Hello Clearing works for people who did their GCSE in the UK or as we call it WAEC/NECO in Nigeria so they can apply through UCAS In most cases, international students will have a different process. It is better to apply through the international route if your Uni has one so your application isn’t stuck somewhere. Cheers Luada: Can international student apply to university through clearing. |

Hello Incorrect Paid mail goes to contact centre mail box not caseworker Cheers Knowledgeispowe: Relax it will end in praise.
From what I heard and it work for four people now paid mail will be direct to the caseworker attending to your GWF no and hence make the decision more faster.
Do paid mail and pray come back and share testimony.

Hello Yes the consent letter would apply for all applicants were relevant No document can guarantee faster decision, perhaps opting for priority may help but it still isn’t a guarantee Ensure you dot your I’s and cross your T’s appropriately Cheers Saintmaker01: Good morning dduchess90,
Thanks for your help so far, sorry for bothering you too much. Please, the consent letter sample at the beginning of this page, does it apply to children under 2 years?
Also, apart from the listed lists of document(s) in ukvi site, is there any other document(s) that may help for the faster processing of the visa application? |

Hello You are correct, it’s a Yes Cheers Saintmaker01: Please doing one of my children's application, I was asked, "are you relying on evidence from someone else to prove financial circumstances?
For example, on a joint bank account or a bank account in someone else's name. I was asked to choose yes or no.
Since the pof is on my wife's name, should I choose yes for the question?
I'm applying as my wife (child mother) |

Thank you for applying for a UK visa. Your visa application has been received and is under consideration. We aim to process non settlement applications within 15 working days (unless you have opted for the Priority Visa service), and settlement applications within 120 working days.
Unfortunately, the processing of your application has not been straightforward and we will be unable to decide your application within our customer service targets. We are continuing to work on your application and aim to make a decision as soon as possible.
We will write to you again if there is any change to this. Please do not attend the Visa Application Centre until you have been advised that your application has been decided and that your passport is ready for collection.
Kind Regards,

Hello You mean your wife got her CAS or are you also studying? I assume her Uni is outside London For maintenance she needs 1023*9 And you need 680*9 That’s approximately £15327 OANDA exchange as at today is approx £950 to 1N so you are good.please this is OANDA checks today only If you are also studying then that’s fine, if you aren’t and you are applying as her dependant confirm from the Uni that you can apply with her because pre-masters is typically from 12weeks to 1year during her main masters study, the timeframe wouldn’t let you be her dependant Cheers EzekielBams: Hello everyone, My wife and I just got our Cas today. She is going for pre masters and afterwards masters, We have paid the full tuition for the Pre masters and we have about 20m in savings. Please is this enough pof for both of Us to apply with as nothing is stated on the Cas. Her course start on. 18 of September and ends September 2025.
Thank you all. |

Hello Do you currently have your visa? If yes you don’t need to worry about TB certificate Cheers folushoAkin: Good day everyone
I have a very urgent question. During my visa application, I stayed in a country that didn't require a TB Test. But I have now visited Nigeria and spent 3 months here. I am currently planning my trip now and preparing for the POE.
My question: Since I haven't stayed in Nigeria for 6 months, I still dont need a TB TEST right? |

Hello She should stick to her maiden name if all her documents are in that name please Cheers topie2sure: Hello @duchess and other gurus in the house.
Please for a newly wedded couple, which the MA is the wife and has all her documents in her father’s name.
When filling the VISA form, she filled the name on her credentials and at the next page there’s a chance to add additional name, in which she wants to put the husband’s name as her new surname.
The question is this advisable, or she should just stick with the name on her credentials and don’t add any additional name.
And if she’s to add additional, is she required to attach newspaper publications + change of name affividavit.
Thank you, as I look forward to your advise |

Hello Could you post the sole custody letter you have and blur out any personal information What else did you submit when applying for your daughter? I'd like to see what you submitted before advising if an appeal would be sufficient or a reapplication,if you can post and cover personal information please Cheers Nathan89: @ duchess90 and other good folks in the house please help with your thoughts and ideas
For proper context… I’m a divorced mother and I’m the main applicant, I submitted my divorce papers and letter of sole custody coupled with other documents for my daughter’s application…
My daughter’s application as a dependent got denied with an option of ADMINISTRATIVE REVIEW…meaning I could file for an appeal…
Reasons for Decision
Your application has been refused for the following reason(s):
You have applied as a dependent of a person holding a Student Route visa in the UK however, it is noted that the visa application of your Father does not hold valid leave to enter the UK. As such you do not meet the requirement as set out in paragraph 34.2 of Appendix ST of the Immigration Rules:
ST 34.2. The applicant’s parents must each be either applying at the same time as the applicant or have permission to be in the UK (other than as a visitor) unless:
(a) the parent with permission as a Student or as the partner of a Student is the sole surviving parent; or (b) the parent with permission as a Student or as the partner of a Student has sole responsibility for the child’s upbringing; or (c) the decision maker is satisfied that there are serious and compelling reasons to grant the child entry clearance or permission to stay with the parent who has permission as a Student or as the partner of a Student.
In considering your application, I am mindful of your age and also aware that the UKVI has a duty of care for child welfare under Section 55 of the Borders Citizenship and Immigration Act.
It is therefore imperative that I be fully satisfied with the travel, reception and care arrangements for you in the UK.
I also need to be fully satisfied that your welfare needs are still met once you arrive in the UK.
As your Father's has not applied I am not satisfied that there are any compelling or compassionate circumstances and that you meet the above and therefore refuse your application under ST 34.2. |
