Iran: State TV shows preparation of missiles ahead of strike on US Iraq base

Iranian state TV has released footage purportedly showing preparations ahead of Tehran’s missile attack on al-Asad Airbase housing US forces in Iraq on Wednesday. Footage shows warehouses housing the missiles in an undisclosed location as well as launch preparations by Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) officers.

People forget that most Iranians are Shiites. Shiites have this persecution complex and regard American action as a continuation of the centuries of injustice against the shiites. To them, any attack on Iran is attack on Shiism and their response is to resolve to die if need be to defend their faith. That's why when Trump was issuing threats to scare them, they never cared a hoot and went ahead to strike back. Iranians have been building up their defence capabilities for decades that today they can't be toyed with. They vowed to swiftly retaliate against US and they did. Trump's threats turned out to be empty. Those shiites, very strongheaded!

US works tactically, that man was a threat to them, he had a cult like following, hence taking him out is not good for Iran's international security operations, he was not preparing for his death, hence he has not passed on or instructed his successor on important secrets...the US understand that in such regions they build strong men, rather than strong institutions, hence taking out a strong man can really deal a blow to the nation, and set them back strategically, in terms of influence and control of the region. It doesn't apply here, thanks...we are looking for ways to avert destructive wars, like world wars, of course there will always be conflicts, but large scale conflicts and world wars can be averted.

Most times people get what they wish for...I think the best way of averting world war 3, is stopping the creation of warfare weaponry, when nations have these weapons, they will want to use it, this causes escalation, and rapid destruction. There should be a ban on heavy weapons production, this is the sure way.

Our government should monitor happenings in the global scene carefully, nations are fighting proxy wars all over, all for religious and political agenda. The recent happenings between America and Iran will have global effects, we should step up our security in the light of this.

We are already paying too much, government should subsidise electricity for Nigerians by reducing taxes for disco operators.
