DuchessLily:Lol. You don't know guys sha. You think the person who bought you that phone sent his mom money that month? |
Just so you guys know..it's not just about declaring love for your mum. This really happens!! You think your friends don't spend ten of thousands on babes they met at a club while they send their sisters in school 5k per month? |
I'm kinda new to the dating game, but one thing has always piqued my curiosity. I know men generally have some level of responsibility, especially when they start working. For some, it involves sending money home to their mum or sister in school every month or so. Now, some guys can send 10k to their struggling mothers in a month after complaining about economy blah blah...but are able to take a girl they just met out/ go shopping/give her money...and generally spend in the realm of 50k in a blink! How do you guys rationalize this? Don't you feel guilty? Is that the way things should be done? Should your mom take second place to your passions? I am genuinely curious |
It's 'misfires' not Miss Fire |
Well, i guess we all have our different reasons, i have small responsibilities, but i am willing to half my savings o get a small car to make life easier/more profitable. I work in the creative industry, so 'packaging' is kinda important...you never know when you will meet your personal big break. I have to be able to put a price on my work that is backed up by some level of affluence/packaging. I can't be billing clients 80k for a design when they saw me coming down from bus ![]() I am an introvert..and almost antisocial because i don't like entering bus with all its attendant noise and shakara. If getting a small Kia Picanto will make my life easier and perhaps help me keep important appointments...so be it o! I can't rationalize buying car by calculating transport costs and whatnot. In-fact, transport to my working place costs me 2.5k per month...so my car will only be for weekend movements and perhaps road trips. I am currently learning how to drive. I do believe opportunities will come that will make the car more than worth it |
jasper83:I am confused. So the OP should not buy car because responsibilities may soon come? I honestly don't understand the point. |
Hello my people, I am in the market for a new single door fridge. As a tech guy who loves to read, i have researched the thing to no end. I want a 50 - 60k fridge is amazing chilling power. I looooooove cooking, and NEPA and my small scanfrost has showed my raw chicken, fried rice and fish pepper. Sometimes food starts to defrost two hours after NEPA has struck ![]() So in your experience (especially you ladies), which refrigerator brand is the 'chillest'? Thanks for the comments. Attached is the pic of the fridge i am considering ![]()

Morning Oga. hope u are making profit off this thread. Can you kindly tell me how much I would take to get a clean Golf 3 with alloy rims? Thanks. Na the price be my problem. Abeg give me the last price. Also... Try breaking down your prices for this things into customs and price of vehicle .. It makes it easier for people to understand you. Thanks. |
Good morning bro. How much would lands me a nice 1996 Golf 3? |
saintjoel:So you are saying I should budget 650k? WHy is the custom duty on Golf 3 of 1996 so much? 140k plenty o ![]() |
Oga Gbenga. People have advised me to for the golf 3 instead of the golf 4 because its my first car and i have no experience with maintenance or anything like that. How much can i get a super clean golf 3 from coutonou? I heard that coutonou car dealers don't do business on weekends? How true is this please? Also, intend to get slim allot rims for the car once i get it...Can u arrange this, and how much would it cost too? Thanks! |
Thank you. I'll look into enrolling in a driving school this weekend so i can drive my own car out of the lot vichks: |
GAZZUZZ:Haha. Haba na. My Moniker is my favorite character from a great fantasy i once read. I just dey ask for advise o. I am a recluse after a fashion. I don't know 'things of the world'. |
chillex8:So what happens at the FRSC office? They give an actual exam or what? DO driving schools teach Theory too? |
Hello folks. I am thinking of getting my first car soon. How does one going about getting a driver's license? At what cost? Note that I cannot drive yet, and I heard there is usually a test or something like that? Does this mean I have to enroll in a driving school first before I get a car? Thank you for your suggestions. |
ginawest:You are prettier than her. Lovely eyes. author=ginawest |
Thanks. Considering my first car this year so these are great pointers. I know absolutely nothing about cars, but I plan to take my friend along for any inspection and test driving...because I cannot even drive yet ![]() |
olojuede01:HAHAHAHAHAHA |
Yes please. GOlf 4 owners we need your thoughts and experience. I am really thinking of buying one soon as my first car. Thanks! |
GAZZUZZ:Thanks for this. So is the issue a good mechanic or the relative cost of repair for the golf 4? |
Over the last few weeks i have been browsing this thread...in short, i have learned a lot!! I have never really been a car kind of person, but my uncle managed to convince me to get a car, asserting that it would help me mov around and get more money for myself (I'm a graphic designer and 3d animator) I am not really the outgoing type (I was born and bred in Lagos, but I don't know anywhere because i don't like moving around), but i saw points with my uncle. In the end, the car would be only for occasional movement. Anyhow, I've been looking around for a few months now that i have set my mind to it, and I have settled for a golf 4. The car appeals to myself of design. Not too flashy, but bespoken of a silent power. I know nothing about cars and engines and all that stuff, but i wanted to ask the opinion of you really great guys. My budget would be about 750k max as this is my first car. I don't even know how to drive but i am curious as to the opportunities having a car would afford me (on the very rare ocassions that i go out, i really detest public transport and the sun on my face) So what do you guys think? I really like the way the car looks (especially those weird headlights)...the design is timeless. It would still look lovely in 2020 unlike some early versions of say, Toyota or Honda. I hear some of your gripes with german cars, especially as it relates to their difficult wiring, but i don't know if it's a deal breaker...because it's human beings who use the car too. So....is a Golf 4 a great choice for a first car? NB: I once saw a golf 4 with those slim tyres at Yaba and i nearly broke out of the bus to steal it...then i remembered i couldn't drive If i get a golf, changing the tires to those slim rims would be number 1 on my list. |
Anybody know? I need the phone. |
Er...this is not a photomanipulation. |
