Gratefulheart01:You and I don’t have power or any moral standing to tell people that a particular religion is the true one. Rather let you, me and everyone pray to God to lead us to the right path. So let’s both say a prayer together. “May God lead us to the right path.” Kindly say it every morning. |
Clowns There was no national crisis when his party people from the same SE was cutting the money budgeted for the airport. Now that the airport is not up to standard it will cause national crisis. God punish all hypocrites. |
Ok |
valacious:This is the main reason. You’ve been studying an opponent for 5months and training to beat that opponent and then you have to change to a new opponent in less than 2months. it’s very tricky. I actually saw it coming. I believe Joshua will kill this guy in a rematch. Joshua was too forgiving in this match. He really underrated the guy. |
Very funny thing. It’s only temporary. How do you expect NSCDC to relate with touts, agberos and drivers. |
CAN of Clowns Please which constitution are these useless clowns talking about? Did they draft another constitution after GEJ left cos I didn’t see unconstitutional when GEJ went there in 2012.
|
I believe this guy is setting himself up for failure. In a Nigeria with no proper data for an outsider coming into the government house, anyone rushing to make decisions usually don’t have much to offer. By the time he sees the real governance(that is different from what he perceives from outside) he will realize that most of the decisions he took in a rush were rash and actually unproductive and counter productive in some cases. Oyo state for a fact is one of the most complex(if not the most complex) states to govern in the country. To make the matter worse, his first move is a political move(to settle the power blocks that got him there) rather than people oriented move. Of what importance is this move(legal or illegal) to the people of Oyo state. ZERO. If you’re quoting to say rubbish I have two things for you cos I can see a slowpoke already displaying his low mental capacity down there. 1. Make sure you’re Oyo indigene staying in Oyo state 2. Even if 1 above applies to you, I don’t open my mentions cos I don’t care. |
adedayoa2:I understand what you mean but it is encouraging more child births. Some women will have 3 births in a space of 4years if given the chance like this when ordinarily, they won’t try such when they know they have only 3months. A country with our present level of population and low infrastructure should be having strict laws to control/discourage births rather than encouraging it. Before we know it, we will have western scientist coming to sell different birth control inventions to us. Inventions which will not only cost us money but will give us a lot of health problems in the future. These are subtle ways we can control popuation. When people know that giving birth and raising kids is not easy, they reduce the number of kids they have. |
While we are shouting that our population is skyrocketing without corresponding infrastructure and resources to cater to it, a state governor is making it easier for people to continue giving birth. Misplaced priority. |
cornel994:I answered your question with a single line that “just like you didn’t know about this, there are other things going on that you didn’t know about”. You, like most Nigerians don’t know much about the ports stories so it’s understandable. I also don’t know much but because I once worked with a company that provided port security at our ports, I know some ports in the SS are functioning eg onne port, Warri port. It may not be to capacity due to some reasons but they are. The one in the east is not functioning because of the shallow waters that link the port to the Atlantic. The past federal governments has been making plans to dredge the river for a long time without doing anything but this particular government seem serious about it. The only thing delaying it is the construction going on the second Niger bridge. |
Ok |
I see someone saying “this is what they should’ve done”. Nonsense. So government just woke up yesterday and said let’s put this park here to clear the gridlock and Gbam! We have this. Is it not obvious that the government had been doing something about it for a long time co projects like this would’ve taken nothing less than 3years from initiation and design to this level. cornel994:Just like you didn’t know about this park same way you dont know about the one in east that is being delayed by the second Niger bridge. seunmsg:That park is not too small when you factor in the kaduna dry port that is already functional and Ibadan dry port that is coming on board. Also the one in the east that is being delayed by the second Niger bridge plus the Warri port(which I read something positive about sometime ago) |

kinglee007:Wooow you’re really good at twisting things. You blatantly took my statement out of context to play the victim card and blame game that I was sowing the seed of discord. Until you come to terms with it and start blaming your grand fathers for your woes rather than others, nigeria will never favor your tribe politically. You claim not to have quote me out of context then what happened to the bold part? The “it” in the first part referring to the actions of your grandfathers as stated in previous paragraph. I repeat you’re really good and I’m not surprised it’s coming from the same set of people who never take responsibilities for their actions rather they find a set of people to blame for their failures. You simply trying to pin the “sowing the seed of discord on me” but no matter how you try you cannot change history. It is a fact that has been on ground before you and I were born and at the rate you’re going I will still say it again. If you and your people do not stop blaming others for everything and start taking responsibilities for your failures, there’s nothing for you politically in this country. Talking about treason I’m happy to inform you that your definition of treason is shallow and myopic. You have three words from your definition and I’ll try to educate you from those three words. 1 Betraying your country. When you betray your country it means you’ve done something that is not only against the constitution of your country but you have done something that threatens the core foundation and unity of your whole country. When Henry Okar bombed the Independence Day parade in protest of breaking out what do you call that? 2. Attempting to “kill” This is a typical example of your myopic and shallow view. “Kill” in this statement is referring to taking a human life but attempting to strangle the life of a sovereign government. The eternal continuity and life of any country’s government is having successive governments and in what way do you have successive governments in a democratic setting if not election. When a certain person or group of persons now come out to say there will be no election in a particular part of that same country, is that not an attempt to kill/stifle the life out of the sovereign nation? 3. Overthrow the government This is pretty straight forward. I remember the time the Nigerian military moved in to arrest Nnamdi Kanu was few days after he unveiled the Biafra secret service with full military regalia. I don’t think there’s any country on this planet earth that can wait around and allow a group of separatists to form military or secret services. The Catalan movement has been on for over a 100years but they know better never to attempt to form a military or secret service and in those 100years of their movement, I don’t think a Catalan has ever been elected as the Spanish head of government. That is the price you pay in any country when you keep chanting the songs of separation. Now back to the retaliation. You said once retaliation has been made, then truce is called. I don’t know where you get the rule from but I know there’s not rule that says once you retaliate then grudges are over. On the other hand, I will ask a question. If we are to go with your analogy of “retaliation and truce” then I should ask who were the people that were wronged/offended and who retaliated? The whole country was offended and a particular section retaliated. What of the others? Particularly three important people from two tribes were killed. Two from the north and one from the SW. Now assuming truce was called when the north retaliated, what happens to the SW that didn’t retaliate? What happens to other minority tribes that were forced to realign with regions they will rather do without due to the abolishment of regional government? What you fail to understand is that the problem created by that singular act of the first coup is not as simple as you or anyone saying retaliation has been made so we should or forget and move on. If you remember or know your history, the anger of the first coup lead to different attacks that follow the “retaliation coup” on people of that particular tribe. This attacks further degenerate to the bloody civil war that killed millions of Nigerians. This is to tell you the result of the first coup is not as simple as retaliation and truce. Finally there may not be direct animosity resulting from the first coup(the present animosity is due to the unfavorable political climate against that same tribe) but we can’t hide the fact that the root of this unfavorable political climate was a direct result of the abolishment of regional government and parliamentary system(handed over by the British) masterminded by the first coup plotter just because they feel(like you also pointed out in one of your comments) the presidency role of Nnamdi Azikwe was a figurehead forgetting that there’s something called future where they too can become the prime minister and hold the power. As at that time, southerners were still united against the north and could have ruled the country for a long time with collaboration cos the country had 2regional governments(eastern and western) as against that of the north that had only 1(northern region). Because they wanted power for themselves and were not patient they scattered everything, effectively giving the power to the north(that has superior population) with the introduction of the presidential system. Now unto the radio Biafra thing, how do you communicate with a set of people constantly on the move and are always with radio listening to stations from other countries with Fulani presence if not through the same radio. You said Radio nigeria only had Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba language services. That is not true. Below is the picture of few of radio Nigeria’s network stations. Tell me the language the ones in delta, kogi, Akwa Ibom, cross river, benue, and Edo states broadcast in?

Angelfrost:Answer the damn simple question. It’s not so hard to do instead of writing a retort and deleting. |
kinglee007:Honestly as lovely as your write up is, you got the each and every point wrong. Let me try and explain again. You initially claim they retaliated, yes they retaliated but when it comes to history, retaliation like you put it is not as simple. As long as history is told and is handed down from generation to generation fresh wounds get opened. To tell you the truth that no northerner will hardly admit to any southerner. There are some actions that teach people things that will forever shape the way they relate with you for life. The coup unfortunately was one of those things and it shaped the way the north will for a long time relate with that tribe. My point in short is that the north has not forgotten nor has it forgiven and to make the matters worse, the coup and the subsequent actions of the then government that led to abolishing of the regional government gave advantage to the north due to their superior land mass and the population. I hope you get my point now. The tribe is one of the smallest in terms of land mass and population. So it is virtually impossible to attain power without collaboration with other tribes but the same tribe takes other tribes as enemies. The thing is if this tribe can be humble enough to admit to themselves that they were wrong with the coup(they don’t even have to admit publicly or apologize to the whole country for the coup) and relate peacefully with others rather than blame others when they react to their action. Politics is a game of numbers, SW don’t have the numbers but have ruled cos they know how to play the game. It’s not a game of who is next. Even if they are to give it to who is next, no one will ever give power to a tribe constantly planning treason. Speaking of treason. All over the world, treason has always been a greater crime than terrorism or banditry and the treatment of the two has always being very different. Try and remember that next time you’re trying to compare Ipob to herdsmen. You mentioned my last statement. Imagine the way you lifted my statement out of context. That alone is enough to get anyone angry but I won’t get angry cos it’s a known trait of that same tribe. Actions like the lifting of statement out of context to play a victim card is what is breading the ethnic and religious tension. Instead of having a clean rational mind, this particular tribe has taken it as a right to read unnecessary meaning to everything even when it absolutely makes no sense like this radio station of a thing. Finally, like I asked the other person that was exchanging comments with me(he couldn’t provide any answer). What is the reasonable thing that is wrong with the initiative? If there is any, kindly suggest an alternative. To be tell you the fact, the issue of ethnicity is not a reasonable problem cos we have Radio Nigeria in various states of the federation speaking the local language of the states(SE is not left out) and presently there’s no federal funded radio broadcasting in Fulani. So please kindly tell us the problem with the initiative. |
Angelfrost:Loooool You read through the comment and you couldn’t answer the simple question there. I expected it though. I knew you won’t have anything meaningful to reply with. Your strategy is simple and old but doesn’t work on someone like me. “Deflect when the argument isn’t going your way or when you you don’t have anything meaningful to say” I knew from the beginning that I was dealing with low intelligence people when I broke my tradition of not replying comments or quotes but I underestimated the level of low I’d meet here. |
kinglee007:Retaliated? Like I told you history don’t forget and some sins are unforgivable to some people. It’s unfortunate that you have to suffer the consequences of the actions of your grand fathers but don’t ever try to shift the blame on other. Learn to live with it and find a better way to deal with it. No one fears your break out the fact is that you cannot cause the trouble and still attempt to run away from it’s consequences while blaming others. Your first coup plotters abolished regional government which could’ve made it easy for any region to break out(the intention of the British in case the amalgamation didn’t work after 100 years). The abolishment effectively jammed all of us together. Now the same tribe is still the one championing the return of regional government and threatening breakout after they discovered the new association does not fav our them. You cannot eat your cake and have it. The world doesn’t revolve only around you and your tribe that is the lesson the rest of the country is teaching you. Until you come to terms with it and start blaming your grand fathers for your woes rather than others, nigeria will never favor your tribe politically. |
Angelfrost:You should rather have a word with yourself. There’s nothing the government does that you’ve for once commended. Grazing bill, you condemned it Ranching, you condemned it Radio station, you condemn it And you’ve never for once being able to provide us with any meaningful alternative solution. Your propaganda keeps spreading. You never for once stop to reason that why are all these herdsmen noice coming from the enemies of the government/president(FFK, OBJ, OYEDEPO, SECONDUS etc) why not neutral people like Kumuyi, Adeboye(are they not Christians), Dave umahi, Babangida(are they not PDP). Benue state governor kept shouting Fulani herdsmen which he used to win the election. The FG keep telling you those killing in benue are not Fulani herdsmen(you all said the FG is lying). Now after the election, the governor has come out to say that the main person responsible was one of his aide. Yet you still blame the government. Check yourselves bro. I just don’t know what reasonable reason any reasonable human being can give for opposing the establishment of a radio station to educate a set of people. Let me ask the question clearly if you don’t understand. If you say they’re killing farmers and we all know someone living with animals can sometimes behave like animals, IS THERE ANYTHING WRONG WITH ESTABLISHING A RADIO STATION TO EDUCATE THEM AND REPROGRAM THEIR MINDS AWAY FRIM VIOLENCE? Tell us what is reasonably wrong with the radio station and give us alternative solution. Obviously you cannot say they should not do their business that they’re known for. |
Inteltower:SE should better remember from the first coup that derailed the Nigerian dream cos some people are yet to forget and to tell you for a fact History never forgets. The unfortunate thing is that the SE has forgotten that they’re still paying for the crime of the first Nigerian coup that was made against every other Nigerian tribe except the SE. If a radio station to address and educate a set of people is insensitive to you people then you people have problems deeper than any country can resolve. You need to check yourselves. If there’s any tribe that is more of a threat to the county called nigeria, it is the people that wants the break up of the country. The other tribe can still be educated and controlled which the FG is aiming to do but the same tribe threatening the unity of this country is angry that the government is taking steps to solve the problem. |
osuofia2:Do you loose your brain whenever Fulani herdsman is mentioned? Radio Nigeria in Oyo state and other SW states, is it Igbo they speak or is it Hausa or itsekiri? The radio Nigeria in SE do they speak Yoruba, Hausa or any other nigerian language except Igbo? Or is it your money that they use to build the stations? Please kindly suggest to us which other means to reach a set of people who are always on the move in remote places. Maybe they should be calling for Fulani herdsmen town-hall meetings right? Just read what you wrote again. Nomadic schools in nigeria? Even you yourself knows that Fulani don’t do almajiri so you had to add nomadic school to it. All this lies in a bid to support you brainless assumptions. When was nomadic school established in nigeria? |
Inteltower:Imagine your reasoning. So because you don’t understand the language so it should not be established and they shouldn’t be educated? How many Nigerian languages do you understand? Do you understand Yoruba when it is spoken on radio? Why don’t you tell BBC to scrap their Hausa station because you don’t understand Hausa? Because you don’t understand the language does it mean we don’t have tens of thousands of Igbos, yorubas and other tribes that speaks and understand it fluently. You peoples reasoning is pathetic. |
MaKenz:So the FG of a multicultural and multi ethnic country like nigeria will now go on air to order a certain sect of people to start killing others? Haaaa nigeria is in trouble. Does that make sense to you? |
ozodigboo:What useless truth is he speaking. Reading through comments here I cry for my country. FG closed a radio station because it’s spreading hate and has opened another one to educate the violent herdsman on the illegality of their activities(the only way to get across to those people). FFK has come out to condemn it and numbskulls like you people are praising him. I don’t understand do you and FFK expect the FG to be directing herdsmen on how to kill people through the radio station? cos I don’t know what exactly you people have against this initiative. With people like you NIGERIA IS DOOMED. |
Personally I don’t like what the woman did. She has set a precedence that is not good for our judiciary. The quote “Nemo Judex in causa sua”(no man shall be a judge in his own case) is wrong in this situation cos the woman has no relationship with the party involved. Is she APC? No Is she an APC member? No She is a separate legal entity from her husband and a further separate entity from her husbands party(APC). She cannot be held for the actions of her husband let alone her husbands party. I will like to see Atiku’s excuse again. How do you expect to win in court when the people you hired to predict/calculate your election chances predicted a LOSS for you.

Truckpusher:There’s no violation of rights in arrest. You can only violate someone’s right when you detain someone unlawfully(after it has been established that the person is not a Muslim). Once you’re arrested, the first thing is to establish your religious beliefs. If it doesn’t fall under sharia then you’re released shikena. Don’t make a mountain out of a mole hill. Sharia is for Muslims and even if such person denies being a Muslim just to avoid the punishment, then it is between him and Allah. There’s no compulsion in religion. |
