Omoooooooooo I’ll be on cloud 9 because this whole process started as a joke and it becoming a reality gradually means a lot to me. I literally woke up one morning to begin the process after saying I will never relocate outside Nigeria.

I'm so happy for you. Cheers to greater feats.
Thank you sooo much. I was so excited when I finally got my ECA. I wonder how excited I’ll be when I get ITA if I felt this ecstatic for IQAS ECA.

Good advice. How do I get started if I may ask because the thread is so long.
Read page one so get an insight, click on the shortcuts there. Trust me it will be very helpful. If there’s any ambiguity, you can ask questions.

Please has anyone been able to make payment on Iqas recently, the 4.15 watch has failed me for 2 days now.
You have to be there before 4.15 and try to be on the payment page by like 4.10 , count the seconds with a timer and once it’s 4.15 on the dot click proceed to payment. Make sure you’re using strong internet connection has too many people in the website at the same time makes it really slow

Please can you have a look at your email?
I used IQAS while my husband is WES but it’s just a one sheet /page document stating your name , date of birth , type of degree being evaluated, year it was started and ended , it’s equivalency in Canada and the number on the top left hand side that ends with IMM(I can’t remember any other information that’ll be in the document.

Thank you. Someone told me that I will need an additional 80 dollars for international courier? Kindly confirm please.
True but it’s optional(You can pay for that or the standard which is $7/$10). What is need is the soft copy which will be available on your account when your evaluation is completed and it will be emailed to you also. some people have equally gotten their hard copies via the standard courier But it took longer time maybe like 30 days upwards

Still trying to make payment... do IQAS do secondary verification like Wes as well?
No they don’t but they’ll certainly have a means of verifying

Thank you for your response Debbie. My MSc is from a university in the UK. How much should I set aside for everything in total? I have not actually started the process.
For Uk universities the process is faster with Wes and doesn’t require the yeye verification process again. Since you’re evaluating one degree which is your highest degree I think it’s just the $230 CAD. IELTS (this one u can’t say How much exactly but per exam is 75k) . To get in the pool you need these two first of all and then other expenses will follow. Thankfully the expenses are in bits so it may not really impact you that much as opposed if we all had to pay the whole thing at once

Then she needs to document well all her health issues, find the appropriate clinic in US and ask for visa. Yet she can be denied anyway, she can be asked why she doesn't go to geographically closer country with better health services.

You don't need to attack me, I am just explaining how it works. And how is the worldwide situation now, I doubt any pregnant foreign lady gets a birthing visa to US. Everybody realize, even travelling is a high health risk with corona virus and all and some are just trying to push the anchor baby American citizenship. Go to South Africa, great doctors there and much closer or waste your money applying for US visa.
I’m not attacking you, she has a visa to the USA already she just needed someone who recently traveled on such premise to fill her in.
Perinatology isn’t a vast field of medical study in Africa and yes there may be one in South Africa but the well experienced ones are in America , even when I got to America I still had to find the ones with experience with managing people of my case. It’s hard dealing with a situation that has no treatment that’s why you’re saying South Africa South Africa , high bp in pregnancy has no treatment and your life is hanging on a thread as you’re swallowing all sorts of medications to stabilise your blood pressure

Nigerians can be very cooperative and uncooperative too at the same time and I’ll like to believe this exists in every ethnicity all over the world. I’m on a certain group where a group of lawyers took it upon themselves to help others with their licensing process and the whole process can be slightly costly, most especially buying materials to read for the exams and these ladies and gentlemen shared notes they purchased with over $1k to those struggling and couldn’t afford it on the group but guess what ? Some Nigerians went to inform the writers of the books and you know how big a thing copy right can be abroad . These people were even being threatened from being barred by the law society abroad just on top help to people they don’t even know from no where . But this hasn’t deterred them from helping but they’ve stopped sharing notes , now you use your money to buy notes yourself.

Skace I don’t really know about the situation of things now at the border , but make sure you’re carrying enough money and your correspondence from the doctor here in naija and abroad. Be sure to talk to a perinatologist or a MFM. You will carry to term in Jesus name kiss

Good job brother. Don’t relent or be discouraged . I saw the attitude of Nigerians first hand when I lived in Upper marlboro area of Maryland as a student. It was all about competing over who owned the best clothing, who partied the most and other frivolous activities.
On Saturday a friend mentioned BCS to me and how he could earn 33 points if he passed it. Between then and now I’ve mentioned it to about 5 people who I feel may be interested or may stand a chance. I may not have POF to offer them but it’s my own little way of contributing
Some people will tell me no they prefer student route I’ll tell them okay let me share the link for EE with you and read up on it . I’ve tried to convince many many people, some agree and begin while some say they’re looking for agent to help(another work telling them to DIay it’s straight forward) and some will say they prefer student route. What they don’t know and I try to tell them is that the money you spend on Fsw is nothing compared to your school fees

42 is not old to give a birth unless you have a very serious health condition and you need the medical help not available in your country. You will need a solid medical history to convince the US embassy to give you visa.
high blood pressure in pregnancy is a very very serious issue and can cause death for both mother and baby, it is even the major cause of infant and maternal mortality . I’ve been a victim twice At my young age so I’m talking from experience. 42 and high bp in pregnancy is very high risk . Please read up on preeclampsia and enclampsia . She needs to see a maternal fetal specialist and we don’t have that field of study here I had to go abroad for it

major cause is poverty. The Chinese and indians have money from their own country. Common proof of fund of 12k most of us dont have it. But these Chinese and indians have money ( in millions) , most of the real estate in Toronto have been bought by them. Alongside businesses like haulage, logistics, shipping etc. A Chinese man can open a big restaurant or supermarket and use it to bring over his people, Poor man no fit help another poor man
I’m telling you na poverty dey worry nigeria no be our fault . I know many people who have been at this but money won’t let them shine , even if it’s to borrow they don’t have anyone to borrow them.
Personally once I see you fit into express entry criteria, I take it upon Myself to tell people, “oh have you heard of express entry”

Pay slips for what when it wasn’t requested for ? It has been over flogged here to keep your application as simple as it can be. Just give them what they asked for, if they need additional documentation they’ll ask you for it.
