This protest was about bad governance and police brutality, and overall hardship...It is shameful to see criminal youths breaking all the shops and looting, stealing and killing, these hoodlums have killed quite a number, and inflicted injuries and losses to businesses worth billions.

Why did the Nigerian security apparatus abdicate its duty, the curfew was to differentiate criminals from legitimate Nigerians, so why tolerate mob of criminals with cutlass, sticks and local guns to operate freely?

Where are the police crack team to deal with this criminality?...the police officers are still collecting salaries, or are they scared?

Nigerian citizens are being harrassed and intimidated by these hooligans, their businesses are being destroyed, security operatives should take control of the state, otherwise they will be reprisal attacks, all it takes is a few AK rifles to disperse these fools. The protests has ended, those online chest beaters who stay inside supporting mayhem only know when violence starts no one knows when and how it ends, if there is total breakdown of law and order,i hope you have a gun, cos a criminal has no friend, he will prey on any opportuinity, once their money and funds are low, they will come rob you. The mission is not to burn down Lagos state, the mission is to protest against police brutality, and bad governance, you all have been warned!

The protest has ended, the security forces must resume its duties...has the police abdicated its functions...the police more than anyone must know that hoodlums always hijack protests...the police must return to the streets and deal devisively with these robbers and killers on the prowl...the call was to end SARS and bad governance, no one said end police.

Stop with the burning, the goal is to make the country better, not burning it down. We need direction now, FG should give concessions to the people, and show an humble approach. The security apparatus must be effective, there should be patrols on the streets and roads to forestall further damages. Our security officers need equipments and training/gear to handle mobs with sticks and cutlasses, they must not use live ammunitions, unless the other person is with live ammunition. We want a professional police, to fight against the crime, and serve legitimate Nigerians. General laws of engagement says, response should be equal and proportionate. The People did not say end police, no they are saying end the brutality and injustice in the system...This protest is beyond police, so i do not know why the government is not securing the streets with security operatives, to stop this looting and criminality. Protesters are clearly different from looters.

Nigeria is not an islamic country, the excesses and nepotistic stance of FG is part of our major problem.

Robbers give yourselves brain, do not invade or attack ordinary citizens, people are angry now....

True they are trained for war. However, we the protesters don't respect the police. In protest grounds we've chased many of them away and outrightly threatened some.

Plus the protest was getting violent anyway thanks to the touts taking over.

The best solution would have been to retreat and give government a little time to implement the demands but if they don't, WE MOVE !

you can not blame inefficiency of leaders on the people, the political leaders are there to manage the country, not just eat money, if they can not control the situation and manage properly they should resign.

most youths have been living in poverty and hunger, their lives have been in chaos...the FG should concede, give concessions immediately, reduce fuel price, reduce cost of foodstuff via govt intervention on farmers, reduce phcn bill.
