SportsRe: ACN:time for a Change The Timing of the event? by deb(m): 4:01pm On Dec 28, 2009
In otherwords,in the words of Amodu, the nations cup is helping the Europeans? Shocked
Timing being right or wrong,it must be emphasised that all the participating
teams are on level playing ground. If u chose to feature 23 foreign based players
with the trouble of their clubs not realising them on time, good for you.
Afterall it is u who said the best league in africa has no good home based player
to offer you.

If you like, donot think about your performance in angola as it affects your chances of
leading the team to SA,ask Hughes to tell u what happens to loosers.
No excuse will do,the ball is in your court.
Please tell Amodu o
SportsRe: Don't Expect Too Much In Angola- Amodu by deb(m): 3:51pm On Dec 28, 2009
Are you saying they are not scoring lots of goals, conceding little, winning most matches and never losing any under Amodu?
Angola and the world cup are both nearby. Lets see if they will justify your statement above.
I think with the above quoted comments and also judging by the way Super Chicken Eagles are playing currently, we should win
both the Nation's cup and the World cup since we conceded less, we win most matches and above all we don't lose matches under
Amodu. Anyone to second that? Please think very well before you second my comment o because you also have to remember that Super
Chicken Eagles under Amodu can hardly hold on to a lead without their opponent equalizing once or twice.
Simply a heart-attack S.Eagles grin grin grin grin

SportsRe: My Reasons Why Amodu Should Remain Super Eagles Coach by deb(m): 2:22pm On Dec 25, 2009
Thank you Sagamite for these stats.

And did Spain, Germany, Holland, Italy, CIV and SK give their countrymen the high blood pressure the SE gave Nigerians?

Secondly did Spain, Germany, Holland, Italy, CIV and SK wait until the last day, only qualifying because the favourite team surprisingly lost their last game?

Amodu should remain as coach ONLY because it is barely 3 weeks to the mundial
.
Thank you sir tongue
These undying Amodu supporters are failing to realize that it is Mozambique that qualified us for world cup and not Amodu
SportsRe: ACN:time for a Change The Timing of the event? by deb(m): 7:19pm On Dec 24, 2009
Africa will not because of EPL change the timing of the Nation's cup. Its the best time for us and its such a short competitive period and it doesn't happen everyday. Weather is another issue.
SportsRe: My Reasons Why Amodu Should Remain Super Eagles Coach by deb(m): 6:51pm On Dec 24, 2009
On your list of preference for coaches in Nigeria, Amodu is no3 why should your number 3 be the head coach of a S.Eagles?

In fact, you don't have any argument.
SportsRe: Forget About Super Eagles by deb(m): 6:39pm On Dec 24, 2009
@Poster

and you don't think the super eagles will perform better under Siasia? don't agree with you on the subject of players being our problem as a nation. How do you expect a team to perform well when your so called coach amodu doesn't believe it takes a good midfield to win a football match. Small boys who play pS2 will do better with our present crop of players than shuaibu, cause they understand the physicality, the technicality, the tacticality (allow me to use the word) and mentality involved in football even at their own level. You think this eagles won't look different under Wenger, Ferguson or Mourinho? You better think twice.
SportsRe: Amodu's Salary Is The Lowest Amongst All The World Cup Coaches by deb(m): 6:27pm On Dec 24, 2009
Thats why NFF hired him. Its not about quality of a coach its about the money.

SportsRe: Don't Expect Too Much In Angola- Amodu by deb(m): 4:43pm On Dec 24, 2009
@Sagamite

Your mind is made up on Amodu being a 'great' coach no matter what anybody says so I think it is really really a waste of time
to debate anything with you.

Majority of soccer fans in Nigeria are angry with a man who indirectly says that he is not capable of delivering the job we have entrusted in his hands successfully and you are practically telling us that we are not thinking right by asking him to quit. Man, no matter what he has achieved, Amodu has made a 'murderous' statement by asking us not to expect anything special. If truly you understand what the concept of good leadership is, you will not be holding the position you are right now. Leadership skill is important to succeeding in any endeavor you embark on and that is greatly lacking in Amodu. His utterances are enough for any sane man to know. Its so sad that he is the head coach of a senior National team of any nation sad and that happens to be Nigeria.

A sports Journalist friend of mine by the name Godwin Enaghena is a great supporter of Amodu but the day Amodu made the unguarded utterance of us not expecting anything special from him, I was greatly surprised at the U-turn Godwin made on Amodu's capability to handle the national team and my surprise is as a result of the fact that he (Godwin) had initially expressed his undying support for Amodu as the national coach before then. I will call the likes of Godwin logical supporters and not the type that has made up their mind like you Sagamite
SportsRe: Don't Expect Too Much In Angola- Amodu by deb(m): 11:44pm On Dec 23, 2009
@Sagamite
- England had stronger players
Same England that could not qualify for USA 94?

- England played at home
So what? That was a super eagles team that ranked among top 10 in the world then

SportsRe: Time To Help Amodu by deb(m): 9:51pm On Dec 22, 2009
Amodu is not wise enough to include those great players you mentioned. I doubt if he knows that some of them
even exists.

I am more impressed at the following people that you listed; Carlton Cole, Agbonlahor and Stephano Okaka
Those are players that will make Super Eagles really compact.
SportsRe: Kanu Is 55 Years Old! by deb(m): 9:39pm On Dec 22, 2009
Our players are in trouble. This is what you get when you publicly disgrace yourself in the eyes
of the world like we did at the just concluded Nigeria 2009. Fewer clubs will be interested in buying our players now because they don't want old
men plying their trade for them disguising as 18, 19 and 20years old.

The unwise and untimely disgrace meted out by Adokie will go a long way to affect the career of footballers in Nigeria but the sad thing is that
its not only Nigeria that cheats yet it is only our players that will suffer the consequences more now. I believe in sanity for our football
but I prefer that we deal with our problem within ourselves instead of happily and foolishly disgracing ourselves in the glaring eyes of the
whole world.
SportsRe: Coach Amodu Will Be Disgraced Out Of The Nations Cup - Primate Elijah Babatunde by deb(m): 9:18pm On Dec 22, 2009
I don't need a prophet to tell me what will happen to the S.Eagles next year.
Amodu will fail woefully at the nation's cup may be the worst Nation's cup outing in recent time
then he will be sacked from Angola. Soon after his sack there will be fresh clamour for a foreign coach to come
and perform miracle within a short time like we did with Berti Vogt. The foreign coach will also fail woefully at the world cup
then we will sack him and put a local coach there again. Meanwhile, our NFF will not do anything about our football until another competition
is nearby before they start to run around for how to heal our football again.

This is a country that like to run cycle. You don't need a prophet people

What is happening to Olofinjana why can't he win it? lol grin grin shocked cheesy
SportsRe: Don't Expect Too Much In Angola- Amodu by deb(m): 4:58pm On Dec 17, 2009
No 2, the English players do not have the culture of unprofessionalism an average Nigerian has which will take longer to overcome and sustain for ANY coach.
That means eagles need a true leader. Onigbinde wasn't a fantastic coach but his leadership quality brought out the best in the hurriedly
assembled team such that Nigerians actually believed we were going to win the Korea/Japan World Cup. Though the team eventually disappointed because of lack of experience but with such leadership and winning mentality injected on a team for as long has the duration Amodu had taken over the eagles, we will be sure of at least winning the nations cup at for real now.

Amodu is no good coach, he has been winning and drawing like a man that gamble, no leadership quality, no team pattern, even after victory or a draw the fans know that the team is going no where because its only a matter of time to be unlucky. so what is his usefulness as a zombie coach?
SportsRe: Don't Expect Too Much In Angola- Amodu by deb(m): 4:17pm On Dec 17, 2009
Winning the Nation's cup is non-negotiable
SportsRe: Don't Expect Too Much In Angola- Amodu by deb(m): 3:09pm On Dec 17, 2009
Amodu will surprise you in Angola, the man is a silent archiver, he does not make noise like some coaches, now that Naija criticized and chastised him with their tongues, the man will proof to you that he is still the best in the Land. Let wait and see.
Please correct the highlighted, he has never been the best and he cannot be the best in Nigeria with Samson Siasia, Keshi and even Eguavoen self better pass am.
SportsRe: Don't Expect Too Much In Angola- Amodu by deb(m): 3:06pm On Dec 17, 2009
@Sagamite,

Am glad you wrote that it 'sounds' like it but not exactly it.
Its a simple truth that is bitter to swallow. Sorry Amodu supporter
SportsRe: Don't Expect Too Much In Angola- Amodu by deb(m): 2:34pm On Dec 17, 2009
Amodu has just admitted to being a failure. He should just resign for God sake but fear of hunger no go let am.
After his dismal performance at the nations cup he will be booted out by the same block-headed NFF.

Am not a prophet of doom Super Eagles will experience the biggest fck up this coming nation's cup under Amodu
SportsRe: Amodu Invites 32 Players To Final Super Eagles Camping. by deb(m): 2:13pm On Dec 17, 2009
Shocking news from failed coach Amodu Shocked

Dont expect us to bring the trophy home from Angola. Infact for us to reach Semi-Final is unexpected. SO why are we going to Nations Cup.

Anyway in the history of Nations cup, we have not brought that cup home with an indigineous coach, Amodu, Chuckwu etc have been at thier best with silver or bronze. Its tradition. So why are we going there with Failed Amodu again? Why?
My brother I tire for Naija o? sad embarassed

SportsRe: One Africa Country Must Win The World Cup by deb(m): 10:29pm On Dec 16, 2009
i sincerely don't think any of the african countries have reached that level to win the world cup, but i believe that semi-final is a more realistic target and it will be great to see any of the teams achieve that.
If an African team can get to the semis then she could just go ahead and win the cup. Why get to semi-final for the fun of it? It doesn't make sense to me. Nobody gave Asia a chance yet they got to Quarter and semi-finals at the last world cup so if truly african teams are better than their asian counterpart let one of them win the cup. Personally am tired of us just going to make the numbers its a negative thought pattern.
SportsRe: Amodu Invites 32 Players To Final Super Eagles Camping. by deb(m): 10:18pm On Dec 16, 2009
Odewinge on d other hand is a very passionate player and prolly d best on dat team, d problem i hv wiv him is dat he isnt a team player, odewinge runs al over d field doing everybodys job hence leavin his wing vulnerable.
I disagree.
Osaze is a brilliant player and his thought pattern is mostly ahead of his colleagues on the field of play. If they understood every of his moves
per time no defence will be able to withstand Eagles but sadly its not the case
