Based on comment from Igbo against protesters.

You wonder where their agitation for Biafra is.

They thought those people killed in lekki till gates are only yorubas.

What ever happened in Lagos affect all. All tribes are here.

Please stop this shameful display. This mindset is typical of Nigerian. IPOB will support any seat-at-home order which will bring an end to Nigeria talk less full scale riot. Look pal, I do not care if Nigeria survives in northern region of Nigeria, all I want is total and unconditional end to this British creation called Nigeria.

Politics / Re: Lessons From The Pasts Military Coups In Nigeria by Dede1(m): 10:15am On Oct 21, 2020
rainbownigeria:
Let us go back to the memory Lane. In August 1962, the Federal Guard (presently known as the Brigade of Guards) was established and ,150 of its initial 200 elite fighters were deployed from Enugu battalion to Lagos. It was the largest battalion in the country with 26 officers and 843 Non Commissioned Officers (NCO's). From the inception of Brigade of Guards between 1962 to 1964.

It was commanded by several officers including Lieutenant Colonel Ogunewe, Captain Mobolaji Johnson (who later became Lagos State Military Administrator), and Obioha before Major Donatus Okafor who was the then Commanding Officer (CO), who was one of the January 15, 1966 coup plotters. When Major Donatus Okafor left for Britain in 1965 temporarily for a course. Captain Joseph Garuba (Yakubu Gowon in-law) temporarily became the Commanding Officer (CO). When Major Donatus Okafor (who was one of the coup plotters) returned from Britain he took over his position.

Please get your facts straight. The Federal Guard was not up to the strength of a battalion. Even the real designated 2nd Battalion unit in Ikeja was not up to the strength of a battalion too.

This is an opportunity to end Nigeria as configured not to create Biafra. An equitable Nigeria is good for all. Nigerians must hold steadfastly to this opportunity either to see off Nigeria or bring fundamental changes which should include the right of Nigerian citizens to bear arm.

Do these fools in northern region of Nigeria realize "One-Nigeria" is the coinage of northern region of Nigeria? I cannot speak for westerners and Midwesterners, however the easterners had no use for such idiotic coinage. How are these dingbats so forgetful? 1967 era in Nigeria was less than 55 years.

tribalistic ediot. what percentage of south east votes did buhari get? what percentage of northern votes did Jonathan get? now tell me what percentage of south west votes did Jonathan get? Jonathan got well above 35% of southwest votes. he even won a state here. this goes a long way to show that the southwest is the most objective region in the country today. the south south and south east voted massively for GEJ while the north voted massively forvPMB. you should channel your bitterness elsewhere

There is nothing tribalistic or idiotic about the saga in Nigeria. There is something wrong about Nigeria for its inhabitants. My humble suggestion is disintegration so that future debates should not bring about southwest, southeast, south-south, northeast, northwest or even north central.

Not disputing gun shots, gun shots doesn't mean massacre.

For the sake of idiocy, let me play along with your plank of argument. Massacre: an indiscriminate and brutal slaughter of people.
In grammatical analysis, only a fool will refer to two persons as a person instead of people. What happened in Lekki is quite unbecoming of a professional army. The killing was pure indiscriminate and brutal as wounds had suggested. The protesters were not hit on the legs or below the waist but heads. I had resigned my commission if I am still a member of Nigerian armed forces.

Sowore is a US agent of destabilzation. He is a US plant and a stooge, and therefore an enemy of this country. Sahara Reporters was funded by US imperialist groups like the Ford foundation and other nefarious 'New World Order' entities. Now they've sent him to come and start conflict via ''revolution''. This is the sort of thing they do in places like Syria, Yemen, Congo, Afghanistan. They recruit local agent provocateurs to destabilize their target countries, then THEY come in as ''saviours'' to ''liberate'' the country. Same ol' same ol'.

At least, you got to have country to ensure an enemy. Nigeria does not qualify as a country.

Facts and figures from 1999 clearly reveals that the south westerners are the most electorally enlightened nigerians.in 2003,five sitting governors lost their elections.in total, incumbents have lost their reelection bids 9 times.apart from 2003 and 2007,they have never given any party in presidential polls up to 70% of the votes.there is no state in the southwest where a different party from the ruling party does not have any legislative seat including lagos.
In the south east,an incumbent lost an election just once in 2011.the average vote for presidential election is 90%.
In the ss,no incumbent has ever lost presidential election.the average vote for pdp is 90%.a state in the ss rivers gave pdp 2 million votes in 2003,the highest ever.
In the northwest, incumbent governors have lost election three times, once in zamfara, one in kano and one in kaduna.the average vote for presidential poll is 80%.
In the north central, incumbent governors have lost elections on three occasions and just like the west, they dont give up to 70% in presidential polls.
In the north east, incumbents have lost elections 4 times and presidential vote percentage is less than 80%.

From the above,it is clear that the south west is the most politically enlightened and sophisticated followed by the northeast and central while the south east/south south arw the worst in terms of this rankings.

1. I totally feel bad for the wounded and the folks responsible for the unfortunate incident should be apprehended and prosecuted.

2. Nigerians need to stop acting like ignorant and illiterate people, we need to stop blowing things out of proportions, it's just sad how even educated adults and even the usual political opportunist and vultures ran to twitter to shout and yell massacre when in fact what transpired was not any kind of massacre. How many people died and how many were slaughtered? NONE.

3. We know the unusuals suspects, the anti Nigerian elements and evil political forces are hoping and praying that things roll out of control and they are using horrible and inflammable words to further their evil agenda, but Nigeria is not breaking up, this is a democracy so if grabbing political power is your goal, take your votes to the ballot boxes and stop acting like lawless hoodlums and illiterates.

Since you regarded yourself as literate and educated, have you seen soldiers from developed world countries fire a shot in the air talk less shoot at unarmed protesters? It is not the duty of a country's army to disperse arrant crowd. Nigeria has more than a Brigade of riot or mobile police who are equipped with tear gas and rubber bullets for crowd control. I really wonder who would have a person with above mindset as a compatriot. I suggest you have a change of forum handle name.

A Northern group under the auspices of Arewa Youth Assembly, AYA, has called on the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government to act swiftly to end the SARS protest that has swept across the Country..

They said Nigerians reserve the right to safer environments to go about their normal businesses, hence any effort by miscreants to disrupt the peace should be met with stiff resistance.

we must understand that every Nigerian reserve the right to safer environments to go about their normal businesses, hence any effort by miscreants in the name of protesters to disrupt the peace of this great nation will be met with stiff resistance,” the statement observed.

The statement said, “Only this morning, there was the news of the unfortunate jailbreak in Benin correctional centre, we fear this is going to become the trend of events, if measures are not put in place, this might escalate to further mayhem which will be capable of creating turmoil all around the country.

This is not good for the peace we have so far enjoyed.

It called on President Buhari to act swiftly and put an end to the protests on the streets.
“We are no longer comfortable with what might come up next..

“Again, we will resist any attempt to undermine the peace we enjoy. It’s Nigeria first before any thing,” the statement said.

Politics / Re: Rauf Olaniyan: SARS Operatives Extorted Me Twice - Oyo Deputy Governor Says by Dede1(m): 8:47pm On Oct 19, 2020
DamnnNiggarr:

EndSARS: SARS operatives extorted me twice — Oyo deputy governor

Rauf Olaniyan, the deputy governor of Oyo State, has revealed how some operatives of the recently proscribed Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) extorted money from him in various currencies including naira, dollars and pounds in Lagos.

Mr Olaniyan had last week declared his support for EndSARS protesters.

The deputy governor, while addressing the protesters last week, said that he was a victim of police brutality twice.

Mr Olaniyan, who spoke at the weekend, recounted how the special unit of the police collected money from him without being found guilty of any offence.

He said that on a particular occasion, while he was rushing to catch a flight, SARS operatives took all the monies he had on him (both local and foreign) and that even an appeal to them to spare him some to use when he gets to his destination fell on deaf ears.

He added that only reforms of the police will help address all the anomalies in the system.

“I was a victim twice, once at Ikeja roundabout and at Ojota ramp when you want to negotiate around Ikorodu road to the express.

“Ask my driver. We were ransacked there. What only saved me was the fact that I had some money with me. I had to part with over N100,000. It was terrible.

“That of Ikeja, they took pounds sterlings, they took dollar notes, all the money I had because I was travelling. I was eager to go and catch my flight, they emptied me.

“I even pleaded with them that I planned to spend the foreign currencies when I get to my destination, they said people there that I was going to meet will take care of me. They were very very notorious,” Mr Olaniyan said.

He said that banning SARS is not the only solution, but total reform of the police force.

“It is not only #EndSARS but we need complete police reformation. Some of them are very nice, good, decent and even professionals.

“But some of them may not even be in SARS outfit but they behave just like them, so what we need is a complete police reformation.

“If they disband SARS, they should be retrained on how to relate and deal with civil society,” he said.

https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/more-news/421658-endsars-sars-operatives-extorted-me-twice-oyo-deputy-governor.html

If the above crap, which can only come from Yoruba man, is remotely true, I suggest Mr Olaniyan should quit his position as a deputy governor and turn his back at politics. What a joke.

If Nigeria disintegrates will that help your fondness for seeing and accepting no evil from your own while you blame Nigeria and Nigerians for everything?

Will the demise of Nigeria blot out the fact that Igbos are going to a Biafra with Igbo killers and sadists, at leadership level, who do not care about the sanctity of Igbo lives?

Ending Nigeria will somehow obliterate the reality of what Igbos have to deal with which is a Biafran leadership class of very wicked and evil law enforcement, elite, political and business leaders who have no qualms carrying out unspeakable evil against their fellow Igbos?

Keep blaming Nigeria and Nigerians for everything. Lets hope it all goes well for you in Biafra once you get there.

Where did you inherit the bolded? To the contrary, disintegration of the cesspit called Nigeria will give me a baseline to punish the evildoers among us without feeling their accomplices from other ethnic groups may go free. Were you a Biafran as to know the characters of the leadership? The leadership in Igbo land at this moment emerged due to Nigeria. I can blame Nigeria for sure.
