Onlytruth: ^^ Contd. To ask a non-Igbo Nigerian to speak the truth on the issue that slightly favor Ndigbo in the contest of Nigeria polity is akin to pulling a tooth. |
bittyend: Bittyend is wicked...I just realized you are a dimwitted sucker. |
T9ksy: Like i told you earlier, you are a shameless pathological liar and an "agbaya" to boot. At what time in your warped revisionist mind did NYM became Zik's party? The morraph.ocker wasn't even in the country when the party was formed in 1934 as Lagos youth movement by activists such as James Churchill Vaughan, Dr Kofo Abayomi, Hezekiah Oladipo Davies, Ernest Sissei Ikoli, and Samuel Akinsanya. It changed its name to NYM in 1936 to reflect a more nationalistic flavour. You have written like a moronic dingbat. Let me make it clear to you that neither Herbert Macaulay nor Azikiwe owned any political party. However, they were members of certain parties. I detest the idea of a person reading some skewed facts on Wikipedia and rushes to Nairaland to vomit it based on tribal instigation. My response to another goofy writer such as you was to set the record straight that Zik did not serve as political apprentice under Herbert Macaulay. I went further to point out that Zik’s NYM, rightfully so because he was a member of the party, hammered Macaulay’s NNDP, rightfully so because Macaulay was a member of NNDP, in the Lagos Town council election. I guess more exploratory research would have done you some good than trying to score a cheap tribal point. Again, Zik was in Lagos in 1934 and later left for Accra where he became the editor of African Morning Post and returned to Lagos later where he founded West African Pilot. |
bisiaet: I'm most delighted as an young Igbo man that the Mallam say what they have just said Now biko where are my brother the super talk mr name callings where art thou now talk ooooooo show your face Hausaman now say he owns APGA so what do we do nowPlease disregard the treachery of the lagcity, the moronic thread initiator, who stupidly formulated a thread title opposite the remarks made by Alhaji Sani Abdullahi Shinkarfi about the APGA and ownership. APGA was a national party not sectional or tribal party as rightfully stated by Shinkarfi. The title of the thread runs contrary to the facts stated by the national secretary of APGA. By the way, ACN is not a national party. So it is matter of misguided endeavor to put APGA in the same pedigee with a tribal party such as ACN. |
lagcity: Why do you ppl enjoying lies? I hate to get involved in this nonsense but Igbos are the sencond fiddlers. It is either Yoruba is the boss or in the opposition like we currently are. Igbos are either second fiddlers or totally out of the picture. Ndigbo, stop this nonsense.I think your mental issue is beyond comprehension. The symptom you have exhibited in the above post over my comment points to lunacy. |
agitator: So more states for the SE means more population. Kai, walai I like all the schools you attended.I am wondering which school you attended that equals the number of delegate to population of a state. Each state in Nigeria has three senators regardless of numerical strength in population. During primaries, states are allocated certain number of delegates and Alhaji Sani Abdullahi Shinkarfi rightfully pointed out that north has 19 states as against five from southeastern zone even though he was wrong in the analogy because it should have been north versus south instead north versus southeast. |
bittyend: But can the same dude say the northerners will decide what happens in ACN?If there is any political reading needed to be extracted from last election, SW for all intent and practical purposes is now politically irrelevant in Nigerian polity. By the way, which political quagmire has either SW or Middle Belt ever brokered in Nigeria? |
bittyend: OBJ lost the 1999 election.. He was rigged into power..You are beyond help. |
bittyend: The question is can a Northern member of ACN utter the same statement credited to Shinkarfi about APGA? Never...I guess your comprehensible deficiency has also affected your memory. It was not long time ago when one northern school leaver was telling your godfather, Tinubu, that ACN is not Tinubu’s father property. |
bittyend: The question is can a Northern member of ACN utter the same statement credited to Shinkarfi about APGA? Never...When Ndigbo were huffing to vote for OBJ who has been dumped by his Yoruba people, I vehemently opposed the idea because Yoruba will never vote for Igbo candidate and loudmouthed dimwit such as you will foolishly point at OBJ’s election as Yorubas’ conquering ability. |
bittyend: What have ndigbo achieved since ZIK in 1959?You tend to overlook the points made by Ndigwe and erroneously rolled over the factual statement made by Alhaji Sani Abdullahi Shinkarfi on demcarcy as a game of numbers. It is an apparent arrogation of idiocy on your character to invoke Herbert Macaulay whose party was hammered in Lagos city council election by Zik’s NYM. |
bittyend: This what you get by chest-beating all the time.. Truth be told, Northerners don't rate Igbos, period...You surely appeared as product of the miscue found in UPE in western region via Awo. If what you implied in the above is the essence of sitting in history class, I suggested your parents should sue for a refund. |
The Alhaji Sani Abdullahi Shinkarfi of a man has regurgitated what I have been saying about democracy as a game of numbers. If the northern region, as a unit, has the number, it is a determinant factor on who becomes the flag bearer of any political party in the country baring any other underlying factor. Anybody Igbo man who argues against additional state for southeastern zone to match the number of states in the northern zones has no case against the ranting of Shinkarfi. |
Due to arrant stupidity found in the so-called civilization, European and American culture, by Africans in general and Nigerians in particular, the rate of divorce and unmarried women is very high which leads to other social decadence in our midst. I had taken polygamy over many failed marriages and numerous unwedded mothers breeding illegitimate children any day. I am ashamed that Africans seemed to be murderously brainwashed on the issue of the so-called modern time and modernization. If the world has turned into so-called modern, what stopped Europeans, Asians and Americans from rushing to Africa to take wives? Marriage is an agreeable union between a man and a woman or a man and women. |
Onlytruth: Bros Dede1, Ndigbo si na "nti amara ama eji ya anu ihe, soso oji ka agaghi akpanye ya" -(a cut off ear can still hear, only that you cannot use it to hold colanut. Actually, this is a Nnewi proverb, and the interpretation may vary from one clan of Igbo to another). It basically means that I have already heard and acknowledged your point about us forming a Republic of Igboland, instead of Biafra. Nwanne, if we cannot even look the Nigerian devils in the eyes and tell them to give us our share of federal projects, how can we look international players in the eyes?I have likened Nigeria and anticipated Republic of Igbo land to the comparison between scenes of broken or divided house and united house. Nigeria has a concurrent subliminal conflict among the members of the house which brewed a culture that shuns patriotism and encourages ethnocentrism and corruption. Individuals elected into political offices by Nigerians have no common link with the masses. They are elected into cabal which has every intention to stockpile money so that their offspring will perpetuate their unfinished business, confuse the masses and reduce them to paupers so that a mere sudden handout could turn them into a political zombie, maintain a stagnated economic status quo so that people are on each other’s throat and willing to annihilate each other on slightest of the provocation and make sure Nigeria resembles an impenetrable jungle that will be unattractive to its citizens abroad. In Republic of Igbo land, unlike Nigeria, will be a united house with a common destiny for all. The republic shall be a place where patriotism shall flow like a river and the need to maintain urgent sense of competitiveness shall remain the motto. It shall remain a place where people will thrive to get it right from the start. Let me further buttress my point with what happened in Owerri few years ago about Otokoto’s saga. If Owerri was Nigeria, such action will never happen due to ethnic sensitivity. Owerri was taken over by hoodlums and rascals to the point that a once lovely city such as Owerri suddenly became death spot. But one fine morning, Ndigbo decided they have had enough from the rascals and set out for house cleaning without glancing over their shoulders about being accused of ethnic cleansing. Anybody who looked back before the revolution against Otokoto and what Owerri later became would understand that “Umunna wu ike”. |
There have been too many hyperbolic assertions about the achievements or lack thereof of Mrs. Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti by those who think a repeated falsehood will become truth. An empty statement of event without date or place of the event is a regrettable effort in futility. I have measured respect for Mrs. Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti but she was a co-founder of most of the stuffs accredited to her name. A woman who did not have the same level of education or sophistication of Mrs. Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti ignited the famous Aba riot of 1929 that shook the foundation of British colonial rule in Nigeria. We have heard statement about a certain person falling from the sky, an iconic statement that found itself into history books, yet it is questionable. Until those who would bet their lives on wild statement of event supply the date and model of car driven by respectable Mrs. Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti, the claim she was Nigeria's first woman to drive a car remains a questionable piece of conjecture. |
joeyfire: I can bet they intercepted these weapons because they are under pressure (as arms dealers) to help check the spread of illegal weapons. I can bet that what was found was really heavy stuff ie automatic weapons and smg'sMy people say that it is only a fool who goes chasing rat when his/her house is gutted by fire. |
Onlytruth: This question has bugged my mind for weeks and months now. It has got to the stage that I cannot sleep well at nights while pondering this question. I remember vividly how we lobbied (at least added our voices) to the appointment of Anyim Pius Anyim to the position of Secretary to the Federal Government. There are such other Igbo personalities now as Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala and others. I would not be exaggerating if I say that we hold strategic positions in this government. When I talk about Republic of Igbo land in the light of disintegration of Nigeria, whether peaceful or bloody, I meant every word of the statement. Nigeria has and will continue to use certain elements in Nigeria against Ndigbo. I am for anything that will lead to dismemberment of Nigeria. I tend to feign novice when Ndigbo talk about Onicha riverport, second River Niger Bridge at Onicha/Asaba and Enugu International airport. When I look at the environmental and structural condition of Igwe Ocha (Port Harcourt) international airport and number of international flights allowed into it, I conclude that the case of eastern region of Nigeria is more diabolical than people tend to perceive. |
Grandpapa, it's obvious that you're bored today. Your type don dey expire for market. Forget that one.
I am all smiles when people of weak sign of knowledge call me Groundpapa due to constant stream of superior statements of the fact from me. if made into a vehicle, I am still a less driven Bugatti supercar. |
Who is it rough for exactly? I hope your dry market is legal sha. Anywaz, don't worry, someone will soon come to "wet" your market. Just not me. Walk on, grandpa.
I understand the stunt you are trying to pull by feigning ignorance of the market. Of course, the market is legal as money tender. |
I already told you that I don't dig your style, and I'm sure that Kobo doesn't dig you either. So stop with the catish style
Are you insinuating I am rough with you? Since the market is unbearable dry, I thought it could be nice to draw the attention of the 78year old former Governor of Kogi State toward you and kobo. |
PhysicsQED: That edict = 100% derivation. But honestly, why limit it to regions? Why not go down to the LGA/council level? We should not go petty on the issue of derivation because only eastern region seemed to be politically awake when others remained in a deep political slumber on the issue. There were very limited amenities the LGA or County Council provided to the masses and I do believe there was a formula used to disburse revenue collected within the regions. Also, there were communities not endowed with big markets as to raise sufficient money from market stalls and licenses. It was the responsibility of regional government to make sure development reached all nooks and crannies of region since it was the essence of three tier system of government. Igwe Ocha (Port Harcourt) produced neither palm kernel nor coal nor limestone when the eastern regional government deemed it necessary to make the city one of the tripod major cities in the region. I usually distaste idea of introduction of crude oil in any political exercise because it has literally destroyed Nigeria. Ordinary marital inquiry leads to questions such “does your community have crude oil wells or do you work with a crude oil company”. |
Some political minnows will smile at Decree 8 for a simple matter of idiosyncrasy and totally forgot that eastern regional Revenue Collection Edict 11 of 1967 challenged the sincerity of such foolish decree. Talking about 13% or even 50% derivation policy in today’s Nigeria is a mockery of political vision. It was apparent lack of political wisdom that led the southerners to join force against the Ndigbo and Biafrans in 1967 war of identity. |
kettykin: Actually what Asari said is the simple truth , the Niger Deltans are the only zone that has stood and dared the whole country and went scot free , first they nearly cut the revenue live wire of the country , oil supply that brings 90% of the Forex and they were given Amnesty on a platter to pacify them, and they are the only group that has controlled the Military and Econonmic power at the same time, however Niger Deltans also happen to be the most foolish set of people in the world, They have been able to do all this basically because they have the liver , the might and will power and the total support igbos and some middle belters.Either this above post is a conjectural crap borne out of stupidity or childishness. It is a culpable insanity to mention Ijo in the same sentence with Ndigbo when writing about danger of disintegration faced by Nigeria. Ijo has never engaged in a peaceful wrestling match in Rivers State, which has been won by someone from Ikwerre or Ahoada LGA, talk less a battle where there is no umpire. Let me make it simply clear to moronic dingbats such as Asari Dokubo that Nigeria has remained flatfooted in dealing with rascal fishermen in the creeks because of Igbo and Biafran factor. No country has ever involved in two civil wars and survives to tell the tale. Any unchecked military onslaught on the drunken fishermen in the so-called Niger Delta definitely will attract uneasiness from Ndigbo that might lead to unwanted escalation of the conflict. Nigeria is hanging in precarious balance since the civil war ended and any slight shift of the balance could reopen old wounds. To be honest, Ijo should be in constant contact with almighty begging to keep Nigeria standing up even on shaky legs. |
Africans should endeavor to disabuse their minds away from the acts of brainwash they were subjected by the Europeans. The River Niger was flowing and Africans were fetching water from the river before Mongo Park and Lander Brothers ever set their dirty feet on Africa. If there was any form of discovery, it was making the existence of the river known to Europeans which occasioned colonization. |
Kobojunkie = 14 Ileke-IdI = 15 |
The dimwitted losers who are members of the so-called Anambra State branch of Importers Association of Nigeria have no business poke-nosing on issue beyond their authority. When did the jackasses and their idiotic association become Nigeria? |
coogar: you are a troglodyte.Nigeria is indeed a wasteland. Can someone tell this jackass to read a believable history of the lady named Mrs. funmilayo ransome kuti before spewing crap on behalf of her? You can not even handle the simple arithmetic from the date she was born to the time she graduated from high school. |
dayokanu: I think some people are just born reetardedDayolodo: You are a born fool to remotely insinuate you hold any form of monopoly on historical facts. If I had not travelled to Abeokuta in the late 80s, the one-road dusty and dirty town where the alleged first test-drive took place, I would have given your childish drivel a second look. |
See your life . . .was he the only man that had discernable accomplishment during his time ? Was there any forbes-like record that assessed and proclaimed him as the first millionaire ?
Do you think I give a ratarse about Forbes-like record? |
The only thing that is killing you is that the said person happens to be a yoruba and nothing else to gain from your usual smooth talk. Was it also on record that oju-iku's father was the first millionaire in Nigeria ? |
