Politics › Re: Fashola Warns Mend by deb(m): 10:00pm On Jul 17, 2009
Seriously, take your biafran bullshit somewhere else. We have more than enough problems in the Niger-Delta. The last thing we need are fools like you calling for the killing of my fellow Nigerian brothers and sisters (hausa, yoruba, etc). And we definitely don't want to be associated with morons like you and MASSOB. Hey, why don't you take care of your own eastern governors that are busy taking oaths in shrines and looting the coffers of eastern states. And speaking of tribalism here, I will blame you useless biafrans. Maybe if you hadn't carried out the 1st coup in the 60s (killing govt officials 'cos they were hausas or yorubas), you wouldn't have had your collective asses handed over to you in the civil war, and this nation wouldn't have been so divided ion tribal lines. So take your bullshit somewhere else  .
Thank you my brother.
Igbo started the tribal war and have been suffering for it since they started, and up until now they are  still looking for who to blame for their self-imposed woe

When Fashola, his Yoruba brothers and their chief conterpart ,the Hausas were busy looting, exploiting, embezling and maginalising the Niger deltans , it was fine , now MEND simply Bombed something that Niger deltan's money was used to build, the Shameless Gov Fashola is on press making useless noise and empty threat .

Mend did a highly commendable job, I advice them to move over here and bomb the Fct, Kano , Kaduna, Jos, Borno and Niger state. they should aslo bomb some other places in the west, lagos is not enough and their last week attack was too small.
May the bombing reach your home in Abuja

The blame game again abi? Maybe we now have to blame the Developed world for making us push the causes of our misfortune on any venerable foreign country. Africans wake up from your sleep and think straight!
You guys are not getting it. We are not saying that Africans should not take responsibility for their own misdemeanor.
We are only asking a question. What is the moral justification behind lashing at us as though you are holy.
Politics › Re: Falana Slams Obama Over Speech In Ghana. by deb(m): 4:51pm On Jul 14, 2009
Obama NEVER IN HIS SPEECH mentioned that the US was HOLIER, that is your delusion, sir!!

NoWhere in his speech did he call for everyone to BE LIKE THE US, in fact he never really tried to compare Africa with the US, so again, I fail to see the fact you speak of here.
I never said that Obama mentioned US as being holier than thou, I only practically measured and looked at his possible stand point of view.
You can't begin to point accusing fingers at Africa if you don't believe you are upright yourself, else you will amount to a hypocrite and that is exactly the point I was making.

I believe you are matured and you should be able to make sensible conclusions. Did I quote Obama? No!
Politics › Re: Falana Slams Obama Over Speech In Ghana. by deb(m): 3:46pm On Jul 14, 2009
@ deb
Throw more light please
United States may be sweeping theirs under the carpet and dealing with t privately, but the fact remains that they are corrupt too.
Therefore, let them not open their rubbish mouth to talk about how bad others are and how holy they are .
Its a simple fact. Obama should shut up!

How many of you have watched the film 24, all the 7seasons? That is how they do their corruption and deal with it privately, not like
Nigeria where we are the first to tell the world our own wrong and later we start spitting fire that we are not being treated well
outside of the country.

Any more facts that you want??

One day cars will run on water ! its no Dream . One day people will stop dreaming that we have leaders in Nigeria,One day intellectual Revolution will change the whole rubbish and we will call our "Leaders" to account ,its no Dream ! its no Vision its possible ,how? when? if we stop discriminating, when we stop segmenting, colour is best appreciated by the admirer. Nigerians ! oh my we have a very long way to go if we continue rascism in our own Domain. Then why complain when outside the shore ?

Politics › Re: MEND Attacks Lagos by deb(m): 2:23pm On Jul 14, 2009
I think MEND is the most pathetic group of sociopathic cowards that Nigeria ever threw up. You want to make a statement go to Abuja , not crawl around inside rivers at night exploding knockout.
You just stated my mind. You are a hero. Let them go to Kano, Kaduna. Lagosians are peaceful people and are too
busy developing their own state with the various taxes from tax payers.
Politics › Re: Falana Slams Obama Over Speech In Ghana. by deb(m): 2:09pm On Jul 14, 2009
The Falana that I know is a no ass kisser and he is not seeking any nonsense attention from Nigerian government.

Sometimes, you've got to stand by your own country, even if it is the most "corrupt", especially when bad comments are
coming from hypocrites like United States
Politics › Re: Ghana, The True Gaint Of Africa? by deb(m): 1:55pm On Jul 14, 2009
If the truth must be said, Nigeria is just about 10years old in democracy.
A lot of our potentials were subdued by the military. I think we are just always too hard on ourselves
and that is why the world does not see us as young democracy but a bunch of just corrupt people,
which is not the real truth. The problem of Nigeria is caused by a few but the noise about the deeds are so
much that you will think no other country does it like we do.

Within the space of 10years, a lot has happened positively to Nigeria but we just will not talk about it, we'll rather
make noise about the negative and the hypocritical world media are happy to use us get popular. In my book
Nigeria is still the true giant of Africa. We had our own problems yet we still went to South Africa to fight the apartheid
regime, our foolish leaders did same for so man other African nations even though all we get back is HATE HATE HATRED.
Nigeria needs to wake up.
Politics › Re: Ghana, The True Gaint Of Africa? by deb(m): 1:31pm On Jul 14, 2009
hmmm well my guess i ssouth africa has far more highly skilled workers than nigeria based on the structure of its economy, but seriously there are probably more of Nigeria brightest brains working in London or New York or Houston than in Lagos, and music is not something you can build an economy on,,, none of the richest or most powerful countries in the world are where they are becuase of their music industry, and the Nigerian banking system is miniscule compared to that of South Africa's much less Europe
Huh! Just yesterday, it was in the news on radio that Nigerian Banks Overtake South African banks.
Sorry I don't have any more sources than what I heard on the radio yesterday else I would have provided it.

To answer your question on the music industry, do you know how many self-made millionaires the music industry is producing
yearly in Nigeria? That surely should affect the economy positively somehow, and that is aside the trend taking potential criminals off the streets.
Politics › Re: Ghana, The True Gaint Of Africa? by deb(m): 9:05pm On Jul 13, 2009
South Africa and Egypt are the only countries on the African continent that can be called "powers" ,  Nigeria has not yet even come close to living up to its true potential. The Nigerian economy is smaller than that of small minor European countries like Belgium or Greece despite its oil and is less than 2/3 the size of South Africa's despite have more than twice as many people,  Nigeria is no giant in any area except population!
We have the brightest brains in Africa take it or leave it. Our music industry is second to non in Africa,
How about the banking industry and our growing economy that has defered all permutations despite the corrupt
leadership of Nigeria?

Politics › Re: Dora Akunyili And Her "sudden" Revelation On Nigeria Problems! by deb(m): 4:01pm On Jul 13, 2009
Every effort made by a Nigeria to better the lots of Nigerians is first condemned by the same Nigerians.
A lot of you guys posting here don't really know Dora Akunyili. She is a woman of integrity, she does not steal
from Nigeria's purse like others do. She got to where she is today by the virtue of her integrity and only her integrity.

I was privileged to meet with her last week Thursday in Abuja and we both had a long
talk about the re-branding exercise. This woman means well for Nigeria but she's not getting
the needed support. All she's been getting had been criticism from so many people like you Nairalanders.

Dora has not said that the media re-branding is the only solution to Nigeria's problem, it is only a part of it.
And if given the needed support, am sure Nigeria will be better off.
Sometimes I wonder if Nigerians home and abroad have not suffered enough from the bad image the country had
consistently projected to the whole world over the years. There are good things happening in our country and what the
re-branding exercise expect from us is to also focus more on the positive side of Nigeria while we address the negative ones.

Economically , South Africa leads.

Ghana is more stable though.

Nigeria is the giant in Population and Corruption/embezzlement
You just chose to close your eyes to the good side of Nigeria.
I know your type very well, no matter how much improvement occur in the country
you will never see nor appreciate any of it.

You have not seen the exploit of Nigerian banks, the fact that more enterprenuers are emerging,
the fact that the middle class is fast returning, the fact that a lot of us can now afford new cars,
all the transformation in Lagos is of no business to you except that you take joy in ridiculing
your own country at the slightest opportunity even before other nationals on nairaland.

Later, your low lifer self will complain that Nigerians are not treated well outside of the country
as though we commit more crimes than others. Get a life, get a dream, get a vision and start living
for something then your life will have meaning and it will no longer be controlled by the economy of
Nigeria or of any nation on earth.

Kudos to Chinua Achebe.

They never said there are no other great books from Africa. They listed the most ones people search for. Bestsellers doesn't mean best books. A biography of Michael Jackson may sell more than the number one book there and so on. As a matter of fact, Chinua has other books that I think are better than TFA, his Arrow of God and No Longer at Ease stands in African literature. Ngugi Wa Thiongo's the beautiful ones are not yet born is another one.
I disagree on the above highlighted book. I've read it too

Politics › Re: The Meaning Of Biafra by deb(m): 1:24pm On Jul 07, 2009
Why are you all scared of Ndigbo and Biafra? Biafra and what it stands for has come to stay and this is the truth you people has found so hard to swallow. There can never be any peace till justice prevails. The Federal Republic was created as an instrumentality of war. Tell me, where did our past leaders gathered and gave up the sovereignty to have a Federal Republic? Nowhere. The closest we have gotten to have a true Nigeria state was the Aburi accord. Tell me, what happened when Gowon got back to Nigeria? Some people suddenly realized they can't compete, others sold out cos they believe then they have the Capital in their domain. Thank God, my brothers in the Niger Delta have realized that the geographical entity called Nigeria is a joke. Even the professional hypocrites had their fingers burnt in 1993. Now, deep down in their hearts, they are saying had they known. The innocent blood shed in the pogrom of 1966 in the Nothern and Western part of Nigeria is still crying for justice. I'm telling you the sins of the Father shall be visited on the children. It is what you sow that you reap. Today, they are all crying that the igbos have come up again and surpassed everybody and now dominating the geographical entity. I have a message for you all, THE BEST IS YET TO COME!
Stop deceiving yourself. Nobody is scared of Biafra. We are just sick and tired of hearing about it. If you start a war today you will be roundly defeated.
There is no way you are going to prevail.
Politics › Re: Can Nigeria Afford an Igbo President? by deb(m): 9:12am On Jul 07, 2009
Pretty interesting post. From all i see, the negative attitude toward the igbo race stems from envy and jealousy. All the senseless rants from billymuse and his cohorts point to this.He is so quick to provide lenghty and unintelligent replies condemning igbos but can't provide on logical reply to questions about his own people.

Grow up haters.Jealousy will get you no where. For example, the billymuse character stated an edit from El rufai that Igbos own 73% of land in Abuja.Yes, what if they do?Did they acquire the property for free.Na Jealousy go finish you.Rot and die in your jealousy and madness.
haaaaa hhhhhhhha hahahahahahahaha

haaaaa hhhhhhhha hahahahahahahaha JEALOUSY INDEED! grin grin grin grin
I'll rather die than to be jealous of an Igbo. What is there to envy in your despicable lifestyle
