becoming depressed and an alcoholic, Took him rehabilitated him and gave him a job

Bayern saw their major rival Dortmund going into Bankruptcy they gave them a loan without collateral, Can Barca do that to real madrid?

When Sebastian Deisler called it quits with football in 2007, Bayern did not dissolve his contract rather they held it in abeyance till 2009 when it ran out.

Bayern has bailed out local rival 1860 Munich from the brink of insolvency at least twice.

Bayern has organized friendlies to help other rival clubs when they are in financial problems and even with clubs outside Germany
Slow your roll a bit na.take it easy on him, a lil exaggeration is allowed sometimes in order to press home a point. he's only trying to stress the club's magnanimity with respect to tito's health issues.

seriously we all know how she would react if you looked into your wife's handbag. a vast majority would scold you and tell you its a personal effect, so why carry it? if she has other stuff , i would help out. i love to help. i will help with the other stuff while she carries her hand bag. but if she's indisposed to carrying it at any point i'd gladly carry it. but if the excuse is strictly that she has other loads then i'd prefer to carry the other loads. lets not get hypocritical here, carrying your lady's hand bag is not a function of your love or care for her.

three(3) straight games won, three straight victories aided by the referee. that's real madrid. not any problem of mine though. it only becomes a problem when barca gets a controversial decision in it's favour next time and they open their mouths to talk about conspiracies. this time it might be a mistake or 'the correct decision' but when it's barca it is called 'conspiracy'

our pattern improved slightly today. the forward adventure was curtailed a bit today. i dont know what song is doing on the bench. if mourinho had song he would never bench him. i know what song can do. song held messi singlehandedly sometime ago. song has played in big games for arsenal. if song was spanish he would play in the classico. his height , strength and experience is needed for el classico. btw we didnt deserve to lose. we deserved a 2-2. penlties are part of the game and i will talk about them. the referee has denied us 2 penalties in 2 straight games. today's own was even more glaring than the one awarded to ronaldo in the last match. if it's a penalty then it's a penalty, the ref must give it. yes i talk about penalties!
