What is rail line doing in Moniya in Ibadan?

Guardian and junk journalism.

I’m supposed to believe a journalist or paper that can’t do ordinary google search to know that Moniya is not even anywhere close to the Ibadan rail line.

Believe this junk at your own peril.

Marotzke:
A church with a school that charges tuition fees must pay applicable tax on the school.
An Islamic organization that has a mosque and a printing press , must pay tax on the printing press.
The days of packing lucrative businesses under a religious garb to avoid the taxman is coming to an end.
Schools and hospitals don’t pay tax.

Islamic organizations don’t do printing press. What are they printing? In fact they don’t have any business they do cos no one will manage it.

The only taxable business that Churches have are bookshops and sometimes printing press. There’s a church I know in Ib that sells borehole water.

The only other tax that can be derived from churches is PAYE of its workers earning salaries.

All their aim is to collect from masses....we no kuku see wetin una dey use the ones wey una don collect do....

Infact nobody should be paying this government tax...instead we should use our money to provide what for ourself what the tax is meant to provide..

The kaduna highway kidnap has the hand of government in it and I’m in support. The train service was built with massive loan and without patronage, Nigeria can’t pay back the loan.

It’s a welcome development but the money is still small.

That’s about N1.2b a year. About N15b in 12years while we took a loan of about N183b.

That line is not economically viable.

I'm sure that am older than you
Hahaha let me just laugh at your folly. I’m not here to drag who’s older with you. You don’t know my age but your response shows your lack of comprehension and puts you in a particular age bracket obviously not of someone with advance age.
You think everyone on here is one of you babies who just got to know of Nairaland in 2017.

if you know then you will realize some project you credit to Isiaka were inherited from Akala just like Seyi inherit one abandoned project from Isiaka. Mind you, Gate to Iwo road took more than 2years to construct still not completed despite the fact that its few kilometers. How could state government spent many years constructing such few kilometres yet not complete it?
Of the 10 projects that I mentioned just mention a single one inherited. I’m sure you won’t be able to name 1.

I don't give a damn about any government, I only comment based on my views
Then you should not comment at all cos obviously you lack basic knowledge of achievement

grin why are you so bittered?
again your lack of comprehension getting obvious cos that wasn’t a sign of bitterness but another way of saying you were saying gibberish

I don't sing praises of any government because non of them feed me but I only correct you because you only read the title and not body of the news. The title state he rubbished the project whereas the body read he said we need more model school than few built by isiaka administration.
What is the difference between the body and the header? Like I said, you lack comprehension. If I ask you the bottom line of the whole body I’m sure you can’t give the right answer.

It is a fact that is obvious from the article that he(Seyi) condemned the project
It is also a fact that is obvious from the article that he(Seyi) has decided to add more of the project. Meaning he’s going back to the vomit(project) he condemned.

So what exactly is your issue with my initial comment?

Is the below(our initial comment) what you call correction? Then there must be another meaning of correction and only you know about.

Read the full article before you comment!

BTW, what are Isiaka achievements?

You mean all abandoned projects?

Or mokola bridge at highly inflated rate?

I should be the one asking you that cos I don’t see how anyone living in Ibadan except a blind man will say he/she doesn’t see anything

1. Gate to mapo
2. Gate to alakia
3. Gate to akobo
4. Mokola bridge(inflated correct but let him do his own)
5. Eleyele to dugbe
6. road
7. Challenge to new garage
8. Challenge to express through ayefele
Apete road
9. Eleyele to ologun eru
10. Muslim to mosfala
11. Modern schools

And many more unknown road and other projects in and around Ibadan

All in Ibadan alone let alone saki, iseyin, ogbomoso, ibarapa

Abandoned project? How old are you? If at this age you don’t know government is continuity. Let Seyi complete them and claim them as his.

Oga gedifok out of here.

PoliticsCalabar Seaport Receives 1st Container Vessel In 13 Years by Debaiz(op): 10:51pm On Sep 27, 2019
By YUSUF BABALOLA September 27, 2019

Thirteen years after its concession, Calabar Port Complex has received its maiden Marguisa Shipping Line’s container vessel. The port has not enjoyed patronage of container liners due to draft limitations on the channel. Currently, Calabar channel has a draft of 6.4 meters at high tide, but requires Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA) to complete the dredging to the advertised draft of 9.4 meters to attract regular and bigger tonnage. But the berthing of the MV Boreas in Calabar signifies a milestone achieved through the strategic marketing of Ecomarine Terminals Limited, a terminal concessionaire in Calabar port.

The vessel has length of 116.23 meters, gross tonnage of 6569 and net tonnage of 2874. Built in 2007, the vessel working for a Spain based Marguisa, came with both laden and empty containers and securely anchored at ECM Terminals at about 13.27 HRS on Monday 23 September.

The general manager, ECM, Diran Akorede, who confirmed this said: “The berthing of the container vessel at our facility on Monday was the crowning moment of the several marketing efforts to attract a liner service to Calabar over the years.

“In October last year, we had preliminary discussion with Marguisa representative on possibility of commencing calls to Calabar. To make the call viable to Marguisa, we made several concessions on rates and co-opted other stakeholders into the efforts followed with road shows to sensitise potential clients. The maiden call of the vessel was the outcome of such efforts spearheaded by Ecomarine in conjunction with Marguisa.”

Akorede said, in preparation for receipt of container vessel, the terminal has invested massively on container handling equipment from inception of the concession most of which have been idle ever since.

“We are ISO certified and have well documented processes to ensure transparency and efficiency in our service delivery,” he said. “Our systems are fully automated and the facility is fully ISPS compliant. We also have paved stacking area that has remained unutilised over the years. For us, we have been prepared from the inception and therefore handled the discharge operations in the best professional manner.

“As a port, our pact with Marguisa is to provide and ensure efficient service delivery, quick turnaround for their vessel and incentive scheme to support their voyage profitability.

For us, the pact remains as long as the vessel continue to call our terminal.”

Akorede said ECM terminal is ready to receive more container vessels with its ultra-modern cargo handling equipment. Calabar Port has been plagued by the challenge of low draft due to the failure of Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) to dredge the channel to the advertised draft of 9.4m and since shipping has evolved to bigger tonnages requiring deeper draft, the port has been seriously constrained.

The ECM manager therefore urged NPA to urgently complete the dredging of the channel to the advertised draft of 9.4m to ease the difficulty in attracting container vessel to the terminal.

He also enjoined the ports authority to introduce a more effective incentive scheme such as the 30 per cent rebate hitherto in place before the concession.

To further facilitate patronage and easy evacuation of cargoes, he said the government should ensure quick completion of the road contract from Odukpani Junction through Ikot Ekpene to Aba, already awarded to Julius Berger.

However, he acknowledged the purposeful partnership they have enjoyed with NPA over the years, especially the commitment of the managing director of NPA, Ms Hadiza Bala Usman who from inception of her tenure has given priority attention to resolving some of the key challenges that have bedevilled the port while emphasising the need for her to ensure the completion of the dredging.

ThierryJay:
Thanks for the reminder. Now tell me, is that not the real rigging. If the voting deadline had been extended in any of the years Messi won, I can only imagine the outrage and furore that will be generated by anti-Messi peeps.

I recall that Messi scored 60 club goals that season while CR7 scored 56goals. It was his qualifiers that tipped the balance in his favour.
Of all the five awards Ronaldo won I can boldly say at least 2 cannot stand the test of rigorous probe(from opening of voting to announcement)

The Messi, Ribery and Ronaldo(pure rigging)

There was one he also won during their champions league triumphs. I think it was Valverde’s first season when Barca went nearly unbeaten. The only place he beat Messi was the CL goals. All through start of the season in August to January, he scored only 2goals. He started his CL goals in February but FIFA specifically said that voters should disregard August to October(Messi’s most productive times) but should use November ending to June(Ronaldo’s Productive time with only CL goals) as time to consider to vote.
SportsRe: Fifa Best Player Awards : Is There A Conspiracy Against Dutch Players? by Debaiz: 4:49pm On Sep 24, 2019
ThierryJay:
Which conspiracy? VVD did not take Liverpool to champs league glory. Liverpool won by virtue of notable performances from Origi, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Allison in the SF and Final. Mane and Salah in the QF. VVD's outstanding performance was in the second round against Bayern munich. How do you now think this is better than Messi's outstanding performances in the SR, QF and First leg of the SemiFinal. The La Liga that Messi won, he was the main protagonist, so when you combine all of these individual factors, Messi takes the cake, except you are being unobjective.

Many players have won the award without winning any major trophy in the year they won it, case in point, Ronaldinho in 2004, Figo in 2001, Zidane in 2003, CR7 in 2013.

The FIFA Best player is first and foremost, an individual award, and in all honesty, VVD and Messi's performances over the past season are still miles apart.

You did not raise this issue when CR7 won over Ribery on the basis of individual performances even though Ribery won all the most important trophies. I submit that you are just a pained CR7 fan.
@bold

Even that season, online leaks had it that Messi was leading the votes before FIFA postponed the voting deadline and Ronaldo went to scored 4goals against Sweden in qualifiers. The votes that came in after the postponement and 4goals tipped the scale in favor of Ronaldo.

Angelfrost:
When you say Nigeria Imports, is the importation done by federal government using taxpayers' money, with no return or the importation is done by business men who recoup their cost from profit made when sold??!...

I understand the economy of this nation is in tatters, but churning out or tossing bloated figures to confuse the lay man is very unbecoming for learned elders in power... I humbly stand to be corrected tho. I am no economist, just applying common street sense here.
Those who import, they sell in nigeria and collect Naira. Is it naira that they take to where they import from? No.

What currency do they use? $$

Where do they get the dollars $$ from? From the FG through the CBN.

Why from the FG through the CBN? Cos it’s only FG that do business that earn that huge kind of dollar quantity. Not even all the banks in Nigeria combined makes the kind of dollars that the FG makes.

What of dangote, the richest black man? The maximum dollars Dangote can make in a year is not up to $5billion(not even likely) and dangote needs the dollars to also buy things to run his businesses. So he won’t sell it to someone who wants to use it to buy fish.

So basically FG is now saying they don’t want to sell the dollars to fish importers again when we have fishermen all over Niger delta. They want to use the dollars to do more important things like construct roads, railways, airports, buy ammunition’s to fight bokoharam.

I am a young professional sharing a room and parlour self contain with a friend. Now my friend has always been in the habit of bringing all sorts of girls to the house. This is a conduct which I have tried my best to ignore in order to allow peace to reign.

At some point he brought this particular girl and she stayed for sometime with us. From my conversations with her, she has an impressive body count and really dislikes condoms. At some point, she became very sick. Had white patches in her mouth and was very feverish. We had to take her to the hospital so she doesn't die in the house. The Doctor ran several tests on her and her HIV status was positive.

About a week later, I took my laptop to work and when I returned, I dipped my hands in the bag to retrieve my key only to be severely cut by a razor blade my roommate left in the bag. I asked him who owns it and he said he it belongs to the girl and he put it there hoping to dispose of it later. My heart bled. I rushed that night at about 9:45pm to Ikoyi military hospital to get PEP, but the hospital said I have to wait until the next day as the pharmacy had closed. The next morning at about 11:00am, after a lot of delay, I finally got the anti retroviral drugs.

Now after taking the drugs for about 3 days, the side effects were terrible and unbearable. I already had a subsisting kidney problem and the drugs was making it worse so I had to stop. What I want to know is what are my chances if I permanently discontinue the drugs? Am I going to seroconvert? I am scared shitless and if this happens to make me HIV+, I am seriously considering suicide.

Pls help me people.

Pls help me to move this post. I need to get as much input as possible.
You’re not positive. The virus don’t survive for long outside the blood fluid. Had the blade cut you the same day the girl was cut then you should be afraid.

Don’t kill yourself before your time. I’m 100% sure you’re not positive. Unless something happened between you and the girl that you didn’t tell us.
