Most of this guys were mentally stable b4 joining the work, but most of them have seen blood, killings that's what tamper with most of their mentality. Cox every soldiers must go through psychological test in the zonal screening.. so don't blame this guys mostly

If i may ask, why was he with a rifle then if he was not on duty?

Yes, he must legally be deployed there. So that if anything happens, he would have the backup from his units. They take orders almost before doing anything. If u watch that American movies titled BLACK HAWK DOWN U will see that when enemy were shooting at the soldiers, one of the gunner had to alert the colonel they they re shooting at them, b4 he told them to shoot baq... do u think that calling for legal reinforcement is as easy as u think. The order must come from the above. Cox no Commanding officers would want to take the blame if any other damages occurs from the higher authority. So when the soldiers knows all these procedures. And maybe they were at that particular place at the moment on their own errand. So they would be left out than to take cover. Or If they expend the Ammunition in anything their unit is not involved in, do u think the Commanding officer would take it lightly with them. Many people are seeing them cox they re soldiers they should just do anything, but never know what might happened after the real deal....

Bro calm down, is not the way you re seeing it. Those soldiers are not on assignment over the area, not there area of Jurisdiction, and as u can see, the military is not aware of their staying there, definitely they might just be on errand of their own from their main place of duty, and if anything should happen to those guys, Army authorities would deny them cox they were not sent for the operation from their barracks. If they were to be sent there Army can't send two soldiers not fully kitted to that kind of situation. Definitely if they try to fire single shot. They might run out of arms and no one would supplied them with arms cox they were not sent there officially. And when they eventually died. ARMY would not give them their benefits and would not pay their family. So do u want them to execute the operation when fully know what is going to be next after their demise. THEY CANT CALL FOR BACKUP COX THEY RE NOT OFFICIALLY DEPLOYED THERE so what they should do is to just take cover and be safe, then they can only protect themselves with the gun holding if the Armed robbers eventually face them. But not going to confront almost 10 armed robbers with 2 guns comprises of 60 rounds. Fighting is not like that...

Many are just insulting the soldiers as if they re the ones guiding those banks, what happened to those Mopol that are being paid to secure the bank, Police didn't send reinforcement to take over the situation, it's soldiers that re not mean to safe the bank u re all seeing.. is that the work of the soldiers or the police to secure that area?? Or u want those soldiers to start shooting when it's not their place of assignment and were not known to their commander. The gun they re holding is only to safe themselves in that situation cox they re not drafted there for robbery attack as they re just on their own there. Many people will be saying all sort of nonsense when they don't knw the rules and law guiding those military guys. All what they want to see is that so far u put on soldier uniform u should start dramatize.

If u re reasonable, u should have known that firstly: those soldiers are just 2 I'm number, secondly they re not drafted to the scene for operation, they re not there for the particular operation their staying there is just coincidence, they re not the one to perform the operation when it is fully police duty, but u won't see police there.. so do u want 2 soldiers with just 30 rounds of Ammunition each to face more than 10 robbers with enough Ammunition cox they fully prepared for the robbery. U can only blame soldiers if they were sent there by their commander and u now see them hiding. But just because u see 2 soldiers their and u expect them to take full responsibility without the knowledge of their commander. It's not done that way, what if they engaged those robbers with just 60 rounds of Ammunition and got exhausted will u be the one to supply them arms or they should now waited for reinforcement when no one sent them to the area in the first place. I don't knw why Nigerians forget that being a soldier doesn't mean u don't have family either. And their lives also matters.
