macof:Once again your arrogance in ignorance. Continue and good luck. |
cbrass:Picture of wild lion? Are you mentally stable? If you don’t know the meaning of “wild” then google is your friend now. I’m not your teacher. You too bring picture of wild goats. Or you want to say there are no wild goats. Like I said earlier you’re trying to be smart and funny but the actual joke is on you cos it’s obvious your knowledge of the meaning of “WILD” is shallow. |
nlPoster:If you’re talking about my description of leopard and tiger or other animals then you’re wrong. Does anything I put up look like something anyone can just think of and start writing without having prior knowledge? You may try and look up on Nat geo wild videos on YouTube about tigers, lions and leopards. If you’re referring to Amotekun being a leopard, not a cheetah and EKUN being a tiger and not a leopard, then every post here is based on assumptions no one has a fact of why a particular animal is called Amotekun but we can rely on the fact that over 1000 hunters and traditionalists are involved in the “Amotekun” program but they chose a leopard as their logo. Add that to 6state governors, over a dozen first class Kings and numerous educationists who all sat down to draft and design the program. You can’t possibly say an unknown Nairalander knows more than all of them just because he felt Tiger doesn’t live in Africa. |
ayyoshert:Yiyo means sneaking not stalking. Tigers sneak, leopards lay ambush and wait. |
macof:Mr Yoruba knowledge. If you can right off someone’s knowledge just because it’s from Nat geo wild shows how arrogant in ignorance you are not only that, this shows your unwillingness to learn from superior researchers(Nat Geo). Your unwillingness to learn and arrogance is quite evident from your right up. You believe a 7year old cannot know more than you but your display has shown that not only will a 7year old better your knowledge but you will be schooled. You said Yoruba people from several platforms have said it yet the logo of Amotekun security outfit has a leopard in it. All online sources including but not limited to google translate says its leopard. Are you saying you know more than 6state Governors, scores of first class traditional Kings, hundreds if not thousands of local hunters and traditional worshippers who were consulted before the project started? If this is not arrogance then I don’t know what it is. I won’t continue engaging an arrogant ignorant. Now shift let me see front.
|
cbrass:You’re trying to be smart and funny but your ignorance is displaying the opposite. Google wild lion then you’d get your picture and information. |
nlPoster:Your link has answered that question in bold in the affirmative. Because yorubas have it as proverb doesn’t mean they’ve seen it. Language evolve and brings meaning from other languages. Yorubas romance with the Hausas and Arabs(have same name for Tigers and lions) is long standing. Alubosa is derived from Hausa and Arabic. |
macof:Watch Nat geo wild, you’d get enough info. My 7year old nephew will tell you lions kill leopards. Even if it’s to steal their prey let alone when it steps into lion territory. Tiger is the only cat family that do not fear the lion though they avoid each other where they meet. The fact that it never existed in africa doesn’t mean yorubas won’t have name for it. Sharks(Akurakuda) and octopus(eja elesemejo) are not renowned much in west African waters coupled with the average Yoruba mans fear of water but yorubas have name for it Sea gulls(Peju Peju) are birds of Southern Africa and European waters, yorubas have a name for it |
foleskay:India has both wild Lions and tigers But the op has that point they’re not found in Africa but that doesn’t mean the yorubas don’t know the tiger to be a fierce rival of a lion. |
nlPoster:Yes every cat walks and stalks but only a tiger does it to hunt. They all have their MO Lions hunt in packs or alone with brute force. The least successful solo hunters Leopard lay in ambush either crouching or jumping on prey from trees. Cheetah does it by its speed before tripping their prey before going for the neck. Tiger is the only one that doesn’t chase its victims. They rather sneak up on their prey because their stripes disguise them in the thick savana jungles of Asia. They’re the most successful solo hunters. They hardly loose their prey cos before the prey knows a thing, they’re already too close. They may look basic but they’re quite different. |
Demzlent:This is totally wrong every Yoruba proverb points to the fact that EKUN is Tiger. Kaka ki kiniun s’akapo EKUN, won a yaa s’ode won loto’to ni A leopard can never be compared to a lion in any way let alone suggesting having same hunting purse. Lions kill Leopard every time they come in contact. Only a tiger can stand up to a lion. Yiyo EKUN bi t’ojo ko Leopard are not known to tiptoe when hunting. They ambush their prey. Either by jumping on them from the top or crouching to the flow and wait. Tigers are known worldwide to be the most sneaky of all the cats. They have the ability to walk on dried leaves without making sound. This is helped by their large meaty and fluffy paws that makes each of the step to be soft. |
Sanromeo:I can 100% say that 80% of the road projects named in these article were completed(not even under construction) shortly before Ajimobi left office but let them keep confusing their gullible online supporters. People of oyo state are watching. I trust my people. |
nameo:You should be smarter than this. Read the Supreme Court judgement. No. You won’t but you’d jump on a drop outs(dejis) tweet and start forming king Kong. 236,600 votes from 218 polling units were already counted and recorded to belong to hope uzodima. So there no possibility others will share from it. It was merely excluded during collation and the Supreme Court ordered it to be added back. Simple. If at this stage of your life, you can still come online and write that INEC is controlled by FG then you need to re-evaluate your entire existence. |
Officialgarri:This is exactly what I told my cousin this evening. I just blasted him this evening, Insulted him, insulted his education not even knowing it was dejis tweet that he was reading from. I told him the person sharing the news could’ve been a drop out and alas I was right. Deji is actually a drop out |
Ok |
Lies The last report was explicit enough and it put it that their agreement came to an end so why are they connecting it to border closure again. They must sha call the dog a bad name to hang it. |
helinues:Confessions |
Obdk:3 bedroom flat not 3storey building |
Rosskii:It’s not a typo. That works out to be N4.8m each. Very fair enough. |
Too bad |
Daviddson:Yes it was a shock because France has hijacked the ECO currency. It is no more ECO in the sense of it as agreed upon. It is now to be backed by euro. All countries signing it are now into another round of European slavery. |
This guy just lives for attention and clout. Just like a woman. |
BitCraftman:Ok |
BitCraftman:And under the sharia law, they will be beheaded without delay. No time for life imprisonment or those long useless sentences. |
executive12:Yes they did and it’s not a surprise to anyone cos we all know Nigerian police are corrupt. The question I found confusing is, how did requesting for bribe now turn to arresting of a federal lawmaker? He must have gotten angry with the bribe request, then order his boys to start driving away those cars cos he must have believed that with his position as a lawmaker he can get away with it. |
NGRsenate:So you believe a whole lawmaker, Not ordinary lawmaker but one who is paying millions in tax and levies to lagos state will be locked up just because he accused the police of demanding bribe? Akin Alabis excuse is smelling. Smelling of putrid lies. Even if Nigerian police are mad, we know they don’t do such with politicians let alone a federal lawmaker. Yes I’m sure they will demand bribe but to arrest him on top of it is a boa rant lie. If Shina hadn’t attempted anything stupid like threaten of ordered his boys to go and carry the vehicles, they won’t arrest him. If he was arrested because he went to bail people. Why were the people that went with him also arrested? |
itsme01:I read PMB has handed it back to them but when it will start is what I don’t know. I believe Ajaokuta should’ve been the first thing for Any serious government. Steel is the main reason the auto industry bill GEJ signed couldn’t have any effect. Everything needed for the development of any country is directly or indirectly tied to steel. One of the earliest and oldest source of foreign trade is steel and one of the reason colonialists leave their countries for africa is in search for steel. That’s the reason why the first thing they mostly do is to construct rails for easy movement. PMB has done a lot but If Ajaokuta is not complete before he leaves, then to me he has failed irrespective of what he’s done. |
What have you been doing in 2years? |
itsme01:You captured everything nigeria needs in this comment. I’ve been telling people about the importance of Ajaokuta steel to a country under construction for a very long time. How can a huge country with massive structural gap be importing steel. I still want to know anything that doesn’t involve iron. Just Anything from start to finish that doesn’t involve iron and here we are importing everything iron. People keep saying power is the key to our development. I believe the key to our development is Ajaokuta. The steel China used for construction in the 21century alone is more than what the whole west used in 100years. The fact report is online. The price we used to construct all those new rail, trains to be used on it, Dangote refinery and most of our projects would’ve been more than halved if we had Ajaokuta running. Not to talk of the export potential to west Africa, whole of Africa and beyond. |
am4truth:US placed nigeria under watch because of El-zarzarky a “Muslim” not because of any Christian and you and CAN are here shouting Islamization. Where is the sense in that. |
Bedwyr:Is calling for anarchy same thing as disagreement with govt? Is planning to bundle out an elected govt same thing as disagreement with govt? Is threatening the security outfit of a country same thing as disagreement with govt? Is coup planning disagreement with govt? Aisha Yesufu, Fani kayode, Deji Adeyanju, even Atiku have all disagreed with the govt at one point or Another what have they not being arrested? Don’t let us rationalize illegality because we don’t like a govt. Sowore’s plan was simply a call to anarchy. Whether he has the capacity or not, No country will fold its arms and wait to find out if someone has the capacity to distabilze it’s national security. And when it comes to National Security, the saner clime just laid down the gauntlet —Nothing like due process in preserving national security—. |
Imagine this. Will the rogue marketers or their relatives/dependents ever say Buhari is doing anything good? Best believe they’d be part of those cursing Buhari day and night. The income and survival of most Nigerians are built on or tied to corrupt proceeds either directly, indirectly or remotely. Buhari is blocking a lot of all those streams of incomes so I don’t expect anything but curses from those who benefit from such. In the end Nigeria shall prevail. |
can you show us some pictures
